I came here after being asked by a different shop that they own to go to this location, said I would get a discount for going there because I was just going to go to a different shop I already know (I did not go to a different shop and did not receive said discount). I go a deluxe pedicure which was the fastest pedicure on the planet, the guy couldn't have rushed through it faster if he tried. Didn't even clean up my cuticles, which infuriates me because it's the only thing I needed done. Then I get a French manicure where he files my natural nail down way too thin and does a terrible job with the polish. I've never seen them not clean up the lines before, mine are jagged. If I wasn't leaving for vacation i would have complained but I knew it would have just been a waste of time. Don't waste your time or money here! read more

it's been a long time since I've gone to the salon for a full set. I've been doing my own nails at home & I just simply wanted to have my nails done without it taking hours on my own. I used to always go all out and pay more than $70 for a set. As a paying customer we always want to feel in good hands. I hate the energy walking into salons, they are unwelcoming & very uncomfortable. As if we're a bother, walking in their business.. I came in after work for simple red almond nails. 3 performers from San Francisco needed to stop and get nails done after getting Sherifs Card, 3 full sets, the "techs" don't know what they are doing, all 3 of us had to ask repeatedly for fixes on the shapes. They asked us questions to see how much we knew so they could up charge us thinking we are first timers. They made them shorter than we asked for and left acrylic powder all over the backs of the nails and finger tips. She filed directly on my cuticle a couple of different times, cutting me, and then on top of everything, they charged us almost a Benjamin each after no upfront notice when whe said what we want. THEY SWAPED TOOLS WITH EACH OTHER WITHOUT CLEANSING BEFORE USEING ON OTHER CUSTOMERS AND NAIL CLIPPERS WERE RUSTY. When we questioned the prices since these are not more then short-medium(lots of experience with getting nails done just never had them at this location), they claimed they were long styles(mine are only 1 inch including the nail bed(which is a short/barely medium length) and that everyone knows what the prices are and we were ignorant for not knowing . I had to tell her many times to fix bubbles in my polish and polish that wasn't applied on the sides of my nails. I love my nails! The ladies and gents here are awesome, professional and skilled but also chill and fun. Covid precautions were A+, I felt very safe. First visit I went in for a dip manicure and regular pedicure. I believe the manicure was done by the owner of the salon and my pedicure was done by her partner. They were both really cool people and seemed to have a good rapport with all the other folks who work there as well as with the customer that came in.. it was nice to see and to be around. Initially I chose a single shade, a light glittery purple, and I really liked it. I had my nails done at my former favorite salon on the southwest side of town in October 2022. Not only had their prices skyrocketed from $45 pre covid to $75 post covid, but the nails came out super chunky and thick. I was so disappointed that I had to begin the search for a new salon yet again. Thankfully, I got lucky! I switched to Aloha Nails in November 2022 and havn't looked back. They charge a fee if you pay with credit/debit, but if you pay in cash, dip nails are $50. Jake is my go-to, he always does a fantastic job and his attention to detail is second to none. read more

