So many disappointments with Aloha Behavioral Consultants: - when you call, during business hours, to schedule or discuss anything, frequently the phone just rings and rings, eventually goes to voicemail, then encourages you to leave a voicemail that they never respond to-ever. They have not responded to even one of my voicemails over the span of the year I went there. If you want to contact them, you have to keep calling every few hours. It would take me days to get anything scheduled. - they offer services that they do not follow through with other than all the appointments necessary to be approved- then, even though that form of treatment is fully covered by my insurance at any other mental health or counseling center-they need documentation from your previous mental health clinic on billing so they can try to understand how to bill for it. There was a necessary treatment I was approved for and desperately needed (and they were fully aware of how bad I was getting mentally and emotionally) yet every time I called to see if the issue had been resolved, I was told it would be another week or so, or they were waiting to "hear back" from somewhere. The billing documentation from my previous mental health provider was emailed to the address Aloha provided several times over the span of two months before Aloha "received it". The last place I went to emailed it the same day I requested it be sent-every time Aloha told me they hadn't received it. - basically they had me "hurry up and wait" for an entire year on something that should not have taken more than a day or two to resolve being fully aware of how rapidly and how badly my mental health continued to decline. As of today, they still have not provided the treatments they offered and I clearly needed. They claim to be mental health advocates and not only did they do absolutely nothing to help me, the hopeless frustration I developed over the span of the year I stayed there contributed significantly to my mental and emotional health declining further. Completely unacceptable. They do not care about how their clients are doing but they are all about making sure they get paid straightaway for services (including all the unnecessary appointments to be approved for treatment that I had already been approved for previously and my insurance covered fully). I have been in treatment consistently since my diagnosis at 13 years old (I am now 52) and throughout that span of time I can say that Aloha is the worst mental health treatment center I have ever scheduled with. read more

Not ideal for the typical addict in recovery. My husband and I have been on buprenorphine for over five years. We are currently tapering down on our own. We reached out and set up appointments to be seen here at their Ogden location and I received a message later to call regarding some questions they had and it turns out they don't prescribe Subutex. Suboxone contains an ingredient that is very irritant to the stomach and esophagus. My father passed away from esophageal cancer, and I also suffered from GERD and Crohn's. Taking regular Suboxone every day gave me nausea and it made me very ill. I was switched to subutex where I began to thrive in recovery. These people do not prescribe that medication and it's very discriminatory. My husband also has a very sensitive stomach, probably from the years of drug addiction and drug usage. It makes total sense to put a patient on the medication. They feel most comfortable these doctors want to dictate my recovery by not giving me the medication that makes me the most comfortable. if I were to go back on Suboxone, I would have to go up on a higher dosage and then I would also be miserable from nausea every single day. That's not the kind of place. I want to go for treatment. I want people involved in my treatment program that care about my every day quality of life. read more

After not being able to get my prescriptions filled month after month, I chose to transfer everything to my primary care provider. In retaliation Aloha has refused to transfer my medical records and prevented me from getting the medications I need. this place is HORRIBLE! the doctor will only fill your pills for to weeks and wants you to keep coming back. he was managing my blood pressure medication and there office does not even have a blood pressure machine!! DO NOT give them a card number!! they just charge it whenever they want to the never sent me a bill. I was told they would no longer charge it without giving me a statement and it keep happening I had to cancel my card! every single time I was there I had to sit and watch the doctor talk to a pharmaceutical representative while I was waiting for my appointment he would sit and talk to them eating cookies the brought! Friendly staff, harsh policies. I came here for a couple of sessions that were paid for by my employer as part of a health assessment deal. If I participated, I received a small discount on my insurance premiums, so sure... why not participate? The first session went fine. The second session ended up as less than half a session as the counselor had the person before me go long. For the third session, I was running a bit late and traffic was heavier than I had expected, but I didn't think anything of it as I had only half a session the time before. But, trying to be courteous, I called ahead and let the counselor know that I would be about 10 minutes late to the session. She decided to cancel the appointment and told me to reschedule, but did NOT tell me that I would eventually be charged for the session. This frustrated me quite a bit as I had demonstrated some supreme juggling skills with my schedule to even be able to make it to the appointments. So I decided to not reschedule, as I was irritated and done with the whole thing. Then, a few weeks later, I received a bill in the mail showing that they had charged my employer for two sessions and were billing me for the third since I had "missed" the appointment. When I called them and explained that I was on my way to the appointment and that the counselor had decided to cancel the appointment due to my running late, they refused to waive the charge stating that their policy prevented them from waiving the fee unless I had rescheduled an appointment within 24 hours. I understand that policies are there to protect the business as there are people who will abuse the system, but they should also allow for some leeway. Instead, they are using it as a means to make an additional profit off of their clients. read more

