The team at Aloha Arbor Care is amazing. It's disappointing to see negative reviews, but it seems people that are upset are more inclined to leave a review than those that are truly satisfied. I know that their estimator knows tropical and rare plants extremely well and has years of experience learning what unique plants work in Hawai'i and the many micro-climates around O'ahu- and those that don't. He has a very artistic vision, and can create something you've never seen before. The owner knows his stuff as well, and even comes to the site to personally ensure the job is a viable project for his team. The Vice President goes above and beyond to make sure the HOA is happy and that there are no causes for complaints each and every time a project is completed. Just had them come out to our house for the annual tree trimming which they have been doing for a number of years now. They arrived on time and trimmed the four trees cleaning up the area after them. The crew was very responsible and efficient making short work of the job, I will continue to use this company and recommend it to anyone requiring tree trimming service's. I needed three trees removed from my new yard and remembered the great work that Aloha Arbor Care did for me (removed 3 large palm trees) 5 years ago at my condo. Well, the work they did yesterday was just as great, if not better. The guys were so friendly and I was amazed at how efficient they work. I was a little worried because one palm tree was very close to my roof line and the overhead wires. They took it down so easily. They cleaned up all the debris afterwards and used the blower to get the dust off my front porch. This morning I noticed that they also had removed most of the mud from my driveway and had cleared all my front yard stepping stones of the gravel that had accumulated there. Also, Jay, the vice-president, kept me informed when there was a delay. He also responded immediately to all my emails. We had a large avocado tree (30-40 ft. tall) in the corner of our back yard that had overhang in 3 of our neighbors' yards. After an initial visit and quote, the Aloha Arbor Care completed the seemingly tough job with ease. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and safe; completed the job in about 2 hours and raked/cleaned up all the old fallen leaves and branches. Mature tree fell on yard fence and was possibly going to hit the house as fence was cracking. Even though it was a Sunday night, An Arborist amd crew came out within an hour and cut up and removed the tree. It was dark so they came back the next day to stump grind the stump and haul away the materials. Response and service was so fast for their emergency fallen tree service. Highly recommend! read more

Terrible company. After paying a deposit--which they immediately deposited--and waiting several days for them to contact us, we had to call them to schedule the service. Found out it's a two-month wait, very disappointing. Called to confirm this week's appointment (which I shouldn't have to do) and they gave me a different date *next week.* Cannot believe they are still in business. This company is truly unprofessional. The last reviewer, J.S., was correct: Don't give them your business and your money. We, unfortunately, had a contract with them. They never honored it. We had to CONSTANTLY call them to schedule, and would get grief about it. They would not honor the 3-year contract because "PRICES WENT UP" since we signed with them. Ugh...DUH!!!! That's what happens after time!!! Welcome to business and inflation, idiots!!! They are a very unclassy company - from the owner down to the schedulers. Their lack of communication is horrendous (the right hand doesn't know what the heck the left hand is doing!)!!! Getting emails from one person and then another about the same topic -- but the information was always different -- led to conflicting and confusing emails. They are such a joke operation. Not once but twice my wife and I took off half-a-day to have them come out and gives us a quote and both times (after canceling on my wife) & then rescheduling w/ me, only to call and cancel at the last minute as well, I asked the dispatcher if they could come out on a Saturday since my wife and I had burned vacation time... She, the dispatcher, said sure and would have their estimator call us to come out on a Saturday - NEVER CALLED in my book that's called HORRIBLE customer service - STAY AWAY from this company and consider Tropical Tree Services or Sherwood's instead!!! read more

2 years ago they were great. This year, I called, several times and finally got the guy (J?) to come out. He said he would send a quote the next day but it was over a 1 week later. I called and emailed several times to get the work started, but no one has contacted me for over a month. Starting from scratch again. What a waste of time! read more

I've used Aloha Arbor Care twice this year to remove unwanted trees on my property, ranging from a few 20 - 30 ft. nuisance trees to a very tall coconut tree covered in vines. Their estimator, Jay (?), was punctual and friendly both times. The rates he quoted were very competitive. When it came time for the tree removal, the crews were prompt and hard-working, getting the job done quickly. I was perfectly satisfied with both jobs... but to Aloha Arbor Care's credit, Jay followed up on one job and was personally unsatisfied with the cleanup job his crew had done, so he had them come back out to tidy up more. I appreciate the attention to detail! I can't speak to their skill in tree trimming or stump grinding, but I'll definitely call them again in the future for tree removal. read more

During the recent hellacious windstorm we had several BIG trees knocked down & 1 came to rest on our house. It was balanced on a cross beam so we needed competent help quickly. It was a holiday weekend so we left a message & The arborist came out the next morning. After sizing up the situation & discussing alternatives & cost, had a crew of 5 & their equipment on site in an hour & a half. They were professional, hard-working, showed respect for us, our property, our neighbors & our animals. It took 2 days of very technical, difficult work to cut & lower the more than 100ft. tree without further damaging our house & they did it (!), explaining as they went & even checking with us regarding disposal options. It was impressive to watch & I now understand why the work is so dangerous & tricky. They demonstrated great skills & excellent work ethic! We plan to ask for their services in the future. read more
