I love aloha poke in the third ward and was thrilled to find this one in a little strip mall in downtown tosa They have raw and cooked options, along with chicken for non pescatarians and tofu. There's specialty bowls (I always enjoy the "crunch" bowl) or you can create your own combo. The guy who served us was super nice Some things to keep in mind - there's a 60 min limit in the parking lot here. I found parking on the street but just something to keep in mind. Also, it's more a takeout location but there are 3 booth/tables available and they all filled up while we were there. I've gotten Aloha Poke twice now. The first time I ordered a simple CYOB with marinated tuna, salmon, pineapple and a few other fixings. When I say half of the bowl (rice included) was pineapple, I mean it. The rice was stale and undercooked. It was crunchy and unpleasant. The tuna and salmon was good, so good to the point I decided to go back a second time. The second time I went, I had a similar bowl and the proportions were better. However, the rice was somehow worse than the first time! The sauce drown everything else within, and I love sauce, but that was too much. I ended up not finishing the bowl at all which was a first. Overall pretty disappointed with the quality of this bowl. I hope better competitors from the east side and downtown travel this way to fill the void I was hoping Aloha could. read more

My go to spot for fresh poke. Fresh ingredients, every time I go. If you love sushi or poke, you need to give this place a try. Here's what I ordered: Kahuna bowl, white rice, salmon/tuna, topping ingredients: everything! Lols, also added some avacado. Sauces: spicy aioli and samurai. You can really taste the freshness in the fish, and ingredients. The crunch from the fried onions, sweetness from the aioli sauce. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go for a bowl of poke. I like going to this location a bit better than downtown because of parking. The downtown is just as good but a bit further away for me. Either way give it a try! read more

I'm a huge fan of Poke! I'm thrilled to see more poke restaurants opening. I was very excited to give this place a try tonight for dinner. It's super cute inside very clean but small. I decided to get my meal to go. When I arrived I was greeted immediately with a very enthusiastic aloha! The man behind the counter asked me if it was my first time and seeing that it was he explained the menu to me. They have three different sizes you can choose from and three signature bowls. Otherwise it's basically a build a bowl. One thing I was absolutely thrilled about is that you can choose cauliflower rice instead of regular rice. I'm not a fan of rice so I prefer usually ordering mixed greens as my bottom. So it was nice to try something different. I was pretty hungry so I decided to get the largest bowl. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach! I also decided to build my own and I got a half salmon and half tuna along with cucumber, jalapeños, seaweed salad, onions, scallions, ginger and tobiko. The sauces I chose were spicy aoli and wasabi. I couldn't wait to get home and try it! This was an absolutely fantastic poke bowl! I'm so excited I have a new place very close to where I live. Owner is the absolute sweetest! Gave us free water bottles and took the time to stop by our table and chat with us. As for the food - you can opt for a pick-your-own-ingredients kind of bowl or choose one of their pre-made options. I got the crunch bowl with ahi tuna and it was delicious! Perfectly saucy with fresh-tasting fish. My only complaint is I wish the portion size of the fish was bigger--the ahi tuna was cut into tiny cubes and there weren't that many scattered through my bowl. (But maybe fish is expensive here in Wisconsin, idk I'm from California). read more

Aloha Poke kept a it simple and makes it easy for first time Poke experience. They offer three main bowls that you can pick from or make your own. I recommend the Crunch Bowl. Simply put, it is delicious. They offer extra protein which really helps fill you up. I enjoy my poke with extra crunch.
