    Definitely recommend Tropical Moon Events! Dania was so helpful with getting our reception planned in such short notice. Very satisfied with the end results. Would definitely hire her again if my wife and i get married again.

    My Tiki bar!

    I chose Dania and her team as my wedding planners based on reviews. I can happily say they did a stellar job and made my wedding everything I hoped for and even better! The first time I spoke with Dania on the phone I had a great feeling about her. I had my wedding at the Plantation Estate in Kaaawa. Dania hadn't been to the location before so she drove out across the island on two separate occasions to photograph and take measurements so she could do detailed layouts and diagrams of how the ceremony would be set up. I chose a whimsical vintage tiki theme for the decor and inspiration. She turned our pool house pavilion into a true tiki bar! She even brought puffer fish, glass floats, and fish netted the whole ceiling to mimic a vintage tiki bar. I didn't use her bar service because I made my own drinks( I'm a bartender) but she rented me some really great tables with tiki faces and a tiki bar and glassware to match my theme. She even saved me money by making the bar herself using bamboo fencing instead of renting from another company. A huge shout out to her assistant Tasha for saving the day! My cake vendor wouldn't deliver on my day because they already had to many deliveries that day so she drove to Honolulu to pick it up for me. On top of that I messed up super bad and miss measured my tablecloths leaving half my tables exposed so she also went to the fabric store to buy new ones. She and the other assistant also helped tremendously with staying after and cleaning up. I was hesitant at first to spend so much money but I'm really glad I did. It was so worth it. I had never been to Hawaii so I really needed someone who could help me from the Island. Thank you Tropical Moon Events!

    Paliku Gardens

    This is way over due review I was married at kualoa ranch in June 2019. We interviewed so many planners and decided to pick Dania. Everyone on the island (most of our vendors) already knew Dania so it helped so much with communication between everyone. I'm from California and Dania took the time to visit my wedding site Kualoa with me for the tour. Through out planning Dania answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable. When it came closer to the wedding my planning was turned over to Tasha. Tasha did a great job at finding a fire knife dancer for me last minute when my family member was unable to make it to the wedding. On the wedding day everything went pretty smooth. After, Dania was very accommodating by letting us donate some of our wedding supplies to her so that we didn't have to lug a bunch of stuff around with us on our honeymoon which was super helpful. I would recommend Tropical moon but I would definitely keep in mind that this is a team of planners so you may be working with more than one person at a time. I would highly highly recommend the Star Bar and Kristen was our bartender she had my drinks ready in seconds when I walked up to the bar lol! Lilikoi Mojito is seriously bomb.

