This has been the place I go to when I need the basic stuff for nails. They don't have all the nicer brand nail colors, "young nails, valentino, vetro, etc" but they have the usual brands that regular nail salons have. It s a small shop and it's great to pick up things you need. I came and bought a top coat since I was in the area. Not a lot of nail art stuff. I also wanted nail wipes but didn't have any. read more

I usually had good experiences with the younger employee but I've ran into a couple encounters with the older woman she is pretty rude she will watch you and make you feel uncomfortable as if you're going to steal which I kind of understand im sure they deal with theft pretty often but atleast try to not make it so obvious lol not to mention I accidentally dropped a nail polish which ended up being completely fine. She made me hand it to her, after I offered to pay for it even though it was not damaged she still had a horrible attitude. Again I understand they might deal with certain situations on a daily basis which causes them to react this way but it does more harm than good for your business. Do better. read more

Don't buy anything from this store. It's a scam. I took my machine to get repaired today. My machine wasn't broken, but the old owner deliberately took out my parts and damaged my grinder. He wants to charge me $50. read more

Such an amazing nail supply store! They have everything you could possibly need there and were very helpful. I had accidentally went in 10 minutes before they closed and they still helped me and allowed me to look around without rushing me. They are so kind there! read more

Very experienced people here and great pricing. So for the best price for gloves is the best in town. What definitely come back

I love the fact that they labeled prices on almost everything. You don't have to go there and ask them how much each and every item costs like the other stores around the area. The store itself is very small and compact. Only 2-3 people can be on each aisle. If you are going to use your credit card, you have to spend a minimum of $25. The only downfall is that they are always out of stock on some items like the popular DND top coat and base coat. If you're buying a brush from them, they will crimp the brush for you! Btw, they have a whole section dedicated to Kiara Sky. You can sometimes save a couple bucks there instead of buying from her website. read more

I love this place. The store has a wide selection and at a very reasonable price. The items are even sometimes cheaper than online prices. I always get my dip powders from them. It's a family own business, but they are very knowledgeable about the products. The place is small but very neat and items are labeled according. I know that there are some reviews about shoppers being followed around, however the the owner has taken an initiative to address this issue at the storefront since there has been various theft incidents at the location. Keep in mind that this is a family business, and the items are already cheap so it's burden on them given the pandemic time. The owners are very nice and helpful. I say definitely check them out. I will continue purchasing from them and I recommend anyone who's interested in getting started in nails to check them out to get good professional items at a very reasonable price! read more

They are eager to assist you and always have what I need and then some!!! Their prices are Great as well!!

Really rude, bad customer service in store and if you call also rude, every time I go inside they follow you and they never know what they have in stock, I also called to see if I product was in stock and they said I don't know why don't you come look yourself read more

I have been doing my own dip nails since COVID and decided to check this place out. They have a wide selection of dips, gels, filers, UV lights, etc etc. Don't let the old reviews from years ago fool you, the place is very tidy and their selection is huge. They had the full range of kiara sky dips and polishes as well as their new all-in-one powders. In total, I spent $28. You have to spend at least $25 right now to use your card. Dips were $9, brush was $6. Even more affordable than buying them straight from the website. I recommend this place. read more

ALO Nail Tech Supply - What I picked up - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Sacramento, California

As a nail tech of 20 years, I have been in many nail supplies stores. This store is not the cheapest compared to other ones I have gone to, but it is in the top 3 of over 100 nail supply store visits for friendly customer service and having a greater-than-normal variety of nail supplies. The two workers there, a man and a woman, treated me on my visit on January 2, 2023, with professionalism and warmth. Small nail supplies stores are not the friendliest, compared to corporations, but whoever owns this one does not fit into that descriptor. The experience I had on that date made me want to buy more to support their small business because they were so kind. Again, the prices were not the cheapest (or most expensive), but the experience was quite worthwhile read more

