Thursday evening we wanted to have a chill dinner, didn't want to get too fancy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was perfect! It was super chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not busy on a Thursday evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was soo nice and on top of it!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's super cute decor and art on the walls. Loved it! They have anime playing on 3 different tvs![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried their house sale and it was good. We were there during happy hour so we took advantage of the buy one get one app 1/2 price off. We had the drunken mussels and birria bao. I wasn't too impressed with the birria bao, but loved the mussels!!! I had kimchi ramen and the boyfriend had seafood ramen. We both ate it all up it was so yummy!! I can't complain about a bit of it. It's a large portion so you can take some home too!! We added the black garlic but I wasn't impressed and found it tasting and feeling like just charred garlic instead of actual black garlic or fermented garlic. I guess I wasn't sure what to expect but I wouldn't add it again. Lastly we did get to try the Fire sushi roll and this was the absolute highlight of the meal for me! I loved it so much I had to bring another roll home with me! I couldn't get enough!!! i would visit this place again. It was fun, delicious and chill.

Food Service 4/5 Location 4/5 Firstly I'm from the coast where good ramen places are a plenty. This really fell flat. Ramen - I built my own ramen with pork, tonkatsu base, regular ramen noodles. Broth was super bland. Egg was cooked properly but not seasoned at all. Cuts of meat were too thick and overcooked. Random shanghai tips that didn't go well at all with the ramen. And really how this was put together really isn't ramen. Tempura shrimp - super oily, tempura definitely not done traditionally. But overall taste was ok Mochi ice cream - stay away lol. Especially the mango - tasted super artificial. Black sesame was a little better but still too sweet. On top of that they put whipped cream and sprinkles..they did end up giving it to me for free and called it a birthday deal which I appreciated because this was quite a disgrace for mochi ice cream.. Service could have been more attentive. I was waiting around for quite a bit to refill water and get my check. Located downtown so you know parking will be difficult. Not a problem walking of course.

My office has overlooked this spot for the last five years and I never made it in. FINALLY a co-worker suggested it for lunch, and I'm so glad they did. While the prices felt a little steep at first, especially as it was my first time at a true ramen place, the amount and quality you get makes it more than worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes inside are also fun, with lots of decor on the walls, fun music, and an open layout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was super helpful in explaining the flavors and options, and I went with a classic chicken ramen and left stunned. It was creamy and delicious, nothing like my 50 cent ramen I make at home. The portion size was huge, the greens cooked but not soggy, and I loved it. I still had leftovers and they kindly packaged them up for me, and I swear the cold ramen leftovers were almost better than the hot and fresh. I cannot wait to try more from them and explore the world of ramen!

    - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good food, good service, good ambiance[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - No reservation made, we didn't need one but next time I would make one - Mmm yeah we would come back We were feeling a soupy mood, and this place hit the spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was great atmosphere with the decor and anime/kpop on the screens and the staff was very friendly![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had gotten the Birria Ramen which was an interesting combo. It was a good soup with lots of spice and nice pieces of meat and texture from the radish slices on top. There was also a slice of lime which added some nice acidity to the soup to helped it from feeling too heavy. While this is not something I would have normally ordered, it was still good, but I am looking forward to a more ~traditional~ bowl next time. Pookie had gone that traditional route and gotten the Beef Ramen. This was a nice bowl of ramen that I wish I had gotten as well! The soup base was nice and flavorful, and the noodles had a great texture to them. The variety of toppings were great in adding texture and flavor, especially the bok choy and corn, and both of our eggs were cooked well. Will say the beef did not taste very "beefy" and was a bit reminiscent of ham in terms of looks and sweet flavor. The food and staff were great, so this is something to look forward to when we are craving a nice hot bowl of ramen. For some comments, service kind of took long to take our order and food to come out, but I did overhear something about new hires, so that may be why. Outside of the restaurant, the website seems to be a bit dated, as it does not have the Birria Ramen on the menu, and the reservation feature was not working on my phone. Looking forward to the next visit!

Craft your own ramen with black garlic and shoyu base (took a few bites before the photo was taken)

10/10 best ramen in Milwaukee and I'll argue that till I die. Get the craft your own - pork - shoyu - classic noodle - add black garlic - add some spice if you're feeling adventurous. The only thing I'll order there and it's amazing every time. I don't know what they do with the mushrooms but I have yet to find another restaurant with as tasty of mushrooms in their ramen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is always great and it's a fun vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't sing Artisan Ramen's praises enough.

Came in for a solo dinner and enjoyed a seat at the bar. The bartender seemed to be training but she was so friendly and attentive. I tried the kimchi ramen with tofu and it's among the top ramen I've ever had! I ordered level 2 spicy and wow it had some heat! The broth was flavorful, the noodles perfectly cooked and the toppings high quality. A little light on protein if I had to be critical but with definitely order this dish again. I also tried the mochi which was a nice way to end the meal.

