Driving through NY and decided to stay at the Aloft in a Buffalo. It was a wonderful stay! The rooms were clean and comfortable and additionally the staff was so accommodating. Let's start off with Kiana, she was amazing and engaging and knew exactly how to put a smile on our face when we checked in. Tasha, the cook extraordinaire, cooked up the best quesadilla, hit the spot and I'd order again. Donna, don't let the name fool you, the youthful bartender was so sweet and cordial. She had the bar dialed in and kept the clientele happy and inline. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the morning front desk lady ( sorry!) she was a sweet heart and had a good sense of humor. Lastly, Paul, the GM, he is so proud of his team and so engaged. It was so wonderful to speak with him. Marriott has a gem of a crew at this Aloft. Hold them tight! read more

The Aloft at the Buffalo Airport is good for a quick overnight. We stayed there the night before we flew out of the airport ( they have a great stay and park package) The rooms offered enough space, the shower had good pressure- but the tile floor is super slippery. The shuttle to airport was quick... the carpets in the hallway and rooms smelled like they had just been cleaned and hadn't had time to dry- a little musty... we heard other guests talking about it the lobby... the location is central to everything and the lobby is welcoming and the staff is top notch... read more

I had a Jet Blue flight out of Buffalo Airport, so I stayed at the boutique like Aloft Buffalo Airport Hotel. One of the features I liked at the hotel was the Wxyz Lounge Aloft Buffalo airport. The décor of it is strikingly unique with an ultra-contemporary modern design. It was not only eye pleasing but lending to a comfortable social atmosphere. It has plenty of good seating, tables for meetings, eating, drinking and even a very nice pool table. After 6 pm, you can order some food such the traditional Buffalo sandwich, "Beef on Weck," being roast beef on a salted and caraway seeded bun. Also, burgers, soups, and salads. However, at certain times complimentary foods are served as well as various complimentary drinks. My bar service was top notch professional, friendly, and polite. The drinks I had were also of a generous pour and my fellow hotel guests were all friendly. It took on the character of a being like neighborhood bar. read more

The Aloft near BUF is perfect if you're going to Buffalo for a short period time because it's so easy to get in and out. My favorite part of the hotel is how friendly the staff are. My least favorite would be the shower tile... I thought I was going to slip and fall! Rooms are clean though and that's what's really important. read more

Vibrant! Very attractive hotel with a lively bar and lounge area with a pool table, games, and many tvs for watching sports. Clean rooms and common areas. The gym looks really nice and there is an indoor pool right outside of it. Located near the airport with a free shuttle. The desk staff are kind and patient when assisting others. There is a 24 hour store with snacks and breakfast is available for purchase. Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty good. read more

Stayed here for work as I had an early flight out the next morning. This hotel is perfect for what it's designed for. It's very close to the airport, has a good workout room, has decent food, and a friendly staff. Rooms are big, heat worked well (it was 4 degrees outside), and it was quiet. Had a quick bite to eat at the bar, good selection of beers and an OK menu. Not a place I'm going to stay on vacation, but if you need something convenient to the airport, this is perfect. Okay, we have stayed at so many Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt hotels, I have lost track. Three people saved this hotel from a negative review. MS. Patto (Chef) who was amazing and so nice. Tierra and Keeyahna who were amazing in every aspect of customer service. These three individuals always took care of us for our long stay and always had a smile. The only negative we really had was that the elevator was out of order (again) and it was a hassle to get ice and/or wash clothes as the wait was terrible. I was also not greeted as a Titanium member. Recommend putting ice machines on every floor and consider more than one washer and dryer. I did not find that the ambiance matched the cost of the hotel room. Noisy, lots of kids, and my room was not cleaned. No complementary breakfast. Had to stop the cleaning crew in the hallway the next morning to get supplies. The bed was comfortable but I would not choose to stay here again. read more

We stayed here one night out of convenience for our extremely early flight the following morning. The main selling point of this Aloft is the location and proximity to the airport - it's VERY close, essentially right across the street. This made it very easy for us to get to the airport without any worries about time or traffic. However, that seems to be where the pros end...similar to other reviews, we were not very impressed with the quality of the hotel and room. From the beginning at check-in, staff was not very friendly or welcoming. Once inside our room, we started to notice more and more little things that were wrong - the shower door didn't close all the way, the light on one side of the bed didn't work, there was no soap provided for the bathroom sink, and barely any toilet paper left on the roll, leading to us needing to request a new one despite only being there for one night - amongst other things. The room setup was also a bit odd with a very large shower/toilet room but a small sink area with the mini fridge directly under the bathroom sink. Thankfully, it was only one night, but we would likely not return nor recommend it unless it's for pure necessity to access the airport and you don't plan on spending much time in the room itself! read more

