we were disappointed in our stay at the Comfort Inn. Starting with no curtains at the window. So we were awake at 5 AM. There was someone hair all over the bathtub. It had not been cleaned. The stopper in the sink was broken. refrigerator was dirty. The communal microwave on the first floor looked like it came from a college dorm room. We were one of the first to get to the breakfast area and there was no syrup there was no juice. The milk was room temperature. was a nightmare. There was one person working the desk and 30 people in line. Not her fault just bad staffing. The food truck area and back of the hotel was filthy. Trash cans, overflowing trash everywhere filthy tables. I also found dark hair on the blanket that was not ours. Overall housekeeping needs to do a better job. read more

We arrived at 5, we were eventually given a room that was already occupied and then had to wait until after 6:00 pm to get a room. It seems as if the place is very understaffed. The public areas were dirty, the landscaping is neglected, the breakfast area was dirty and the help failed to wash her hands after refilling juice machine, mopping the floor and wiping tables. The whole checkin process was chaotic with only one man trying to handle everything including a bus load of people who arrived after us. I would like a partial refund. Checked in 2hours early, quick and easy. Amenities fine: hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave. The big complaint is that the wall to the adjoining room seemed to be made of paper. The adjoining door is pretty light as well. We could hear our neighbor talking on the phone at 9pm as well as the person she was talking to on speaker. The party next door started a couple hours later. Impossible for us to sleep. We called down to the front desk around midnight. They called the neighbor and it got quieter for a bit...until more people arrived. We finally got to sleep about 4:30am. Complained again in the morning (afternoon actually by the time we woke up), and they said they would address it. Asked to change rooms but none available. Second night it was quiet UNTIL 2am when they came back to their room. We called down once at 3 and the noise stopped. If this is how Comfort Inn builds their properties, I can say with surety that I won't be staying in one again, ever. read more

Nice Rooms. Great Location to walk to park and Niagara Falls. Bedrooms were nice and clean, nothing fancy. Places close early here. We walked to the Casino and walked around the Niagara park. We even walked to Niagara in Canada. Which is $1.00 to come back to USA. You need your passport and birth certificate if taking a child. Canada side was neat. A lot to do and very close once you pass over. Walking back to hotel was not bad. Just be careful not to run into a skunk. read more

Not so clean. Flipped the nicely folded, unlaid in bedding and there was not one, but two hairs. We were also chasing around and shooing a fly that kept landing on our faces all night. The towels had a weird smell to them, not like a fresh clean smell. Also, we booked this hotel specifically for the pool, and the lady at the desk said there is no pool. So be careful when booking. Avoid this hotel! Not because it is poorly run, not very clean, and an has unhelpful incompetent staff, which are all true, but because they over charged me and will not correct it. Check-in was painfully long. Staff could not operate the computer and had trouble with every aspect of checking me in. The negative room condition comments I read here are all true. Room was very run down (as was the whole hotel), and bathroom was filthy. At check-in they said they were charging me a $75 deposit that would be credited at check-out. Parking was free. However, when I received my credit card statement, I was charged $75 twice with only one $75 credit! I also had a $10 charge for parking. I called the hotel and the front desk staff said they could not help me, and I needed to speak to the general manager. I emailed my receipt and credit card statement to the manager but no response. I called numerous times to talk with the manager, but she was never available, and never returned my calls. I called Choice Hotels to ask for help and they were absolutely useless. I am working with the bank to get this duplicate charge reversed but it hasn't been resolved/corrected yet. It has been a gigantic hassle. Again, stay away from this hotel even if you have to pay more and are farther away from the falls. read more

Well, we needed a place to rest our heads after a 9 hour drive and we also thought we'd see Niagara Falls for the first time in our lives and so, we picked this place because the location. And it is, all about location, being right on the park. The place was clean and super quiet and staff was great and we really felt safe considering Covid. Overall it was a great pic. The price was right as well. Just some perspective on Niagara Falls, the place surrounding the area is pretty tacky and rather run down and drab and actually kind of depressing. The park itself was pretty crowded but in a safe manner and everybody was distancing and everyone had masks on. The falls are pretty cool. read more

