My cousin recommended this dispensary as she gets a tincture to help her sleep, and my aunt gets a cream to help back pain. I parked in the building 1 level below the lobby and you have to exit the building to access the entrance of the dispensary on King Street. I was surprised I had to go through a metal detector to get in and security cameras are everywhere. But it didn't feel sterile or institutional like the one I visited in Las Vegas. It kinda felt like a local doctor's office but you could smell weed, although none was visible in the lobby. Mostly reading material & a tv screen showing products. I filled out a short registration document and showed them my new virtual medical Marijuana card. In 5 minutes they buzzed me in to the back room and it's even more cozy in there. On one wall there is a nice menu with lots of choices including the THC/CBD content of each product. They don't really sell any paraphernalia or have much product on display. You go off the menu and they pull the product out of locked drawers. They only allow a few people in there at a time. I didn't get the name of the lady who helped me but she was super knowledgeable and friendly, she knew her stuff. I was educated on CBN which is sort of new, it targets sleep. She recommended I get the peach mango CBN gummies for sleep. It came in a really cool tin for $20 I believe. I keep mine refrigerated as the humidity can make them sorta melt. I had just one before bed time and have to say it worked well. I have been having insomnia due to chemotherapy and nothing else worked. I tried melatonin, meditation, blue blocker glasses, and over-the-counter CBD. Then I realized I needed a medical Marijuana card to get the good stuff, higher dosages and engineered to address my specific needs. This technology has come a long way from buying a dime bag on the street corner. I wanted something natural that doesn't interfere with my chemotherapy and I did much research into CBD. They do a good job at educating you how everything works, all in a nice environment. Since I haven't been to any other Hawaii dispensary I have no comparison, especially price but when you need relief money is no object. Note: while they do accept credit card, there is a $4.50 service fee but they give you $2 cash back of that. They also validate your parking. So better to bring all cash. It appears their menu changes frequently, they grow all their own product, and there's another location near Lagoon Drive that I will probably try. Shop at NOA Botanicals, they are RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, AND OFFER THE EXACT SAME PRODUCTS without making you feel like a criminal. Unlike Aloha Green, NOA doesn't make you feel like a criminal. At NOA you don't have to empty your pockets, walk through a metal detector, nor do you have to show your cards TWICE, to 2 different people. And the best part you don't have to interact with angry security guards who don't know anything about customer service. I mean Im spending $200 in like 1 minute, I should be treated like a customer not like a criminal! The older asian security guard wanted me to walk the metal detector a second time, even though it didn't go off the first time. Then present the same id and med card to another person behind the glass, which takes about 3 mins for her to process your info and then once you're finally in you have to present your ID for a third time. After all this you are presented with what looks like weed i would have bought in middle school in Texas. Terrible weed for a high price. And then after that they tell you we only take cash which isn't totally out of the ordinary for a dispensary but it's yet another step to go to atm and pull out cash for a $4 service fee.. you're better off buying on the street in my opinion. I was SO excited to finally get my medical card and go to a dispensary and grab high grade bud and know the names of strains, etc. However I just recently got a scale to make cannabutter and wanted to weigh out the ounce that I bought from the dispensary given to me in prepared containers to go. I thought I was getting an OZ (8x3.5 = 28g) when really every container weighed out to 3g each!! In total only 24g. WHY. I was so huge to support local dispensaries because we need to as w community here in Hawaii. I know there is a discount of 10%/25% (depending) but they should say hey you get a discount off the price and bud, just to be real. Auwe NOT PONO. Alright, I've been coming here for awhile now, both locations. And, today, they really p'ed me off by blatantly disrespecting their patents. So, it's time to leave a review. First, the people are super nice. And, honestly, they have the cutest girls too. But, that's never the problem with these places. The real questions are quality and price. So, in regards to quality, they are the best in the state. But, that's not saying much. They have the largest selection of products, including, flowers with the highest THC concentrations and the best flavors. But, the quality isn't even remotely close to what you'll find in California, Vegas, Denver, etc. They never have real headies. It's mostly varying degrees beasters. And, I'd even call some of their strands middies, but there are no seeds. So, basically, they're an LA 6 at best. Now, pricing...They price gouge. That's all there is to it. Aloha! Green