Very rude followed me around then accused me of stealing. After I brought back the item I "stole" there was not apology or anything then they stood outside blocking the doors while me and my mom were sitting in the car. read more

As a manicurist for a very long time it's refreshing to find a nail supply company with great customer service. They've always answered my questions and pointed me in the direction of whatever supplies I may be looking for at the time. They carry a lot of great brand selections. read more

I just left Alo and as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile (which made me feel better because I was nervous) The workers there were so nice and helpful especially Coo (i'm sure I spelled his name wrong) I spent about $80 for the products and he walked me through the items that I would need and didn't need. he even threw in some free manicure files. I definitely will be back. excellent customer service. I always feel profiled in places like those but they treated me very well. read more

So I docked one star bc when we arrived, they were watching us like hawks as if we were going to steal things. Understandable, I get it - maybe they've been hit a time or two. They were very nice and really, it was awesome customer service. Even if it was to keep an eye on us lol They were nice, informative and even set up my UV light (put the bulbs in and showed me how to use it even!)and drill (they put the pieces together for me)! Great prices! Awesome customer service. There are a ton of options and high brands. I will DEF be returning!!!! Have to add!! Super affordable. I mean the prices are GOOD! read more

THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE NAIL PLACE! For those familiar with the supply store in San Jose (US nails), this is similar, but better. A few people have mentioned iffy staff, but the woman who helped me was so kind. She saw me carrying 5 of the gel+normal combo boxes ($5 each) and went to go grab me a basket. She also threw in my little 50 cent buffer thing for free. I also picked up some cuticle oil. Next time I may spend a little more time there looking at everything, but was just in for nail polish. The only thing I would add is maybe more clear prices by the items, since I had to ask about the nail polishes. I can't wait to go back! read more

Had a bunch of options, the lady was so nice and pointed me to everything I needed! Definitely recommend

I came here the day after New Years (Chinese, Vietnamese), and they guy was like $3 OPI $2.50 China Glaze because it's New years. I was like WHAT?!?!? Lemme just buy the whole store. I didn't, and I came back to the regular prices of $4 for OPI and $3 for China Glaze. Still pretty cheap but their selections are limited. I did find the Shrek line here and the guy is trying to get rid of his Orly stash, which he gave to me for $2 each. $20 minimum to use your card. ***Note to self: Come here around New Years read more

This Viet owned nail supply is amazing! Their prices on basic supplies are much more inexpensive than in my hometown of Reno, NV. A gallon of pure acetone in Reno is $20, at ALO, it is $8.50! I make the trip about once a year, usually around the September beauty show, and I'm set in product. They are super friendly and even help bring my boxes out to my car! Such gentlemen. There are a few other nail supply places in the neighborhood, but they don't compare! I highly recommend a stop here. read more

The staff is very covid safe. This is my favorite nail shop in Sacramento. They have a lot of choices for low cost products as well as Kiara Sky's full line. You can get anything here. There is a $25 minimum but if you do nails you HAVE to go here read more

Come here for some of my supplies when I can't order online. I've bought some of my acrylics here. Some items tend to be pricier than online shops but that all comes with the convenience I guess. This place is definitely more organized and clean than others in the area. The reason I'm rating 4 stars is because the staff aren't so friendly. Besides that I can appreciate that they don't follow me around the store! read more

This little shop, though catering to nail salons and professional manicurists, is open to the public. Everything is sold at wholesale price. They stock a wide range of lotions, foot scrubs, nail files, buffers, cutting and trimming tools and nail polish! Most things are sold in bulk though a fair number of stuff is sold individually. The BEST part is they have a wide selection of that popular brand with the fun and clever names for $4 a bottle. The latest colors are always in stock and they're authentic-- I've checked the bottles and labeling against online resources re: nail polish knock-offs and this stuff is the real deal. This shop and the customer service is catered toward industry clientele, not random individual customers. They operate under the assumption that folks who show up there knowing what they're doing/looking for. Folks come in, grab lots of stuff off the shelves, pay and leave. If you're not sure what you need or want, do your research online (or elsewhere) before coming in. read more

