Everything about my stay was great, but the reason I keep staying here is because of the bar. "Sydamazing" remembers my name, my drink order, and even where I'm from. She always makes me feel like I am coming to visit family and friends instead of work.

There are plenty of bars in The Domain, so why go to a hotel for drinks? In this case, because it's the WXYZ Lounge the The Aloft Hotel where you will find superior cocktails from a master bartender. You will meet Mike, who has been behind the counter for 8 years (and has created many of the drinks on the menu!).  He will identify what you are looking for, can educate you about your drink, the spirits, and his process. On top of that, he has a great personality! This lounge is quite small (it *is* in a hotel lobby) but there are comfortable chairs, couches, and tables for you. And most appreciated, it is fairly quiet. You can have actual conversation.  It's a wonderful way to close out your evening.  Superior cocktails in a comfortable setting. And, don't forget, prepare to tip Mike well! He will deserve it!

This was our first ever visit to Austin, coming for a family event, we stayed at this Aloft, as it was near the event we were going to attend. Wasn't aware what "The Domain" was and that it was in a huge shopping area, with a very active nightlife. This caused a pain for us to get in/out of the hotel via car, as there's tons of very slow and unreasonable traffic within this shopping center. Additionally, the noise at night, way past midnight is horrendous and it's definitely loud inside the hotel rooms! The sound of cars, loud stereos in the cars driving by, horns, and people was quite loud in our room on the 6th floor, which was distracting when trying to sleep. Regarding check-in, that went well, the young man who checked us in (I think his name is Shahin?) was very helpful and friendly. The staff for our visit was also very friendly. The location, though a pain in the a** due to the shopping center which this hotel is in the middle of. It was nice that this hotel was within walkable distance to lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping, but the noise and traffic negated this convenience. The bed was very comfy. The sliding door between the water closer and sink/room was very hard to slide, to which we advised the front desk after our first night and they said they'd fix it, but that never got done. Parking was terrible on the weekends, due to the clubs, bars and crowds hanging out in the shopping area, well past midnight! And the smell of marijuana was ridiculous in the garage and walking area back to the hotel. We most definitely WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!

We were just forced to leave this hotel due to there credit card system being down THAT WE ALREADY PAID FOR. We pre-paid a one night stay and just needed to check in. Due to the credit card system being down they couldn't authorize a $50.00 deposit to check in manually or through a credit card form. SEAN AND JUNE AT THE FRONT DESK SHOULD BE FIRED. Sean and June blamed me and my fiancé's credit cards for the decline. We also tried my unlimited corporate card and it was declined. We used 3 cards and no notification was sent alerting of the decline indicating fault on their end. We were told by the two hotel workers to, "add money to your accounts, we've done 64 transactions today and it's been working, you should call your bank and add funds." THAT IS NOT HOW A CREDIT CARD WORKS. The terrible customer service at the Aloft by Sean and June was demeaning and borderline racist as they smiled and helped others staying. We offered to leave our wallets, $200 in cash, and called chase bank to get a voice authorization. If we hadn't been able to get a last minute reservation at the Westin down the street we would have been sleeping in our car. BLAMING CUSTOMERS ON YOUR LACK OF TECHNOLOGY IS NOT AN APPROPRIATE WAY TO HANDLE. Thank you hotels.con for refunding my non-refundable room. NEVER STAYING AT THE ALOFT AGAIN. SEAN AND JUNE TAKE YOUR DIVERSITY TRAINING CLASS AGAIN YOU FAILED. AND THE ENTIRE PLACE SMELLS OF MILDEW DONT STAY HERE. You can see Sean waving in the last picture because his white privilege mindset thinks he's won.

Egg and Chorizo wrap $7 for this crap. It was so gross.

This a very nice hotel but I definitely wouldn't stay here again. This is a very noisy area. 5 different car alarms kept going off till 1 am and loud drunk people by the pool. And their breakfast SUCKS! Don't waste your money on their breakfast food. It way too over prices for crappy food. I could've got a way better and tastier breakfast at McD.

Not bad. Not the best, but not horrible. The good: -They give you free water...Dasani bottle in the room and there's always a bunch at the front counter -My room was clean -The shampoo and soap are in liquid form on the wall in the shower...so you won't run out. -The air conditioning works (I like meat-locker temperatures and this room did not disappoint) -The person that did my check in was friendly and helpful -They give you a voucher for breakfast items up to $10/day -There was a small refrigerator in my room -gym and pool looked OK (neither are very big) -room coffee isn't terrible The meh: -Some of the other people there aren't so friendly and helpful -I had 2 queen beds; not a lot of extra space to move around in the room -lobby area is a bit disjointed -the food options in the cafe are limited -parts of the room were in need of repair (specifically around the shower area) -the air-conditioning - while worked - was extremely noisy Still...I'd stay here again since it's super convenient to where my meetings were.