Apothecary is waaay out in left field in comparison to not only the rest of the state, but the country as well. They quite literally offer the lowest quality product, in comparison to the rest of the country, at the highest prices; i.e., 15-30% higher than California, Vegas, Denver, etc. They ask for close to $600 for an ounce of 22-23% THC beaster flowers with their lower THC strains hovering around $450-$480. And, when they run a "special" they try to dump their overstocked and low THC concentration strains for $380. lol Yeah, it's like that. Which leads to the blatant disrespect I experience while attempting to shop there today. Today, they literally had the balls to ask $65 for their cheapest gram of dab concentrate. The "medical" cannabis industry is a cash business with no help for patents from insurance companies, and very little; if at all, in regards to government oversight when it comes to pricing. Yet, these fools have the gall to act like the medical industrial complex by artificially inflating prices on their captive market like crack dealers in the 80's. What a beautiful store! I'm surprised I was able to make it to this location as I live in Ewa, but my birthday weekend my friends and I spent the night on the town and were within walking distance of this location - so I went! Everyone from the security guard to the lady who checks you in to the "budtenders" is extremely nice and helpful - just like their other location. AGA is definitely building a great reputation as setting the bar for customer service and satisfaction. Okay, so the location is just off of Kalakaua on Saratoga. There is street parking if you're lucky or you can park across the street at the Post Office and pay. The apothecary is one store down from Eggs n Things. It's quite small, so don't miss it! Immediately when you walk in, the guard is to your left and you give him your ID and 329 card as well as anything you're carrying (purse, bag, keys, cell phone, etc.) and walk through the metal detector. The lady behind the window takes your credentials to get you checked in and almost immediately you are ushered to the back to the budtender. The back store itself if also quite small but I absolutely adore it! Something about the aesthetics of this location really brightens my day and makes it a whole body experience just going there. So I placed my order and paid via CanPay. You still get a 10% off "member discount" but they are doing their points system differently as of the beginning of 2020. You no longer have to sign in with your phone number on the tablet, instead their system keeps track of your purchases for you. $1=1 point, I believe. Don't quote me on that. I left the store feeling great. It wasn't until the next day when I was home that I checked my purchases and noticed that they had given me the wrong 1/8th of flower. I emailed them immediately and the very next day was called by their store manager, Noel, who apologized profusely and was super nice and accommodated me for their blunder. I am just so pleased with their service. I wasn't able to get my actual order until almost a month later, but they still honored their word. They have an abundance of concentrates and they're the first dispensary to open in Hawaii. I enjoy all of their flower products and their customer service is knowledgeable and super friendly. Great security, good kind service, validated covered parking and one nasty girl who said that I did not qualify for my usual discount on THC salve. She volunteered quickly that I didn't qualify for my usual discount although she didn't say why. When I asked her a few questions about it a young Asian male walked up behind her and started talking to me. He took over the conversation and after answering my questions he said, "there must've been some mistake but of course you qualify for your discount." Why the young, blonde girl immediately told me that I didn't qualify for the discount even though I usually do, is actually beyond me. She didn't know me, she looked at my past history of purchases and knew that I qualified for a discount and denied that discount before I even asked about it. Strange. I do notice that that young thang just loves to chat it up with her younger male counterparts and she certainly not short on her flirtatious tone of voice while waiting on them. And look, I don't begrudge her little tête-à-tête with her come hither soon-to-be boyfriends but she's on the time clock so her services and manners shouldn't stink. But they do. Class up, young lady. The reason for my low star rating is primarily because all apothecaries certainly don't make it easy for people needing medical marijuana relief. We opt for this in lieu of taking additional medication which everyone knows is not without its side effects. With insurance nowadays, drugs are actually cheaper than medical marijuana. But because of the lack of competition in Hawaii I would say fairly that the State has gotten it ass backwards and as far as acknowledging natural pain relievers. The State should make it more easily available by lowering the cost. Competition would drive cost way down. This is something the Federal Government already knows. I wonder if people realize that the Federal Government already owns patents on THC derived medications? I do not take THC to get high. I take a low dose THC and a high dose of