Less than 1 star. Worst place ever!!! I had scheduled an appt. with the front desk staff for my daughter to be seen, I go to the actual clinic and no one is there. I called the office #, they say... Ohh we must have forgot to tell you that this visit is a virtual visit. I didn't have a place to do a virtual visit. I was at the building in my car with my daughter, and she didn't want me to be involved in her appt. But they still charged me for the appointment. Then the next time I had an appt. with them, it took the front desk 25 minutes to sent the link the my daughters phone and get it set up. So she only had 25 minutes of therapy time. I told the therapist, due to wasting my time twice, I would not be paying the co-pay for the second appointment. She agreed, due to the frustration. Then I received a $25 bill for the co-pay. Shady business practices to say the least. What a shame to because I work for a pediatric office and we were at one time sending a lot of referrals to them. Destiny read more

My husband started seeing the Drs at aloha 9 months ago. He missed some appts due to work and forgot to call yes that was not ok, he called to see if he could reschedule and the secretary told him no, that he needed to find another dr. He was never told that this would happen if he missed an appt, and therefore he was unable to renew his prescriptions.! This was unexpected and he wasn't able to find another Dr. for about a month. The problem with this is the medicines my husband is on are meds that you just can't stop suddenly, he can have seizures, manic episodes, depression/suicidal a number of dangerous withdrawal symptoms. The negligence of this facility is inexcusable and he told them this and she did not care. I highly recommend another facility other than Aloha! read more

This place is an absolute nightmare to do business with. After calling them and setting up an appointment for my wife and I at the end of October, I called two times prior to our appointment to check and confirm our co-pay. The front desk staff let me know that my insurance wasn't active and that I could call them to check on it. Which is not true at all because we had a doctors appointment 30 minutes before we called to confirm our appointment for later that day. They told me there was no record of our appointment and that the text we got to confirm our appointment comes out automatically. So why would they send us a text if we weren't on the schedule? Makes no sense. This place could of called me before the day of to double check on the information for the insurance. We just canceled our appointment. No reason to go there when they tell you that you don't even have an appointment after scheduling it almost 2 months in advance. Do not go here. Not worth the stress and your time. Find someone who knows what they're talking about and how to run a professional office. read more

Sent my daughter there for over a year and a half. My daughter liked the people so never complained. She just got better at hiding her problems. Thank God she decided to tell me the truth about the theory she received at $200 a session. All they did was talk about the week in review. Much like a girlfriend would do. Never did they address the problem or find ways to deal with it. I would never recommend them unless you need to pay $200 a week for a girl friend. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They put me on suboxone too get off heroin and I ended up relapsing more than I ever have before because they can't seem too keep anything together, you get your meds once a week but you have too see your therapist too get them and they either cancel the appointments or dont show up and reschedule them 5 days later by that time you've already relapsed because you had no other choice. Their front desk talks over you and wont let you get a word in and then treats you like your crazy because it's hard not too get upset when someone who is supposedly the face of this place giving you wellbeing, completely dehumanizes you and treats you like shit. They harrassed me about getting paperwork because they wanted me too go through them too get a cannabis card (500$) and I couldn't afford it. I was starting too get suicidal and they kept fucking up my appointments and I wasnt able too see anyone and I called the front desk too tell them and they wouldnt let me even tell them what was happening before they kept saying my name passive aggressively and ended up calling the cops on me because I said I was suicidal and wanted too talk too my therapist, they instead of getting me what I am paying to get here, call the cops on me and lie saying I said I was going too kill myself multiple times. Overall the worst fucking therapy experience ever. So much for trying too have a better life, they just put me 10 steps back. read more
