Very disappointed in the customer service we received in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. We decided to rent items (seating/lawn games/backdrops) from Aloha Artisans for our destination wedding in Ko Olina. Unfortunately our dream wedding had to be cancelled due to the COVID19 crisis, which was heartbreaking. We were lucky that so many of our vendors were sweet and understanding during these unprecedented times and we were able to get back many of our deposits. Unfortunately, Aloha Artisans was not one of those understanding vendors. They refused to refund our money even though we cancelled many weeks in advance. The situation is out of our control, yet this company kept our money despite not having to provide any services. Expected more compassion given these challenging times. Customers be warned, hopefully a pandemic won't ruin your next event, but I still wouldn't risk renting from these guys. Our daughter got married on Oahu in April 2024. Worked with Aloha Artisans for a destination wedding - we are from Alaska. What made this a bit more of a challenge is that we asked them to provide a lighting quote for a pavilion at a venue they were not able to visit prior because it was located on Hickam AFB. They provided a timely quote based on our specs. The total cost was very reasonable for the work they had to do. They were so accommodating for our timeline. They were at the venue early and arrived for pickup as scheduled. From beginning to end, everything was handled smoothly and professionally by AA. Absolutely LOVED working with them! I truly appreciate their patience, kindness, and willingness to make our wedding day as beautiful as possible, despite the circumstances. A week before my wedding date, the mayor changed the outdoor wedding guest count from 10 to 100. We were honestly looking forward to working with this company. Their decor and items seemed amazing, and customer service was great at the beginning. We had our wedding planned for August and due to the global pandemic we were forced to cancel due to the travel ban and 14-day quarantine. We understand everyone was hit hard due to COVID as well as businesses. But when I reached out to see if they were able to work with us for a refund or partial refund for the deposit, they refused especially considering how pricy it was. All of our other local vendors were more than happy to work with us during these unprecedented times, regardless of what the contract stated because no one planned for this to happen and also understood the difficulties everyone was facing. Ordering a custom arch, rattan peacock chair, and hair pin table was such a great addition to our wedding! Two words: Custom arch. Okay third word: STUNNNINGGG!! I can't even with this arch. Holy moly. We had a gold circular arch with steps that was unbelievably beautiful. I wanted something that made a statement but accentuated the views of the ceremony and this did it. Not only did it appear amazing in person but my gosh, the pictures with the arch paired with the view was breathtaking. One way to make a statement for the bride and groom is to rent this set up!! The chairs were so beautiful and went so well with the themes and colors of our wedding and sitting in them made us feel so special! Not only did everyone know just who was getting married but you absolutely knew who those chairs were. Great addition for professional photos as well! We got to use these chairs all throughout the reception( which we kept moving at different areas of our venue) and they brought the chairs to each spot!! When I found Aloha Artisans during our wedding planning process, I came to them with an idea that I wasn't sure if anyone on the island could do for us. Due to COVID-19, we had to adjust and be creative with the times we live in now. We still wanted to have our wedding but still keep our friends & families safe. So we decided to have a drive-through wedding reception and a Zoom ceremony. But for the drive-through, I imagined having this beautiful "string light tunnel" just surrounding our guests' cars as they drove up to see us and around the port cochere area. (FYI - that's A LOT of string lights haha). I wasn't sure if it was possible but when I told Tawni, Jeff, and Holly about my idea, they were SO EXCITED and more than willing to take on this challenge. The light tunnel turned out BEAUTIFUL and everyone loved it! It totally went above & beyond our expectations too! (It looked even better at night when it was dark and we had our first dance) They were extremely helpful, friendly, flexible, and creative! We are so grateful for the beautiful decor they put together for us and all the correspondence back & forth when we had to postpone several times and relocate to a new venue. They also custom made large 7 foot "ALOHA" letters for us to set up outside that had lush green moss on them that totally fit our theme. We rented their blush tufted chairs and wooden circle arch as well, which looked gorgeous and tied everything together. Growing up in Hawaii we often have a saying, "Dont mistake aloha for weakness." I am very disappointed in this company and am sad to say they have no ALOHA. Through no choice of our own were we forced to cancel our wedding as the state of Hawaii mandated a shut down and mandatory 14 day quarantine for traveling visitors. Based on the circumstances you would think that Aloha Artisans would be willing to work with us through these hard times. Unfortunately they refused to offer any sort of refund and has stopped returning our emails. We found Aloha Artisans a little late into our wedding planning, so a lot of items that we would have loved to have rented were no longer in our budget, but the items we did rent were amazing! Tawni and Jeff were very prompt when responding to our emails about their inventory, and