Very good hotel for the price and location. But the management is horrible. A lady at the front desk was very rude to us. She does not understand how to talk to customers. When you expect something from a customer, you don't say "you are not supposed to do this", you are supposed to say "can you please do this". She is in the customer service business for god's sake. I stayed here in July,2002 post Covid. Hand sanitizers are placed at the entrance and masks are mandatory which is good. Breakfast is available for pick up but it isn't great. They only provide 2 different types of cupcakes, coffee, yogurt, 2 types of canned juice and yogurt and nothing else. For the price the rooms are very clean and the location is ideal for people visiting Niagara Falls. I wouldn't mind going back again but I hope that the management trains their employees (the front desk) on how to talk to their customers. read more

I've been to many hotels for business and pleasure. This hotel is by far one of the worst I've been to. I can safely say that this hotel is in the worst top three I've been in. I gave 1 star for overall because some of the subcomponents with 1 star (such as price, nearby etc) actually ranked in the negative. Room/Facility: Room was simply awful. When I walked in, it had that damp cloth smell that I couldn't get rid of no matter how long I run the AC nor open the windows for an extended period of time. Bathroom had cracks and molds in the tub. Bathroom was also small and felt cramp because the way the door swung in. Because of the smells, the bathroom, and the general condition of the room, it just felt the whole room and the entire hotel felt dirty and dilapidated. While trying to sleep, I kept checking under the sheet each time my foot felt something from the blanket. It was a long night for me. Price: I booked the room off season for $190. At that price, I should have gotten much nicer room at elsewhere. There is a Hyatt next door with modern looking building, with restaurants on the lobby. I soley regretted not booking there thinking I'll save some bucks. Neatby: This IS the MAJOR sticking point. Areas around the hotel is sooo ghetto. There is no major national brand franchise eatery other than HardRock Cafes. There are mom and pop small eatery places but I didn't try them. And I didn't want to. There's not even a McDonald's nearby. A block or two from the hotel, it goes from ghetto to demilitarized zones. Just about every businesses have closed down, and there were so many houses with boarded up windows dotting the landscape, it was a bit unreal. I had no idea that the US side of the Niagara Falls was this bad. I have seen many travel youtubers always advising people to go to the Canadian side but never fully tell you why. Well, now I know why. And you'll know why when you get here. On Google Map, the hotel is right next to the US side of the Niagara Falls, and many people, including myself, booked for that reason. Trust me though; you'll regret that decision like I did. Staff Friendliness: I gave 2.5 because the receptionist woman was nice enough to explain things to me and the old lady in front of me. Other than the receptiom girl, I had no interaction with any other staff and so I don't know how friendly or unfriendly they are. Bottom line: STAY AWAY. Don't be cheap by booking this hotel thinking you'll save bucks. If you can, don't stay on the US side of the Niagara Falls. But if you must stay on the US side, stay at Hyatt Plce next door (which looks nicer though I never stayed) or book nicer hotel in Buffalo. read more

The mattress is so worn out it didn't give any support and we couldn't sleep at night and gave us backache. The water in bath tub won't flow properly so it's well disgusting. You can actually get free tickets for the bus back and forth Niagara fall but they won't tell you unless you ask about it. read more