I'm very disappointed to write a lower updated review but it's necessary. I've been coming to the shop for a year, my favorite tech I mentioned in the first review Stephanie is no longer there. Everything has been fine with the other techs until last night. I was almost charged $71 just for a short French tip full set (gel). I told the lady I've never been charged that much then she says "oh it's $65". I told her just for nails? She mentioned the "coffin" shape, I've ALWAYS got the same nails everytime I go. A full set for me has been no more than $55 and of course I tip $10-$12. I still tipped her last night but I won't be returning to this shop as they have a new lady who's charging whatever she wants. She also called the wonder while I was sitting there to prove it was $65, she says see? I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I'm from out of town and decided to go with my friends who were getting their nails done for a performance. Tools were unsanitized and passed between techs, the service was rushed, acrylic dripped onto the bottom of the nail and not cleaned up, no bottom coat used, I had to correct the technician a few times and my nails still turned out uneven. I was charged almost double the menu price for at best medium length nails with a regular one color polish, no details or accents, and when I asked why no increased prices were discussed with me before getting the service, the man at the counter said I should have just known several times and was extremely rude about it. He wanted to know if it was my first time getting my nails done there and I said yes. It's not my first time getting my nails done ever though. I think he thought I meant it was my first time ever having my nails done. He tried to say that paying almost double for what I got was industry standard and that has never been true in all the years I've been getting my nails done and I'm several different states. Straight gaslighting. It's been four days and my nails are lifting on two fingers. I don't do any sort of crazy activities where they would be lifting up like this. They have a 7 day guarantee but I'm not holding my breath for any sort of help after the way we were treated. Went and had my longer nails done by Lina on a Friday, by Sunday my nail color was changing a yellow tint. I called and they told me to come in and they would fix, even though during the fix, I felt as if she was saying it was my fault. Now a couple days later, my nails are now Lifting from the back. Never had that happen with my nails sooo soon :/ I probably won't be going back. RESPONSE BACK TO LINA: No One ever said you had to Change my gel for free, nor did I want a gel color change. All I wanted were my nails the color I Paid for and not changing Yellow so soon after paying so much for them! Also there was only you and one other tech there not "Several" as you mentioned, but that comment there is exactly what I mean by you making it seem as if I was "seeing" things. No matter what, as a customer if I'm not satisfied with what I received and paid for then yes you should fix that, as any Good, professional nail salon should do. The nail tech that did my fill could've taken more time on my design because it came out a bit sloppy, however, he went off of a design on my phone. Staff was nice but rushed through my friend and my pedicures. Both of us being nail technicians we definitely didn't appreciate it. We were the only 2 people in the whole salon until halfway through but they rushed from the start and I got my big toe cut right at the start so every little thing was stinging like crazy! My tech was also crazy heavy handed when it came to the cuticle pusher, I was getting teary eyed because it hurt so bad. One of the members tried to push us to get the more expensive pedicure, telling us "do you want the $75 or the $60?" And I was saying 'probably the $35', she responded with 'the $40 or $60?' and we were persistent that we wanted the $35 classic one because we were mainly looking forward to the massage and the color change, we didn't want all the extra steps, but they started adding random things onto our services and we stopped them but our pedicures went from the $45 (extra $15 with gel polish) to $55 each?! We didn't ask for those so we definitely didn't appreciate it. Massage was weak and like a solid 1 minute when other salons are at least 5 minute minimum. Then when I got home one of my nails polish completely fell off!!! Like I was sitting on the couch and took off my blanket and with my blanket came my pinky polish Nice enough staff but terrible quality pedicures and I definitely won't ever be back. read more

Seems like your typical salon paid 95 for a gel pedi and full set with a matte finish, signs say they are open till midnight but yelp says 11 although I would call because I was the last client and they seemed to leave after at about 10pm My pedi was decent tommy really took his time to get my cuticles and shape my nails but my polish is a little ehh on just my big toes it seems. Charlie did my full set and by far the best coffin I've ever had. I entered and was immediately greeted with a friendly hello. I signed in and was asked to choose a color. They have some new colors that are not in the wall which I would recommend. I chose an orange that I was very happy with. I proceeded to get to my chair and was offered a cold drink. The new owners are very friendly. The salon is clean. It's definitely a simple, no frills kind of place but it was peaceful and relaxing. The televisions are kept on mute so you can enjoy the calming music and waterfalls. I am so disappointed with the services I got today at Aloha Nails. This is where I used to come when I wanted a really great pedicure/manicure. They were a little pricier but I believe you get what you pay for. Plus...Aloha-gotta support. Well today I went in to treat myself before my vacation. I see a "new management" sign. I had called for an appointment & Mimi helped me. I think she might be the owner. The pedicure was $35 & it sucked. My favorite part of a pedicure is the massage. Nope-no foot massage, just a little leg scrub that wasn't rinsed off all the way. When she started painting, I was so confused? Where's the foot massage? I'm not one to cause trouble or tell people how to do their jobs so I let this go. On to my gel manicure. Worst ever. I told her please not too thick-it's so thick & has so many speed bumps on it!!! Also my skin was over cut & over chemical'd. It's so dry & hurts so bad. The polish is not straight & all on my skin. I tried to get it off of my skin but I'll prob have to wait a couple days since It's gel. So with the 20% off gel manicure "under new management" special My total for mani/pedi was $59 plus $11 tip. $70 for BS disgusting nails. I'm so mad that I gave that much tip, I'm so mad that I left without saying anything-that's my own fault. Change the name-you are not Aloha nails anymore. Theirs no aloha & the service sucks.
