Our dream wedding was made even more magical with Aloha Films. When we booked our venue at Kualoa Ranch, we knew that we wanted some special drone footage to capture the beauty of the park. Aloha Films went above and beyond, recording some of the most incredible scenery we could ask for. Charles was on time, efficient and one of the friendliest guys you could ever meet, making us all feel at ease. Charles is a good dude passionate about what he does and the customers that he serves. There is no doubt that he has the gear you need to get the job done right. From weddings to big time commercial shoots. His price is at the upper tier, but I've seen his work on numerous occasions, and another great example of getting what you pay for in a saturated market of videographers. read more

How can we sum up the outstanding service and true partnership we felt in working with Charles? From meeting at a wedding expo at Blaisdell Arena (Honolulu, HI) to conversations, both in-person and by phone, Charles always made us feel and know that he was "all-in." From hustling around Kualoa Ranch during our "Adventure" filming through rain to get the right shot, angle or vantage point, to sweating it out in the heat of Lahaina (Olowalu) on our wedding day- nothing slowed him down. Most importantly, on that special day when some things seemed chaotic, he made my wife comfortable and at ease. He put his heart into his work and everything he did for us. I'm disappointed that I spent $1500 on a highlight and ceremony video that had the most basic edits and filters. I had asked for some photos to be taken and got NOTHING! I know Charles through our church and mutual friends, but I feel like I've been ripped off. read more

I can't express enough how easy and exciting they made everything! From the charismatic personality that makes you feel comfortable from the start to the sheer professionalism that makes you feel confident that you hired them, these guys are a class act and I enjoyed having them at our wedding and capturing our once in a lifetime moment! Chris and I were looking for a great videographer. We had a pretty tight budget but knew just how important a great videographer would be. We honestly had no idea where to even begin finding one. We went to a bridal expo and saw so many vendors! Only ONE stood out to us as amazing and that was Charles. The moment that we met him, we knew he was the perfect fit for us. His personality just exudes positivity and it was so evident the passion that he had! He was the only person we left talking about. We called him several times that day to ask questions and Charles was always available to answer and help guide us along the way. He even helped put us in contact with photographers. The service and quality that Charles provides is unparalleled. Charles made us feel so comfortable during the getting ready phase as well as the rest of the evening. Charles and his team worked really hard to capture a lot of difficult shots and we couldn't be more grateful! When we first saw our video, we were in awe. My husband and I met Charles of Aloha Films Videography through our wedding photographer Jeanne Viggiano. Although our meeting was via face time, we had an instant connection with Charles. He was understanding, patient and personable and his can-do attitude meshed very well with ours. We felt confident that he would take great care of us. Our instincts proved right, we couldn't have asked for anyone better than Charles! Like many couples, we had a limited budget, but we were pleasently surprised at how flexible Charles was and he customized his service and provided us several options to fit our budget. Charles was fabulous at capturing amazingly breathtaking moments that we will always cherish and treasure. And he did all this while totally blending in and not detracting from our event. Needless to say, Charles not only uses some of the best video and audio gear in the industry, but also has a keen key on what's important and knows how to capture it perfectly! On the day of our event, Charles and his assistant arrived early to our hotel to video both of us getting ready and still managed to get to our venue ahead of our guest to shoot drone footage of the event. He didn't leave the venue until the end even though we were overtime. It's worth mentioning that it drizzled throughout our event and rained heavily at times, not unsual for Hawaii. Nonetheless, Charles and his assistant performed flawlessly without a single complaint or hicckup. In fact, he was instrumental in keeping us cheerful and positive throughout our event even while he and his assistant were totally soaked. Simply put, he was fantastic. The live stream of the service was a big disappointment, to be generous. The video was pretty basic and they missed most of the procession. Worse yet, the audio stream was badly corrupted and kept breaking up. A ten year old with a cell phone could have done a better job. Can't wait to see what they do to the final edits. read more

Over the past 35 years, we've solicited the help of a number of tax preparers, all by referrals. We've learned about the differing styles of the various CPAs, as some are conservative, interpret tax laws in black and white, or are liberal in their interpretations. As we were looking for a CPA that was liberal in their tax law interpretation and yet within the requirements of the law, our Estate Attorney recommended Tamilyn Masuda CPA to us in 2012, as he was using her and was satisfied with her services. Since 2012, Tamilyn has been our CPA for our tax needs, and we are very satisfied with her. In fact, we consult with her throughout the year, and not only during tax time, as we've consulted with her on the tax effects of purchasing/selling investment property, creating a LLC, looking at retirement account options, estate planning, and tax liability reduction. Tamilyn is very accommodating, as we could call her with questions anytime during the year at no charge. She is friendly, personable, and easy to talk to. We haven't had any problems with our tax returns. I do categorize my receipts and create x-cell worksheets to make it easier for Tamilyn to put things in order. It's also a self-check for me if there is a payment transaction issue that needs to be followed up on. A face-to-face appointment is then made with Tamilyn to go over the worksheets and any issues that we have. We've always have had timely responses in completing our returns, and Tamilyn will call if she needs further clarification or receipts. We request a draft of our return so that we can review the entries and get any clarifications, if needed. Once we give approval, the tax return is finalized by having us sign the documents. With the current Covid-19, however, social distancing required some changes. We were fortunate to have had a face-to-face appointment as we had scheduled it before the procedural changes. Now, all receipts and documents are to be mailed in or dropped into a box just outside the office's front door by calling staff prior to dropping off. They will retrieve them, and Tamilyn will start reviewing them in preparing the tax return. Upon completion, a phone call would be made for you to pick up your return, and sign any documents in the box outside the front door. Local-born Tamilyn has more than 30 years of accounting experience, including 7 years as an IRS Auditor for small businesses. With this knowledge and experience, she started her business, Tamilyn Masuda CPA, as she has the IRS insight not only to assist small businesses, but also to individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, estates, and non-profit organizations. She provides services in bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning and preparation, audit representation, estate planning, and divorce/support issues. She is assisted by her adult daughter, Shauna, who is well equipped with accounting knowledge and experience, and additional staff during the busy times. Tamilyn's office is on the 2nd floor above the Original Pancake House in the Waiakamilo Shopping Center in Kalihi. There is a secured entry, as you will need to call her office on the intercom on the 1st floor at the foot of the stairs. She will buzz you in once you give your name and the reason why you're there. Office hours are Mon. to Fri. from 8a-4p, with extended hours during tax time. Yes, we have finally found a CPA that fits our needs and has the same views of the tax laws and our liabilities to Uncle Sam as we do. Perhaps Tamilyn Masuda CPA can be of the same fit to you too?