Our American Airlines flight was cancelled, and we are now rebooked for an arrival tomorrow. The hotel refused our cancellation, and refused to refund any portion of the pre-paid booking. Keeping one's money for no services rendered amounts to theft. Keep in mind - you get what you pay for - which is nothing good from this place! The front desk clown even hung up on the Choice Hotels customer relations person who was trying to help. When a place needs to steal money from a guest - its likely a reflection of what you might expect from the entire place. Stick with the Marriott/Hilton/Hyatt's of the world. Location. Location. Location. The Comfort Inn The Pointe is the closest hotel to the falls. There aren't rooms that over look the falls because you'll have to go to Canada for that but you have the closest walk from here to the 'Merica side. The parking lot is free and only for guests of the hotel. This is a nice touch as hotels in most major cities are charging 40.00 per night to park(I just spent 50 per night in Philly for this a few days prior). The front service desk was extremely helpful with maps and recommendations. The rooms were clean and there is a gift shop on the premises as well. The breakfast buffet was also free but it wasn't the greatest but again free. I'd definitely say here again if I was in Niagara Falls. read more

Most all of the "good" reviews on here are pre-pandemic. Which is ironic because the filthiness of this hotel ironically resembles a Wuhan, China wet market circa December 2019. Bathroom was gross, bed sheets had not been changed since the last guest had stayed there (but bed was made up to look like it had been changed. Floors dirty both in the rooms and in common areas (food spilled on the floor of the breakfast room that staff just ignored). Very close to the falls, you can walk from the hotel to the falls. If does have connecting doors. Perfect if you are staying with big groups or family, then that may be helpful. Great hotel with an even greater location. From our room window you could see the falls. This is the closest hotel on the American side to the falls. Also closest to the state park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They also served breakfast each morning on the lower level. The area for breakfast was large and had additional seating for when it got busy. The standard breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and make your own waffles. Many juices and of course coffee. Had fruit which we took a few pieces for the days travels. The room was comfortable and large. Very clean and good pillows. Good security at night. Very easy to walk over to Canada side from this hotel. Incredible fireworks & light show at night. This is the only place to stay if visiting the falls. read more

If you want to stay in a dirty hotel, and pay for parking where your vehicle isn't safe, then this is the place for you. Room was disgusting, but we had already drove 9 hours and no other hotels were available. And by the time you're able to check in, housekeeping is already gone for the day. Also our vehicle was broken into on the premise during our stay, where we couldn't even view cameras and called the police and that was no use because their response was "this happens every night over here". We will not be back, and definitely not for the money spent during our stay. read more

We booked this hotel because of the location, the price, and the included breakfast. The trade off is no pool, and no guest laundry. Also, had I known that there is a fireworks show by the American Falls every night at 10 pm, I might have paid more for the 'River' view room. I don't have any complaints, but it was odd that they didn't have our two rooms ready when we arrived at 5 pm, two hours after check out time. And even though I'm sure they did their best to keep up with the constant flow of tourists, the carpets needed some deeper cleaning. The location doesn't get any better than this, though. You can go out the back entrance, past a couple of enticing street vendors, and you are in the State Park. read more

This place is the best location to the center and closest walking distance to the falls now with that being said the rooms are extremely outdated my mini fridge was sitting directly on the floor and when I say mini fridge I mean a small dorm room fridge the sheets looked cleaned but the pillows had hair all over them so they went on the floor for the remainder of the night the shower was ok accept there are clearly plumbing issues we did have all the towels we needed for the 8 hours we stayed in the room our air conditioner made a god awful sound all night and it was to hot when shit off not to run it the best part was walking out of the hotel directly to all the food vendors and gift shops on the street the staff where very nice and the breakfast was what you would expect but it was included I wasn't to happy about having to pay an additional 10 dollars on top of the 340 I paid for a double Queen room but what can you do ! I highly suggest signing up and doing the tour that they offer it was five hours but our tour guide was wonder picked us right up at the lobby dropped us off and hit all the major spots o can say the hotel was quiet but then again we didn't get to sleep till after 11 they set fireworks off every night as well :) also the further away from our hotel we got walking the more rowdy it was I would definite say it is more kid friendly just do to location read more

