I waited until my appointment time and then a few minutes later and still no one was there. I called the phone number and asked where she was. She did do a nice job on my eyebrows, but it wasn't worth the wait and the attitude. An older lady, probably the owner greeted us, I handed her the Groupon and explained I had an appt. at 11AM. She was surprised and asked if I were sure our appt. was for today. We assured her it was and we had the appt. setters name and date that we made the appt. on the paper along with the appt. date and time. She then explained staff would not be in until 11 and asked how far we drove to get there; and then asked if there was somewhere we could go. I explained I would not mind waiting. She said fine, she was agitated and left the room. She came back and gave me the form to fill out. While I was filling it out the phone rang, when she got off the phone she said to us agitated, why is this lady calling me with her Groupon for, the Radiant Glow spa package has already expired?. She left the room upset, came back in the room and gave my daughter the spa form to fill out. My daughter explained she is not having a treatment and the lady said she had to fill it out to sit with me. My daughter filled it out although we thought it was unusual. After all forms were filled out we waited a little and then she asked us to go to the back for treatment. It was 10:42AM I did not see another staff person come in. My daughter sat at a table to study for a test for graduate school. The lady advised my daughter she could not sit there and asked my daughter to sit on the hydro massage bed. My daughter explained she did not pay for that. The lady explained she needed her to move to the hydro massage bed. My daughter moved to the hydro bed. Then I was asked to undress and get on the bed in another room. The lady said the room was hot, I was thinking, no kidding, I would be more then happy to wait in the waiting room. I never had seen the 11AM staff person come in yet. She said she just turned the air on to cool it down. While I was undressing the lady asked my daughter to move to the hydro bed right besides the other hydro bed she was on. There were a curtain between me and my daughter so I could hear and see everything. I looked at my daughter thinking this lady is nuts and I know my daughter looked at me thinking what the hell is up with this whacked lady. My daughter moved to the other hydro bed, they are about 2 feet apart. Then the lady said, "You need to lay down for insurance purposes." My daughter explained she would sit on the bed and study her note cards and not move. The lady said, would you like to leave then? My daughter said I'm not leaving my mother here but I will sit here and not move, I'm studying. Thank goodness my daughter did not leave. I believe she is off her meds or needs some. We are 2 adult women and I am almost fifty. I have been to many of spas and never ran across one like this. The lady comes back to me and puts cream on my face with a spoon, does not massage it in and then immediately puts a towel on my face and says it's suppose to be hot but she didn't have time to warm it up; then takes it off. What a waste of my time and money. Then she put something over my eyes, now they were closed, and she said nicely, is the red light too bright? She said if it is I can cover your eyes more. I said no, I can not even see a light. Then she flipped the switch on, which turned the light on and walked out of the room. The bright light lit up the whole room it seemed to me, I wished my eyes were covered more. I thought at least now she is gone, I kept telling myself, try to relax, she is out of the room. She came back and took the stuff off my eyes and asked if I was seeing stars. I was seeing little small stars and lots of them; she said some people see stars when they relax from this. I was thinking that was not the case as this spa visit has been the visit from hell. I left the hotter then hell room and she took me to a room and put a teaspoon of scrub in my hand and turned on the bathroom faucet and told me to scrub my hands together under the faucet. She said this would remove dead skin. If I wanted to wait on myself I could have stayed home. Then she had me put my hands in warm wax and lay on the hydro bed. She put towels on top of me to put my hands in. I did this for a few minutes but I was so hot from the hot room, I was sweating so I took my hands out of the towel, I was miserably hot. She came over turned the hydro off and said now its going to be difficult to get this wax off your hands because you took them out of the warm towel. The wax easily came off; I was so hot it was dripping off. The $129.00 my daughter spent was a waste. The Spa values their Radiant Package at a $336.00 value. I was taken back to the room at 10:42 and left at 11:10AM. At 11:05AM another staff person came in I am thinking she was supposed to give me my treatment. I was the only customer there and I never see cars in their driveway. I believe she is mentally unstable.