My husband and I got married on Oahu and out of all the videographer portfolio/videos I saw online, I was most impressed with Aloha Films. EVERY single video had so much thought put into it, it didn't matter if it was a wedding or a real estate video of a home. Aloha Films add a certain feeling with sound and details that capture the true essence and beauty of what they are filming. To be honest, the drone shots are what made his work stand out. The aerial views of our venue are worth every penny alone. Charles created the most wonderful wedding highlight video of our wedding day. Professionally, he was easy to work with and made us and others feel very comfortable in front of the camera. When we weren't posing, it was as if Aloha Films wasn't even there, but they still captured everything! Charles worked well with the photographers we hired and the music choice for our highlight video fit so well with the feel of the day. If you are wondering if you should get a videographer--YES GET ONE! And if you are wondering who to pick-- PICK ALOHA FILMS! I have watched and re-watched this video and our ceremony as well and I cannot tell you how happy I am EVERY time I watch them both. My husband and I also added the live feed package to have the ceremony broadcast live online to those who could not make the wedding. It is an added expense that is well worth it to share this very important day with friends and family who could not be in Hawaii with us. I immediately had messages after the wedding telling me how beautiful and perfect everything was. I honestly am very pleased this was an option Aloha Films offered. Both the ceremony and highlight videos will help us remember just how wonderful and full of love our day was. I'm even more happy at the thought of having this as a visually interesting and beautiful film to share with friends, family, AND with our future children! everyone will tell you that your wedding day will go by in a flash. & they aren't lying to you! as much as you might try to sit back & take everything in, you just can't. & everyone will tell you you need a videographer. once again, they aren't lying to you. Charles was everything I could have hoped for & more! he showed up to my wedding ready to run thru the rain & make magic. he put up with my ever demanding friends & other vendors & I couldn't appreciate it more. so fast forward to two month later, when I got my wedding preview. I cried all over again! I could feel the love all over again! getting married in Hawaii you don't "forget" how breathtakingly beautiful your venue is, you just get to see it in a new light. He was fast at communicating with us & our wedding planner as we approached our wedding day so everything went smoothly. We had so much fun with our first look shots it made me so much less nervous for the ceremony, with Charles' positivity & happiness, along with our photographer, Michele Coelho. With those two, you can't go wrong with them shooting your wedding. I absolutely love them. They really compliment each other. Our highlight video made me cry. Charles did such an amazing job transitioning everything together, from the ariel view of the garden, to our first look, to our vows. It was way more than I expected & now I am recommending him to everyone I know having a wedding. I interviewed multiple people trying to find a videographer for our wedding. I am on the shy side, and so it's important to have a good rapport with the people around me, especially since I knew it would be a stressful (and joyous) day. On our phone interview, Charles immediately put me at ease. We chatted like we were old friends, and I knew he would be the one we would trust for our day. Charles captured so many special moments that we both missed in the chaos and excitement of the day. His shots were completely stunning, from some of the close-up shots to the aerial views from his drone! We booked Aloha Films and Charles at a wedding Expo. While there were a lot of vendors there, Charles stood out as friendly, good quality, and he had a drone!! We chose the Pineapple Story package, which included 14 hours full coverage, aerial robe footage, highlight film, and then added same-day edit (which was totally worth it!!). The same day edit was perfect and the video is something (that I didn't think we would ever watch) we have already watched twice. My husband and I recently did a destination in Hawaii in January. We were referred to aloha films by our photographer. We just received our video back from the wedding and I could not help but cry of happiness and joy. Charles did an amazing job and went above and beyond of what I imagined. My husband and I are just in love with the video and it was everything I wanted and more. My husband and I wrote our own vows to each other and he did an amazing job inserting them in the video. The production quality was superb! I never thought watching our wedding highlight would feel like we were watching a full-blown movie but that's exactly how it felt. Everything about it from the music selection to the perfectly cut snippets from our wedding day and night, to the beautiful overhead drone footage, really took it to the next level.