CBD for pain. Old injury pain, new surgery pain, that I continue to alleviate with prescription drugs but I have found in recent years that those pain relievers aren't sufficient. THC and CBD are not a cure-all either. But they do take the edge off acute pain and also allow me to fall asleep peacefully without any psychotropic experiences. THC in microdoses are merely for pain, stress or anxiety. While I don't suffer from anxiety I do have quite a number of sleepless nights every month due to pain. Because the THC/CBD takes the edge off the pain I am able to get a good night's sleep. And I believe that these natural ingredients should be more readily available to people in Hawaii. Having said that I do not believe that recreational marijuana would be of any benefit to the State except for its' coffers and in the long run would probably be worse for Hawaii, if made legal. Getting back to the rating for this particular apothecary I guess you could say that it's just OK. There's one across the street that I have yet to visit but being that all the costs of these natural medications is through the roof, until any or all of them bring down their prices, I will continue to be critical of their businesses. These stores are thriving and they can well afford to give their clients true pain relief, for less. read more

Wow! Super friendly experience at the Waikiki location. Very easy to find from the road. Ample parking on a mellow weekday morning. Everything took less than the half hour that I paid for at the meter. I walk in and I'm greeted by this huge sole dude, bigger than me, who asks me to empty my pockets and I walk through the metal detector. I had already filled out the intake papers that you can print at home from their webpage before going in so check in was a breeze. Waited to get called into the dispensary area which was really cool. Merchandise, books, apparel and of course the medication. All kinds of stuff. I got a few 1/8's and they offered a spray for a dollar more so I tried it out. Overall they have a good assortment of products with everything marked fairly clearly, in a cool and chill environment. The store is set up for social distancing so you are standing a distance from the counter. This is a hinderance, imho, not just here but in a lot of businesses. Sometimes it's hard to hear from a distance while talking through masks and plexiglass. So I don't hold that against them, but personally, I can be hard of hearing and I did notice that there was enough background noise that I almost didn't hear certain things. I walked away happy though. They also gave me a coupon for my next visit which will definitely be around those dates that they wrote! The sole security dude even reminded me about my Victorinox that I actually forgot with him when I got checked in because they don't allow any form of anything that may be used as a weapon. I went in today to make my purchase, I went online and ordered then went to the store front to pick up my purchase. When I got there and they got my order I was told that I can not use my saved up credit to make a purchase of any sale item. WTF???? When did this new policy start? I was told in the beginning of the month. Why wasn't I notified? There is nothing on their website where I order regularly, often 2 x month. The manager told me it is on the advertisement and the web site, then he points to the bottom of the page that they print out at the store-a 8 x 10 piece of paper. All of the ads telling of their product, and on the last 1/2 inch of paper on the add is fine print. So now I have a credit I can not use as I have been using for the last 6 months, and the fine print on the 8 inch by 10 inch printed advertisement only gives 2 small lines, and the part that mentions not being able to use the credit on any sale item. It says "May not use with any other discount or loyalty", and that's only a third of what's written there. Are they trying to hide something, or is the management trying to slip things by their customers, changing the rules on how we can use a credit they (the business) gave us. Why not make your notice larger and more noticeable in the sales room. Look at the ad. I guess I need to find somewhere else to make my purchases. I hope more of their customers are upset about this and let the owners know, and what the consequences are of their trying to slip one by their customers. read more

As a combat vet/cannabis patient I have visited all 3 dispensaries on Oahu; Aloha Green was the first to implement social distancing, masks and noticeable cleanliness upgrades. I've been to this dispensary a couple of times. Their top shelf flower is very good to excellent. At my first visit, I purchased a couple grams of their Chocolope strain. I didn't taste any chocolate. But, I could definitely taste the cantaloupe. Though a bit pricey, I have to say that it is some truly excellent flower. It has what I call a very big "happiness factor". Kudos to the production team for growing such a great batch. . During another visit, I tried their Skywalker Kush and found that to be very good as well. Everyone, from the greeter/security guy to the bud tender staff, are all very friendly and helpful. I had a great experience in the store and when I got home. My only negative with this dispensary is the price of their flower. I simply can't afford it.
