I love going to Almost Heaven to study or even relax. They have plenty of seating areas. I absolutely loved their pistachio latte. It was so flavorful and delicious. The Caprese Panini is always my go-to. It is so refreshing and light, which makes it a perfect lunch or dinner meal. I always look forward to it when I know that I am going there. Truthfully one of the cutest coffee shop in Morgantown. They are decked out in fall decor and have a fall menu for spooky season! Small inside, but has lots of tables outside for dining. Service at this place could be better. It seems like they need double the staff that they have for a busy weekend morning. Both our food and drinks took a long time to come out. Overall, our "toasts" were good, but they weren't toasted. It was just avocado on bread which was disappointing. Coffees were both good. read more

I've stopped into this cafe several times over the years and I'm never disappointed. I love that they have an app that's very user friendly to order ahead. On this visit, I scheduled an order for 9:30am pickup. According to the app, the order was ready a lot earlier. When I went inside, I waited about 30 seconds behind one person in line before I was greeted by the cashier. I gave my name and mentioned that I ordered through the app. She handed me my bag and coffee and I was on my way. They have a small area for comfy seating inside and a few tables with umbrellas outside. We chose to eat our breakfast sandwiches outside at a table. Once I opened the plastic container, I could tell the order definitely had been sitting for a little. Not a huge deal, but it wasn't as hot as I had expected. The bagel and toppings were fresh and delicious, though. The almond joy latte was flavorful and just slightly sweet. The quality of everything I've ever gotten here has been high, but so are the prices. One sandwich and a 16oz latte set me back ~$16 before tip and that was after a 20% new app user discount. read more

The salad is got was delicious! Everything in it was fresh. The chicken tasted good. They keep the salads premade in the to go refrigerator parallel to the register. The iced s'mores latte that i got was delicious! It is a seasonal drink but they actually toast real marshmallows on the top for you. It does require a lot of stirring with your straw to get everything mixed up. The salad dressings are not in the salads. The person that check you out will give you one of your choice (they have several). Everyone was very friendly and quick. They make great recommendations. The place is always packed and there is limited number of seating. They having seating outside but there are no umbrellas to shade yourself. This place is the definition of an aesthetic coffee shop. Super cute set up, beautiful desserts and a ton of specialty drinks! Got the sugar cookie which was pretty good! Also tried a variety of drinks: vanilla latte, marshmallow mocha and peppermint latte. All are very good. If you like sweet lattes this is the place for you! This was our last stop in Morgantown over the long weekend and after checking out a couple other dessert spots, this was our favorite! Our drinks came out fairly quick and they had interesting options. My partner got a carrot cake latte which had little bits of cake in it while I got the pistachio latte. I asked for mine half as sweet, which may have contributed to why it was hard to make out any pistachio flavor. The desserts really stood out. I enjoyed my carrot cake although the slice was very small. My partner loved his cinnamon bun and the cake he got, both of which he ate when we got home. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try, despite the surprisingly low reviews. read more

Bought this banana bread dessert from here yesterday and opened it up this morning to have for breakfast. It is absolutely covered in mold on the top and even the bottom. If you know anything about banana bread, you'd know to keep it in a cold area to prevent mold. Really disgusting and disappointing. The shop itself was honestly filthy. Crumbs and trash all over the tables. I'm not surprised their desserts are spoiled. Be careful if you shop here, check your desserts for mold. read more

This coffee shop is close but the quality of the food and drinks places this shop in the "bored wife needs a job" category its clean, cute, in a good location, and seems to be popular. But I am not sure I would call anyone working there a barista. The espresso-based coffee is drinkable as long as it's masked with a lot of sugar or milk. Ordered a cappuccino and got an overly milky latte with no attention to the quality of foam. It's not often I say this, but if there was a Starbucks next door, I'd just save myself the trouble and order a drip with half and half--sometimes reliable beats pretentious mediocrity and the attention to detail of a fast food gas station restaurant. The next thing: the cookies are dry and horrible tasting. The chocolate chip cookie is a Crisco cookie--no buttery goodness at all; they actually left a slimy feeling in my mouth. If you feel the need to rush to the bathroom after a coffee and cookie from this place, don't just blame the badly prepared coffee--those seed oils in the baked goods might be the real poison. read more

The Bridgeport location is great, but this one is rubbish. They're always out of items but don't tell you until you've already paid. Then they forget half your order, and when you ask them for it, they make the wrong thing (twice today, actually). They are incredibly slow, just some kids goofing off and eating in the kitchen instead of working. I thought it was a fluke, but three times in a row is just poor service. Solely a food review I cant speak for the coffee here, but almost every customer had a drink in their hand. From their options, it looks like they know what they are doing with their drinks. The blackberry pie was the best things that I tried here. This hit the spot for me in so many ways. Buttery, flaky crust, deep blackberry flavor, and plenty of gooey warm filling. The Apple pie was very similar, but I thought the blackberry was even better. Still, it seems like the pie slices here are the best choice you can make. Cookie was OK, although I wish I could have it when its fresh out of the oven. This holds up hours after. While its not gooey soft in the middle, it melts down pretty well in my mouth. Comparable to Nancy B's in Pittsburgh, but a step down. Reese's cheesecake was good, but it wasn't as magical as I had hoped. This should have been called a Reese's topped cheesecake, because there was no peanut butter cups or chocolate except on top. First off the shop is adorable, and staff was friendly. The PB pie was to die for. The cinnamon roll was a hit amongst my family. The scone and coffee were ok. I found the coffee to be too sweet. We came in to try the desserts, specifically looking for the "jumbo" cookies. Only the m&m cookie looked on the "large" size, still not jumbo. And all the others were just normal cookie size. I didn't want m&m, so I got the cranberry cookie. The pic shows the size after I ate half of it. My husband didn't want m&m either, so he chose a box of assorted cookies off the shelf, apparently not price-tagged. The woman rung up the box and my $2.50 normal cookie, and said "$30"!! My husband was shocked and embarrassed so he paid for it and we left, but that was OUTRAGEOUS. This is a huge plus in comparison to other coffee shops. I came here for breakfast and it had a variety of areas to sit and study if you just do so.
