I have been going to this nail salon for years. All of the nail techs do an amazing job. Some days (like Saturday and Sunday) you might have a wait, but it never very long. They have one of the largest selections of colors you'll find, and can do almost anything so long as you show them a picture or explain it accurately. The prices are at least 10% less than nearby salons. And they are open 7 days a week so it's easy to find a time to get in. read more

They are going to ask what you want, tell you to pick a color, put you in a chair, rush through the job while ignoring you the whole time and conversing back and forth with their coworkers in another language. If you want a basic mani pedi or color change they are going to have 2 people working on you at the same time while contorting you into uncomfortable positions to accommodate them trying to get the job done as fast as possible with no concern for your comfort. I have been coming here for 5 months, every 2 weeks they see me. It started out $35 for an acrylic fill w/gel...then a few weeks later it was $40, and a few weeks later it was $45. I asked what I was getting or doing to make the price keep going up, and she said your nails grow long, the price goes up. Mind you, I have had the same length the whole time! I get it filed down a bit each time to match the grow-out but that's it. So dumb! There is nothing on the price list for diff length nails they are just charging me random prices for fun. I will no longer go here and they just lost a really reliable and consistent client. They aren't the nicest and they treat me like I'm A bother. When you make an appointment you still wait for a really long time. I wish I had the owners info to tell them about this. read more

Tren added tips to my broken off nails and was very accommodating in helping me find just the right shade of white. I was referred here by a friend, who had gotten a shellac manicure here and was very satisfied with the job done, so I thought this was going to be a great manicure. When I walked in, they asked me about 5 times if I wanted a regular manicure or a gel manicure...like they didn't understand I wanted a REGULAR manicure. I picked my color and was shown to a chair. A girl sat down and started got me water to soak my fingers in...this was COLD water people...aren't you supposed to use warm water to soften cuticles? Whatever...anyway, she started working on my nails, and after the girl filed my nails, she just got up and started doing some other girl's pedicure and never said anything to me. Then when I finally flagged someone down to be like, hey, is she coming back, they told me that she was helping someone else who had an appointment. WTF...I was ok, but like don't just get up and walk away, like tell me what's going on. Then some other girl came to give me a manicure, didn't speak a word of english, refiled everything, so now my nails are SUPER short...and she cut my cuticles 3 times, like seriously, they did not need to be cut 3 times! The only nice part about the manicure was the wax or paraffin treatment that you got after the filing/cuticle cutting, but before the polish. The paint job was pretty abysmal too...nail polish all over my cuticles and all over my fingers. I could have definitely done a better job by myself at home. read more

Had my first pedi all summer, so its most likely been a year! My heels were horrendous but Jane worked on them and worked on them and they are smooth as a baby's behind! So happy. Epik Nail is located on Western Avenue near 63rd. Typically, I find a manicurist and stick with them but on this day I had left my phone behind at a nearby restaurant and needed to get my nails cleaned up in time for Mother's Day. I was happy that they were able to take me right away. The salon has 7 spa chairs and a number of manicure tables, otherwise it is fairly Spartan. I had a very difficult time trying to communicate, I am not sure the gals doing my nails spoke English at all. This is fine but if the manager/owner is aware of this then it would be helpful to ask the client if they have any requests etc. and communicate this directly to the estheticians. The manicure and pedicure were both pretty bad. I was nicked more than once both hands and feet...drew blood on my hands. The overall cleanliness needs to be improved, the towels were dirty and stained and there were numerous odds and ends all over the shop that looked they had been collecting dust for some time. So, while I was bleeding, with a stained and ratty dish towel and nails that got filed and clipped into oblivion I got to listen to my manicurists engage in what I can only surmise was a huge gossip fest...they whispered throughout the whole appointment, heads down only to look askance at the objects of their verbal interest and to apologize when they drew blood. For all this I got to pay $40. I am sure there is a lesson in here somewhere under the band-aids. read more

This is a great place to have your nails done. I have gone here *many* times since moving to OKC/ Nichols Hills. The pedicure options are great and are affordable. As at most places, the more you want, the more you pay, but I would not say the prices are above anywhere else. They have recently had some of their techs leave, but they take care in training the new people. In fact, if you get a new person, it is likely you will get extra stuff simply because they are training and trying to get more experience. There are a couple of techs who speak minimal English, but Trina is quick to help you and her staff understand and communicate. There is a wide variety of colors to choose from and one of the largest gel selections I've seen in OKC. My only complaint is that OCCASIONALLY, when they are really busy, customers already seated and having services performed will get the short end of a service in an attempt to get to another customer paying. But, I don't think there is a place in OKC that will handle this situation differently, as they make most of their money on tips and more people mean more chance for tips. My recommendation, if you are wary, is to go on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday night around 5:30. Fridays and Saturdays are their busiest times. And, if you don't work during the day, their daytime availability is ample. My sister and I like this place so much that she is having her bridal party get their manis and pedis here. read more

I ran to Epik Nail on my lunch break and told them up front I didn't have a lot of time. They asked me my time frame & made sure they respected it. I got the Epik pedicure and it felt amazing. The leg massage with it and heating pad on my shoulders felt wonderful. I did a gel nail and the paint job looks fantastic. I also splurged for the additional 10 minute shoulder massage. Every time I go somewhere else I always regret not coming here. They don't push the expensive pedicures on me they just let me chose and always do an amazing job! I throughly enjoyed my time here. I was greeted promptly and asked what I needed. I picked out my nail colors while they got my pedicure water ready. I hand my hands and feet worked on at the same time. The two techs were friendly and offered additional services but didn't pressure you to accept them. This was the first nail salon where I got my nails "dipped", instead of shellac-ed or gel-ed. After that experience, I was sold on getting them dipped.for.life. The dip itself was sturdy enough that it didn't chip or wear off loooong past the point when I should have had them redone (I was seriously probably two weeks overdue)...lol. Unfortunately, the last time I went in I had a completely different experience. After only two days, they started chipping; not just on the ends, but also near the cuticles (hence the four stars, as opposed to five). It's possible the tech was new to the process and is still working out the kinks. :-) The staff is always extremely friendly, they seem to remember you (even if you've only been in a handful of times), and manicures are given in massage chairs, instead of straight-backed chair at a lame table. I'm a big fan of the ladies at Epik Nail Salon and will definitely be returning...most likely today. read more