Ended up here because the hubby "kidnapped" me from the city to surprise me with a trip to Niagara Falls. Due to Covid, the hotel was devoid of many guests. Everyone wears a mask and social distancing is strongly encouraged and enforced. The staff is absoluty lovely. It must be hard to know you have to be exposed to strangers from every damn where, especially now. The room was clean, as Alofts go it was fine. My only issue(?), complaint(?), question(?) is something I'd love to get some feedback on. Has anyone noticed if the bathroom sink faucet has a serious gangsta lean?. The faucet in my room leans at a 120° angle and is quite loosey goosey at the base where it meets the counter. I believe a previous room had the same thing but I don't recall if every Aloft room I've stayed in had this? I'm just trying to decide if this is due to wear and lousy maintenance or if it was a design aesthetic ( which would be tragic if it is) Anyway, we enjoyed ourselves, breakfast was very good and the staff is really great. Looked online to see where other book clubs met, and this location popped up. It is swanky inside. I loved the modern decor. Joe was attentive and made sure everyone in our group was taken care of in drinks and food, if we elected to get some. I just had a Malbec, which was $9. It's a beautiful hotel , such a comfortable bed . The room was beautiful , nice decoration . love the walking shower. The staff are nice and helpful . Stay there for a weekend and slept like a baby so quite and pleasant. They have a inside pool which is a bonus in Buffalo , swim pool is not deep but clean and so much fun to be there. I just wish they had jacuzzi but still it's fun to have a pool inside the hotel. The gym was amazing, big enough to do some cardio. Close to airport , like 5 minutes drive. There is a free shuttle to airport. There is a free parking there. There is no complimentary breakfast, how ever they have a nice breakfast for order . I booked a hotel here for my birthday before the New Year. The front desk associates are friendly and there to help with any questions you may have. I think it's near that they have a WXYZ bar in the lobby! As it was my 21st, this came in handy, hahaha. The bartender is super sweet and makes delicious drinks on the rocks. They also have a pool table, gym and pool. The pool table is directly next to the bar. What a perfect combination! Grab a drink and play a round of pool. I also thought it was neat that they had computers for guests to use if needed in the lobby. The room was a little small, but still nice! I loved the sink and the walk-in shower. My expectations for a hotel at a regional airport were very low. We ended up just abandoning our room and staying somewhere else. Beds were unsleepable, smoke detector was held on by electric tape, window was cracked throughout, toilet leaked from the back all over the already sticky floors, tv didn't work, Wi-Fi would have been quicker if it was connected with a tin can and string. I didn't bother asking for a room change because with the property being in such bad shape there's no way a different room would have made it better. Also notice all the positive reviews are from "elite" members. They probably get free rooms or paid to post those, unsure but there's no way people actually enjoy staying here. read more

The absolute worst Marriott chain I have ever visited. Room service was non-existence. Requested it daily and on one occasion we did receive one small towel, which was put in room but no room service! Went to front desk many times and was told on one occasion that the towels were all dirty and being washed. Had to take a roll of toilet paper off of a cart in the hallway because we ran out. We were very patient in dealing with all the issues, and even spoke to the manager regarding our disappointment but nothing was done. Put in a handicapped room with a leaky shower, and the TV rarely worked. I have since spoken with Calvin the manager and he told me he would "look into it and get back to me." Needless to say.. he has not.. We have stayed in many Marriott locations but everything about this Aloft was awful. I highly recommend another hotel in the area. read more

We decided to stay at Aloft hotel in Buffalo for my daughters soccer game. We met up with another soccer parent at the bar. Great selection of bourbons and the pour was long. Plenty of seating at the bar and tables for families . They have a restaurant as well and the couple next to me were enjoying a steak and wings. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They directed us to of couple restaurants in the area that they thought would be good selections. You would think you would hear the planes taking off but we didn't and our room was located on the top floor. The lay out of the room is not traditional but we enjoyed it. I'll be honest I didn't try the bean bag chair knowing that I would get stuck. The walk in shower is cool and water pressure is excellent. We will have to try other Aloft hotels in the future. read more