made the process super easy. We rented 2 peacock chairs for the sweetheart table, corn hole and jenga for our guests and the aloha bar. Everything was perfect! Their inventory was clean, like new and true to pictures! We first got into contact with Aloha Artisans last year when we started planning our wedding for June 2020. We booked our order and put in a deposit of 50% to reserve our date. Unfortunately with the corona virus pandemic around the world, we were FORCED to cancel our wedding. As many of you know, California is on a 30 day lock down and the governor of Hawaii has asked for no visitors or vacations to try to contain this virus. We had to cancel our wedding at Kualoa Ranch because one of their employees had corona virus confirmed. Trying to work with Aloha Artisans during this cancelation process has been a nightmare. The owner that I have been emailing (they never disclosed their name at the end of the email so I am unsure who I am talking to) has been passive aggressive during the emails and states that we cannot get our deposit back. I can understand for most circumstances, a deposit is nonrefundable, per the contract. Unfortunately, this worldwide epidemic has affected us in such a devastating way, that we are forced for our wedding to be canceled. We have no control over the cancelation of our wedding, and Aloha Artisans will not work us with during this cancelation process. The corona virus is still in full effect and who knows what the future holds. They stated they will take my deposit and hold it for a different date for up to 2 years, but not understand that we do not have this time to wait. My grandma is the most precious soul and she has stage 4 lung cancer. I needed this wedding to happen in June, because the prognosis does not look well. There is no option for me to postpone the wedding to another date. I will have to get married in June for my grandma to be apart of this special moment for me. Aloha Artisans has robbed us of our money and has been very rude during this whole process. For a company to have such bad customer service during this process, which is completely out of our control, is so ridiculous. When booking your wedding, you will never anticipate for things like this to happen but if it does, just know what kind of people you are going to be working with, selfish and greedy business owners. read more

My husband and I had furniture from Aloha Artisans for our wedding in June 2022. Although the furniture were very pretty, we had an unpleasant experience leading up to the wedding. We had decided on our rentals a few months in advance, which included wedding arch, chairs, and a rug. We happened to be checking their website a few weeks before our wedding when we realized that the arch that we had ordered and had already paid for was not available on the website. After reaching out to Aloha Artisans to ensure it was still available, we found out that the arch was no longer available in the original color we ordered. This threw us off because we had planned other things such as floral design based on the color scheme of the original arch. We had no choice, so we decided to settle for a different arch and chairs that would match our color scheme. These alternative alter and chairs were more expensive and Aloha Artisans made us pay the difference. I think they should have just given us the new ones without charging for the extra fee, because it was on their part we had to make change of plans. Their overall communication was a little slow too. I wonder what would have happened if we didn't realize that their original arch was gone--they probably would have shown up on the day of with a wrong colored arch. Overall, I'd say that they have very nice furniture inventory, but the service quality is questionable. read more

When I arrived in Honolulu I tried to contact them to set up a meeting and never got a response. I talked to my wedding coordinator and she told me they have been doing this to all their clients. Keeping customers money and not providing the services they promised. I looked at their Yelp page and sure enough they have done it to many other customers. I hired another company 2 days before and they did an amazing job. I would never use this company and they should refund the money they stole from so many brides. I rented the rattan lounge set, peacock chairs, and hairpin table for our sweetheart table from Aloha Artisans for my outdoor wedding on the North Shore. When I first reached out to Aloha Artisans in October 2020, there was still so much uncertainty over whether we could even have a wedding in the spring. Tawnee, Jeff, and Holly were so understanding and agreed to put my rentals "on hold" until we knew more about what rules would be in effect closer to the date. Luckily, with a last-minute change in the government's orders, we were able to have our dream wedding, with the outdoor furniture we placed on hold from Aloha Artisans. We had a maternity photo session at Aloha Artisans' Studio, with their in-house photographer Holly. The studio is seriously the greatest thing ever - took a minute to take it all in. The furniture and decor selection is huge. I was super hesitant to do maternity photos, because I was worried they would come out generic and I really didn't want "just another beach photo shooting". Therefore, I was determined to do something different, something I would treasure for years to come. Tawni, Holly & Jeff really took the time to understand what I was looking for, and specifically what I liked about each inspiration photo. On the day of our photo shooting the whole team was right on time and very organized. Holly gave great directions, she made my husband and I feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She took her time getting looks, lighting and background just right.