We chose the "maid of honor for hire" package, and let me tell you: WORTH EVERY PENNY! We booked LLW in January 2024 for our June 2025 wedding, and from day one, Louise led the way. Our initial meeting was incredibly thorough, with a planning timeline and actionable next steps. From there, we met over Zoom throughout the year and collaborated asynchronously in between. What truly surprised us was how personally involved Louise remained. As LLW's owner, we assumed Louise might eventually pass things off--but nope. She joined every Zoom meeting, answered every email, and showed up in ways we didn't expect but fully appreciated. The "maid of honor for hire" package places design decisions in the couple's hands which can feel daunting, but we never felt alone. Our vision shifted dozens of times. We started with white and green florals, a neutral palette, and no wedding party. But thanks to LLW's encouragement and calm expertise, we embraced a totally different vibe: multicolored pastel florals, 20 mix-and-match-clad wedding party members, and a deeply personal celebration. I honestly never imagined arriving at the wedding we had--and I'm so glad we did. We also hired LLW for our florals, which were beyond anything we could've dreamed. Pinterest didn't quite capture our taste, so we pieced together inspiration boards--and Louise and her team translated it flawlessly. They gave us mockups for every arrangement, which eased our nerves, and the final result was pure magic. We were anxious about leaning into color, but LLW reassured us every step of the way. The florals felt like art. Through every change in mood board, guest list, and timeline, LLW never made us feel like we were "too much." Kayla helped me into my dress, styled my veil, bustled my dress with care, and adjusted every detail throughout the day for photos. At the end of the night, Louise had our family member's car packed with everything we needed. She handed out vendor tips. A team member passed out spam musubis and waters to guests boarding the shuttle. It was seamless. We went straight to our karaoke afterparty without a single concern in mind. So if you want a wedding that feels authentically yours, LLW is the team. They don't replicate Pinterest trends--they listen and build a celebration that reflects you. We had so many friends tell us it was the most beautiful and breathtaking wedding they'd ever attended--that it felt like *us* in every detail, and that it was an unforgettable experience for everyone we love. The biggest issue on our wedding day was some passing rain around the time of the ceremony, but Mona came up with some scheduling pivots on site that helped us find a good solution and everything went off PERFECTLY. Wedding planning is not for the faint of heart but anyone can do it with Mona's help. Full service planning with her team was the way to go! The day of the wedding had so many moving parts, an outdoor wedding on a beautiful estate, with 150 in attendance, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, entrance, dance, entertainment, bar, dessert display, coordination of photos and seating it was seamless due to Mona and her team. Mona is always one step ahead with every detail. So many friends and family commented on how beautiful and organized the entire wedding was. My son and daughter-in-law focused on their vows and a beautiful evening with their closest friends and family. All details were taken care of by Mona. NEU Events came highly recommended and I understand why. I was in awe of the level of experience, expertise, and excellence I watched unfold. I wasn't going to hire a planner at the risk of spending so much on something I thought I could manage on my own (with some help of the fiancé, of course). I met Teri and Pura at the Wedding Expo at the Convention Center. To be honest, it was because I loved their décor display. After some much needed advice and budget reworking, I decided to splurge some of the wedding cost on a day-of planner and was excited for a consultation with Teri. She was extremely friendly and not the least bit intimidating for someone who has so much on their plate. Teri got back to me immediately with scheduling my consultation, and would reply to my emails within 24-72 hours (which is impressive if you can understand how I was a last minute addition to her extremely busy wedding season schedule!) She was amazing as far as managing my expectations within my budget. Even though I brought a mess of ideas and pre-purchased wedding details like my expensive venue, Teri was extremely cognizant of my budget at all times. She gave me great advice when it came to necessities and "risk versus reward" type details. It sounds silly when deciding what size flowers to use or using a Bluetooth speaker and playlist, but it's a huge deal when someone can save you $500+ just by substituting with simple, yet money saving options! Along with Teri, I have to give a huge commendation to her daughter, Dannah! She was pregnant, busy with her husband shipping out, and a full schedule of June weddings...she managed to do a site visit, organize the small pockets of chaos during my wedding, AND she even did the set up, SERVING OF FOOD, and take down! Honestly, Teri and Dannah were an awesome team and they were above and beyond my expectations. In lieu of describing every detail of my wedding, I can simply put it that Teri and Dannah are extremely efficient at managing their time from busy schedules, to their personal lives and their clients. They worked hard to meet their client's expectations and stayed strict to the "guidelines" they established from the beginning. I highly recommend Julian and Coco for their planning services, and both Teri and Dannah for their work ethic and genuine interest in helping people enjoy a happy and memorable experience.

    *****DO NOT HIRE*****…read more Pura Stephens can talk you up on your consultation call...and that's where it ends. After our talk on the phone, I thought that she was perfect! She agreed to a payment plan of 5 individual payments and since my mother had offered to pay for a coordinator, we made our first payment. Then the silence started. Pura was supposed to have called me the following week to talk over the details, vision, etc. This call didn't take place for a month and only after I told her we wouldn't be making our 2nd payment until she returned our multiple calls. She did return my call and was pleasant and apologetic. Then she didn't call again till the 3rd payment was due. At this time I expressed my frustration and explicitly wrote what I wanted to go over in an email. At this point, we started bi-weekly phone calls...this lasted for 1 call. She didn't call me for our scheduled bi-weekly followup and didn't return emails or calls for a few weeks. When she finally did, she said it was because of a family emergency/ a family member had died. I said I was sorry for her lose, but she should have sent a mass email out to her brides. Again, we had bi-weekly calls. I emailed her questions that I had for vendors and she would forward it to them with the words "See below". The last straw was I had multiple questions in regards to party rentals, it was at least 6 questions. She emailed the vendor and in three short 5 word phrases made 3 changes and forwarded the email to me with the vendor's response. She completely ignored my questions to her and my request to ask the vendor their opinion. I emailed her per the contract - if I wanted to cancel the contract it had to be in writing and with more than 30 days notice. It states "refunds are limited to unearned fees, funds in excess of unused or non-refundable fees and out-of-pocket expenses". My mother - whom the refund needed to go to - contact Pura to setup how some of what we paid would be refunded. Pura proceeded to tell her that she would not refund until she talked to me and blamed the vendors for her lack of communication and progress. Since that call she has not answered my multiple phone calls, voicemails and emails. Only after I hired her did I find out this is her M.O. Apparently 5 phone calls and a few emails = $2000 with Julian and Coco Events. Do Not Hire this company! Stay away!