This was a great hotel and not just because of what the inside looked like, but because of the location. We were at least within 5 minutes of everything for walking distance. And the hotel was nice. Staff was very friendly and the room was very nice. We had a handicapped room and it was very spacious. The bathroom was also pretty big as well. This place was booked to every last room because of the perfect location. If I come back to Niagara Falls, then I would love to be back at this hotel. read more

So... this is pretty much your average budget hotel, in every way except the most important one. I had no particular complaints about anything - it was your average hotel bed, your average hotel bathroom, your average hotel breakfast of cheap eggs, cheap sausage, cheap pastries, etc. Wifi worked well enough, it was perfectly clean, there really isn't much to say about it one way or the other, except for the fact that, seriously, it's *right* on the falls. There's no view of the falls from the rooms, sadly (the state park is in between, and full of trees, and it's not very tall), but you walk out of the hotel, through the parking lot, and bam, giant freaking waterfall right there. Thus, if you want to visit Niagara Falls overnight without spending a ton of money, there really isn't any better place to stay, location-wise. read more

This is the closest hotel to the Niagara Falls, literally a short walk (just follow the sound of the falls). Our room and bed was very comfortable and amenities all, were nearby. Food court, TGI Fridays, Hard Rock Cafe all, just a short walk from the Hotel. I think this was the best time of year to come see the falls as it was brisk, chilly and not overly crowded. We were able to get beautiful autumn colors along with breath taking views without being in the way of other tourists. read more

This is a very simple hotel- nothing fancy-but clean, comfortable rooms, free breakfast and oh yes- walking distance to the Falls (which is a huge plus). The staff is also extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating- giving us tips on where to get a bite to eat, and a drink :) and even let us leave our car parked in the lot after we checked out so that we could get some lunch before we drove to the airport. I mean I cannot say enough about the staff here- very nice- wonderful customer service. I would recommend this hotel for families and anyone who wants to spend a day near the Falls. read more

I just stayed here recently for the Labor Day weekend. This was my first time visiting the falls so I was behind excited. I would give this hotel 5 stars just for it's location. It's smack in the middle of the falls. Walking distance to everything. However the hotel itself charged 250 for a night when it really was worth about 100. I understand it's a busy weekend and great location, but the hotel looked outdated and dirty. Beds were not comfy, rug was stained, and there was popcorn Ceilings. For continental breakfast they had oatmeal With no microwave or Hott water to make it, a couple oranges, toast, and some cereal. Not bad, but I guess I'm spoiled with hotels. Would I return? Great location. Free parking. Staff is very friendly and allow us to check out at noon. It is very close to the waterfall (5 minutes walking to American Falls). It is convenient to walk back and change clothes if you got wet from Maid of the Mist or Cave of the Winds; and you can easily walk to see the fireworks at night without worrying about parking. read more

I would extremely highly recommend Comfort Inn The Pointe if you're visiting Niagara Falls. You can walk out the back door right into Niagara Reservation State Park and see the falls. Also, if you have your passport you can walk across the Rainbow Bridge into Canada, which is so close you can see the entrance from the hotel. You will be glad you chose this hotel. Trust me. The convenience of being able to walk out your hotel room to you destination is unmatched. Especially when you want to rest a bit or drop off some shopping you've done. You can not book a hotel closer to the Falls. Within minutes walk of all of the attractions and the Rainbow Bridge to Canada. Good hot breakfast buffet (waffles-yeah!). Friendly staff. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Clean. Small rooms- minimal amenities. If you're looking for a hotel with a pool and a spa- this isn't it. If you are looking for a clean place to sleep in the center of the Falls area- this is your spot. read more

We checked out before we even checked in. Got our room keys, unloaded our luggage, and the rooms smelled horrible and AC did not work. We booked last minute so most other hotels were fully booked. We finally got rooms at Holiday Inn which was clean, and pretty good hotel. Most hotels in Niagara seemed like they didn't need to keep things up to date or nice because tourists will come for the falls either way. Rooms are pricey for what you get. Do not stay here though unless you can get a more renovated room on the 6th floor. read more