Dirty, cramped nail supply shop. I like that you can get certain disposable products for cheap. Other items are overpriced and I could easily get them at Sally's or Cosmoprof. I didn't like the older lady following me around as if I was going to steal. She literally walks right behind you the whole time. Never got comfortable enough so I just picked up a couple of nail polishes and had her ring me up. read more

02/02/19 I called in the same day I believe it's the owner around 40-50s to see if they carry DND gel nail polish set and I'm so excited that they carry the old version (0.5oz over 100 colors $6) and the new version (0.6oz around 50-100 colors $7, gold color bottle(fancy)) I didn't get a chance to shop around since I had my toddler and the owner never made me feel unwelcome or uncomfortable (you know what I mean) he ever gave her 3 mandarin oranges and was very friendly to both of us. The store is very neat would definitely be coming back!!! read more

Where I get my gel polishes. I love the IBD brand. Easy to apply and pretty colors. Great pricing, doesn't beat the pricing of stores in LA but close enough. The owner is always there and always gives me a discount for paying cash ;). Super friendly if needed, other than that he just lets you be while you shop. IBD gel polish $7.00 I also purchase face masks and boxes gloves for my employees at work and cant remember the pricing but know its dirt cheap! read more

So I went looking for the Kiara Sky dip nails and founnnd it yay!!! I'm so happy... I would've paid 30 bucks more for the case and an extra powder... these guys are super nice and helpful... and unlike other places you don't need a student I.d nor will they follow you around (which I hate with a passion) they let you decide what you need and give suggestions but aren't pushy which is a plus. I usually have to go all the way to oakland to get nail supplies and deals, this is my 2nd time here and needless to say I'm gonna be here all the time. read more

so friendly and helpful here. i love it. i come often and the service is super consistent. such a convenient little spot.

My favorite store! They're really nice every time I go in and are helpful when asking about a product.

Came here once before with some friends and thought it was a decently stocked beauty supply store. Well, I was wrong. When I came again this time, the old man (guessing he's the owner?) was rude and condescending when I asked him if he carried certain items. Since the owner was so rude about answering my questions, I decided to look around the store myself, to which they both began creepishly staring me down like a pair of hawks. After looking at his nail polish, I found that 95% of his stuff looks like it's been sitting on the shelf for years. Some of the colors even looks discolored and many of the bottles were open/used before because you can see nail polish crusted around the opening. Also, MOST of the nail polish colors that he has for sale are really outdated colors. Like, from the 90s. All the "good" nail colors are either "sold out" or as I suspect, he never got them because I get a discount/closed-out-items vibe from this store. The worst part is most of his items are not labeled with a price, so when you ask him for the price he always gave a ridiculously overpriced answer. I'm all for helping local shops, but in this case it's much better to save your time and money and just order straight from Amazon. At least you'll know you're saving yourself money AND your item hasn't been used before. read more

The selection has gotten better - but BEWARE - pay attention at check-out!!! I was told one price for items when I asked while shopping, and another at checkout(by the same man)! read more

Dirty. Outdated products. Makes me feel like a thief by stalking me as I shop. Loud arguing by staff/&or owners. Dangerous isles. Does not listen to questions about stock. Just keeps saying 'yes' we have that; when they clearly do not! Will say anything to get you to buy. High prices for dusty and outdated products. read more

I love this place I try to come here atleast once a week so I could complete my nails supplies. The service is good. I check out the VL nail supplies the lady keep following me like I was gonna steal something. I feel more comfortable shopping here. read more

Best place to go to for nail files. Especially if you've gone to VL, you'll really appreciate this shop's customer service! The man who's usually behind the counter is so sweet and helpful. This store is very neat and organized. This place is a great place to buy bulk files but as for everything else I would go somewhere else.