I've been DYING to go back ever sense. I don't think I can even explain to you how addictive and all consuming the joy of playing these games are. Bonus, it's for sure a work out. If I lived closer I would would be at this joint two or three times a week, and in the best shape of my life. The games are all fast paced and high energy, but does it feel like a workout? Not at all, until you realize when you are so SHWEATY. It's like burst sprints mixed with body weights and maybe some yoga? I just know that I loved it in a way that I haven't loved physical activity since I was in my teens. The staff was all super friendly too. The perfect kind of friendly as well. Polite, informative, but not all fake high energy/chatty like your at a kids camp. It was nothing but good vibes. It was fairly busy when we went, which means we had to cycle through rooms pretty fast, but there are so many rooms! You can always go back for your favorites again later, and some of the ones that "looked" boring were actually the most fun for me. I was practically BEGGING them to give me a membership, but they don't do those... Yet? There was some discussion of some locations offering memberships as a trial run, and that it might become a thing nationwide. *fingers crossed* GO!

Loved the variety of room, didn't love the wait time that counted against your total time if you weren't in a room. Not sure how it would be possibly, but having your minutes tick away while you waited for the groups in front of you to finish with a room was irritating. Our family of five did have a boatload of fun though at 8, 11, 14 and 42. Lots of skills levels so it was good to be able to pick a variety of games. Note to anyone with shorter kids - maybe skip the basketball room as our 8 year old took a rebounding ball right to the face because he was the perfect height. Also, sometimes the rooms don't work. We wasted time in one room because it stopped working and we didn't know. It let us do two full rounds with literally nothing happening. They do fix them fairly quickly, but your time is gone already and you don't get it back ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This would be great on a weekday where I assume the crowds are smaller. Would do again - we all came out sweaty and smiling.

The property reminds me of something that you would see in a movie somewhere in the southwest where people are just trying to hide out and not be found. It has such a cute rustic feel, with a lot of Texas flair. From the minute you arrive, you are given great service, greeted with amazing sense of essential oil, oils and leather with their signature fragrance in the form of a candle or room spray. For just $30 we were able to check in early at 1 o'clock instead of three which was great since I drove in town and had a lunch reservation, this gave us time to get unpacked and rest for a minute before heading over to the restaurant. They have lots of options in the mini bar, whether you are wanting an adult drink or just something cold and fizzy. When we arrived, they did give us a complementary bottle of water as well as a cold beer that I sat out on our little porch and enjoyed as the rain started to come down. I love all of the detail put into these rooms, it is such an amazing property, but I'll be honest there were way more kids than I expected, but it was Easter weekend so I guess a lot of families were traveling. I really wanted to get into the pool, but it was massively crowded. They have an outdoor bar as well as a café on the property that has live music and an enormous fireplace and plenty of big screen TVs to watch sports. Every evening they light up the fire pits and if you want to make s'mores, you can purchase a s'mores kit for just $10. They do not allow smoking in the rooms but allow you to smoke on the little patio outside your door. This has definitely become one of my favorite places to stay in Austin, which is difficult because there are so many amazing places in Austin, but Lone Star has definitely stepped into my top five. The young man that checked us in was great and he comped our valet parking! Truly phenomenal service. I'm looking forward to coming back!

This boutique hotel delivers a resort-inspired experience with an upscale twist and is known for its vintage charm with modern amenities. I arrived on Friday night and check-in was efficient, I had to provide my credit card for incidentals. I was given a choice of beer or bottled water upon check-in. The host directed me to my room location. There were several parking lots on the property and I was able to park close to the building with my room which was convenient. The provided a parking permit for complementary parking. The rooms offer a seamless blend of modern comfort and relaxed luxury and well-designed with a very open floor plan with a farmhouse door separating the restroom from the bedroom area. I was on the third floor. Each room had rocking chairs out front for a relaxing vibe. I especially appreciated how easy it was to step right outside and be in a communal space. it made connecting with others throughout the weekend effortless. One of the highlights was the courtyard area. Whether it was live music, lounging by the pool, or just gathering around in the evenings, the atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming. It struck a nice balance between fun and laid-back. They had many communal areas set up with fire pits and a nice outdoor communal bar area where we held our silent disco. They also had a great event space where they hosted our group. The Water Trough bar and restaurant provided a breakfast and dinner dining experience. They also had an indoor bar area with live music for entertainment. Only issue was they did run out of food at dinner. The location in the Domain is also a positive. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, so there was always something to do between retreat activities. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the social atmosphere can get a bit noisy at times, especially if you're looking for a quiet stay. But for a group event or weekend getaway, it actually adds to the charm. We contributed to the noise with our outdoor kareoke set-up. Overall, Lone Star Court is a great choice if you're looking for something comfortable, stylish, and built for connection. Perfect for group retreats or anyone wanting a more lively, communal hotel experience.

The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between chic sophistication and laid-back fun, with clean architectural lines, modern décor, and dim lighting that creates an inviting ambiance. During our visit, we learned that the longtime bartender had recently moved on and been replaced by Sydney, who was absolutely delightful. When she discovered we were celebrating my friend's birthday, she rallied everyone at the bar and throughout the lounge area to sing "Happy Birthday." The gesture was unexpected, heartfelt, and instantly made the evening feel special. As fate would have it, another guest was celebrating a birthday as well, so the entire group enthusiastically sang for her too. The bar clearly has a loyal following, as several regulars were gathered throughout the evening...a testament to the welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back. Syndey crafted custom cocktails for both my friend and me, working with only two instructions: tequila for her and vodka for me. The results were refreshing, creative, and expertly crafted. What could have been just another night out became a memorable birthday celebration thanks to the warmth, hospitality, and personal touches at W XYZ Bar. For that, I'm truly grateful.