Ok I am a Marriott Guy tried and true, I decided to give the ALoft a shot,never again will I ever do this, When I arrived my room was not ready, I waited 2 hours and was given a different room than what I booked, I was willing to accept it,but the floor tile was not secure and lots of smelly water was coming up, video attached, I went downstairs and they worked on getting me another room, this one was the room I ordered but once again in very poor shape, there was a used wash clothe in the bathroom, the shower handle spun all around, the overflow in the tub is disconnected and on the floor of the tub along with the safety handle are pretty much falling off the wall.The wall paper in the main room is coming off the wall and guess what no alarm clock so good luck figuring out what time it is. But it does get a bit worse the pool floor has only what I can describe as slime and you can see that someone attempted in a few areas to squeegee it off the bottom, look at the pictures, the ceiling light at the end of the hallway is full of dead insects and some poor attempts at repairing the hallway ceiling are also included. All in all, I will never come back, there are plenty of other Marriott hotels nearby so I promise I will never return. read more

We've stayed at this hotel happily multiple times because of their pet policy, but they recently started charging a $75 fee for pets without disclosing it on their website (it is literally a handwritten addition at check in). The staff was rude when we tried to discuss the issue (apparently no means her would be available to answer my questions until 3am), and the room was gross with a wet carpet near the air conditioning. read more

After another horrible mass shooting, this time at my destination airport in FLL, I found myself scrambling to book last minute accommodations an airport shuttle away from BUF airport. Hotwire listed a 3-star property with amenities "Free parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Indoor pool(s), Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby" for $57, so I was pretty happy to see I got the aloft after committing to take it. The price I was seeing direct was $107, so even after the Hotwire fees (total $70), it was a nice discount. The hotel is very modern throughout, with a great bar and game room. I enjoyed a drink while shooting some pool while the subzero winds howled outside. Also notable is the McD's next door if you want a cheap fill when the kitchen here is closed. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are well laid out: why don't more places have beds face the windows? Genius. They made me as comfortable as possible given the unfortunate circumstances of my unplanned stay. read more

I have to say the staff are pleasant and interested in helping. But that implies help is needed. And it was. Came here for a sort of staycation. There's plenty of parking, but you may walk a bit depending on what's available. The checkin is front and center after you enter through the double set of sliding doors. Checkin super easy. The rooms are quite large and have a nice layout. Walk-in shower, no tub. Coffee maker (well stocked) and small fridge in room. Plenty of towels. Bed comfortable. Plenty of space to put your things. Desk. TV on wall. Good lighting. There's a restaurant of sorts - it's a little odd - you can order at the bar and get varied food options. Made on-site in a kitchen you can't see. Plenty of the food comes in to-go packaging. The bar is a nice space and easy area. There's a pool table that sees plenty of action. The gym is ice and the salt water pool awesome. Elevators are in the middle and have two looooong hallways - so you may get a room that's far away from the elevator. Very loud hotel. You can hear what's happening in the hallways outside your room. This hotel has large groups on occasion and I think may have a hard time managing them. I had a room change because of noise. I wasn't the only one. It's a fine hotel. For a good price well worth it. Especially if you like salt water pools. But bring earplugs andbyour walking shoes. read more

Please don't be scammed into this hotel---I entered a room where the bathroom had not been cleaned--in fact, was a revolting mess that resembled a crime scene. I immediately went to the desk and returned the key requesting no other room--at that point, I thought I was going to be sick. I then was assured I would not be charged--but I have been charged and I had to search for another room in a clean hotel. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Now when I call the number listed it says to enter 1 for reservations and when I do it basically goes to another recording saying the wrong number try another --WTH I will be posting this review anywhere and everywhere until I am refunded my money. Last minute we decided to stop here for the night before continuing our drive as it was late and we were both really tired. This hotel needs to be cleaned ASAP. This is not a new characteristic of this location. I've stayed at this location before, but did not Yelp about the uncleanness, thinking it was just a bad day (visible bodily fluid stains on the sheets on both beds and a pillow in the room)...Nope. This recent stay if interested- (i have to stay there again for business already booked, so I will add photos then). Elevators: strong urine smell, oil grime on doors & walls, dirt all over the flooring. Pool: Brown tint in the water. Brown sludge along the pools edges and pool stairs. Fitness Center: No sanitary wipes for machines or hands, but the large wall dispenser where they would have been was left hanging open & empty. Bottled waters offered on a nearby sign, but none were stocked on the shelf. The door was unsecured so anyone, guest or not could walk in without a hotel key. Room: Some bath towels appeared clean, three appeared soiled, crusted stains on them. Curtain would not close (drawchain broken). The glass lamp was visibly chipped. I didnt see it at first, & cut my hand turning on the lamp. Hospitality: Driver: Very pleasant. Careful with luggage. Informative about nearby food, shops, etc. Front Desk (on my groups check out): I walked into the hotel early this morning after drinking coffee outside, when I returned a young man was working the front desk. He saw me He said nothing. I wished him a good morning. He responded pleasantly, but as the paying guest I should not have had to make the greeting. Asked him whether the lobby computers were inoperable as I couldn't log on to look up flights (airport is across the street) He did not come to my aid. He asked if I needed printing, which I appreciated, but no assistance to see if maybe he could get it working. I am sooo in love! Like hard! I love the layout, look, feel, atmosphere, bed, and front desk staff! It took me back to my place and starbucks in midtown Houston! Check in was fast and painless. Super friendly Jersey Shore nice guy. Really helpful and fast. The lobby is so sharp! I love the look and vibe! I can't say enough how esthetically pleasing this entire place is I absolutely loved my room! Love the layout and convenience. It's sleek, clutter free, and cool. Spotlessly clean and fresh! Great salt water pool. Fast easy access Internet. Ample parking. Good bartender. Right by the airport. Free water bottles. Coffee spot. . The only gripe I had was the bathroom. The floor Is very slippery and the shower drains into a drain on the floor. There aren't enough hand rails for when you get out and walk on the wet slick floor. I threw Down the foot towel and shuffled my feet across the floor on it for grip. This is insanely slippery for pedicured lotioned feet like mine and my friend's. We used the shuffle on a towel method in the bathroom for a few hours after our showers . That aside it's great ! I highly recommend this place! I'll be back! read more

I had never stayed at a loft before, I thought I would give this place to try just for something different. I have to honestly say I was pretty underwhelmed. Loft is like a IKEA Hotel. Cheap Danish decor, small space, and inconvenient location of stuff like lighting, coffee machines. They do have a chair in the room, a bean bag chair. Now really? It was hard to get the room comfortable, it was either too hot or too cold. Worst part of the room is that it smelled of B.O. It smelled like an old locker room. For those who like it, the lobby does have board games and a pool table. There is a bar and they have a light menu for breakfast and dinner. Staff was friendly enough. But this wasn't for me. It was too much like Microtel, without the free breakfast. read more

I travel a lot. And while historical hotels may sound good on paper, modern chains & boutique hotels always be my preference. They clean, streamlined, full of amenities you actually want, and curiously designed. Aloft is a modern branch of Sheraton. It is beautifully executed concept of new chic hotel chain - over the top 60s decor, bar, pool table, fireplace, swimming pool, spacious comfy rooms. Oh, and yes, as all Sheraton, they are pet friendly, no charge. I ::heart:: them for that. This particular location has outstanding bar & great finger food, in case you arrive late and don't feel like going out. Working fireplace, drinks & bites, perfect to chill after long drive. (My only complain about this chain in general - it is inconsistent from location to location, and while this particular one is great, we stayed at others that were disappointment - but that is story for another review...) read more

We stayed 2 nites here. They were about a week apart. We loved that they accept dogs and do not charge for them. The beds were comfortable. Our room had a very large shower. Oh man. I'm a simple person, and there are two primary joys I look forward to when I stay at a hotel: (1) the excessive abundance of pillows provided, and (2) taking a luxuriant bath. Rooms at the Aloft hotel do not have bathtubs. At first, I thought I misunderstood the woman at the front desk... surely she just meant that no rooms with tubs were AVAILABLE... but apparently they simply do not exist here... The hotel is probably more deserving of 4 stars, but I had really sore muscles coming off the plane and was really looking forward to a hot bath. Had to drop an additional star because the disappointment about the bathtub still stings. Things that I did like: 1. They have a gym and pool. Neither are large, but both are adequately sized, especially if there are very few people present (and during my stay, it never got crowded). I like that they provide earbuds, hand towels, wet wipes, and squishy rubber ball weights. 2. They have free airport shuttle service. If you call, they will straight up send a driver on request. 3. Free coffee in the lobby (don't expect greatness, but it's decently strong and caffeinated). 4. Less waste. This might be related to why they don't have bathtubs. They don't stock the room with tiny disposable bottles (only a small tube of lotion, which I actually used up in a night). 5. My room had a mini fridge. No breakfast included in the room price, but it's available for purchase and is made to order. In terms of the surrounding area, it's convenient if you need to be accessible to the airport (ideal for travelers with a quick overnight layover and just want to sleep and not take a bath). Okay, in all fairness, the standing shower and the water pressure was pretty great. But if you want good food options, or fun things to explore, there's not really anything within walking distance. There is a McDonald's right in front by the parking lot though, and several hotels around, so you can check out the restaurants in there. They also have a restaurant at the Aloft but I never ate there. read more