Stopped by this place before a concert at the Pabst theater. It was a nice cool fall night so opt for ramen. We were seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't too busy for a Tuesday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the crab ragoons as the appetizer. A little small for $8 but still good. I got the creamy chicken ramen with level 1 spice. Very good. Wil have to try others on the menu.

Food was amazing! Great and quick service. Main bartender was attentive & made conversation

    Curry Ramen

Honestly the ramen was just nasty. The beef they use tastes like literal teriyaki beef jerky. The corn threw me completely off and it he broth wasn't even hot. The curry tasted like Goya Adobo with chicken bullion (something I could've made at home). Just not tasty and basically left full bowl. Shouldn't have trusted a place that closes at 2pm just to reopen at 5pm. Edit : my boyfriend and I both have good poisoning now. This was the ONLY thing we ate. Smh

Recommended by the hotel bartender, arrived 30 min prior to closure. Immediate seating at the bar, not too busy given time of day. Had the tempura shrimp, great, fluffy, crispy batter with a perfectly salty dip. For ramen, did build your own tonkatsu with shoyu base, overall good. The pork or mushrooms had something sweet on them which was unexpected. If not for the overly sweet bites, would have been great. Would recommend. If I am in the area again, with tey the chicken. Service was quick, responsive. They automatically added an 18% gratuity for a single person, so be pay attention when you recieve your bill.

I was in the mood for some ramen one night, and this place wasn't too far away, so my husband and I stopped in. The menu is pretty big featuring a variety of dishes for all appetites, including a couple options of ramen and a build your own option. We ordered a spicy tuna roll as an appetizer, since its our favorite roll to judge a restaurant. I wont consider this a place to go for sushi, but it wasnt bad, it could use a little more spice. We also ordered a build your own ramen bowl and a beef ramen with level 2 spice. I am not a big ramen connoisseur but I found my build your own bowl pretty good. I ordered a tofu, miso base, and rice noodle, with the essentials. Though our waitress/bartender was new she was able to go through the menu with us and help us with any questions we had. We did originally come in for a table, but it was a 10 minute wait at the time so we opted for the bar. We were helped right away and all the food came out pretty quick! The TVs had anime and Nightmare Before Christmas playing. There is a lot of fun décor and specials displayed throughout. I loved the aprons/bibs for those that may need it when enjoying their ramen. I enjoyed my ramen and would definitely stop in again!

If you are celiac or gluten-free, I don't recommend ever eating here. While they have a dedicated gluten-free menu with options for changing things out, on two separate occasions (of the 4 times I've been there) they've made a mistake. It puts you in a challenging and uncomfortable situation when you are curious about something actually being gluten-free. I know for myself, you don't want to insinuate that you don't trust your server! My most recent visit there I had the shittake/vegetable Ramen with rice noodles. I explained that I can't have soy sauce because it contains wheat. I explained that if they have tamari that they could check if it is wheat free because I often can have tamari instead of soy sauce. I explained that I can't have anything that contains wheat. My server informed me that she would make sure that this was gluten-free, that the rice noodles would be replacing the Ramen noodles. While eating I was curious if the noodles were not gluten-free, and I was informed that they do seem to be rice noodles. We were also sure to order the tofu as steamed rather than fried so that it would not have cross-contamination. (Due to first glutened experience) Later that night and the following day I can report that what I ate was not in fact, rice noodles or gluten free, and I have been glutened. On a previous occasion, I ordered the fresh spring rolls with a sauce that I was informed was gluten-free with tofu. While already eating this, the server came over and informed me that the tofu was not gluten-free, and had been fried. I think that there may be some lack of understanding what gluten-free means and how it impacts people generally in most of the food service industry. I believe they did their best to try to accommodate. That being said if you are celiac or gluten intolerant, please steer clear! Very unfortunate because it was tasty. I understand that as someone who needs to eat gluten-free that I am taking a risk by eating at a restaurant that is not gluten-free forward. Although they have a dedicated allergy menu, two out of the four times I've eaten there it hasn't made a difference. Great restaurant, not great for celiac.

But luckily my husband quickly checked well before we were served and saw there were reservations available online, so he booked us one on the spot. We were then given two excuses, one by the bartender and a different one by the host as to why they couldn't honor the reservation: (1) there were no tables available for us (note the place was half empty, but we supposed maybe there were lots of reservations coming later--nope, the place was still half full by the time we left); (2) we had to make the reservations 30-40 minutes in advance and we didn't do that so even though we did have a reservation, they couldn't honor it because we made it too soon to the reservation time (WOW--complete BS). We were peeved but decided we should just enjoy our dinner. BUT as we were finishing up, about 5 couples came in WITHOUT a reservation and both the host and the bartender gave each couple the option to either sit at the bar or at a table. When I confronted the bartender about it, she claimed "they weren't supposed to do that." WHAT?! She literally just offered a couple a table without a reservation. What do you mean?! It was insulting. Anyway, we will absolutely NEVER come back here. The tip we left was solely for the kitchen staff who were hard at work and doing an honest job. Bartender and hosts are discriminatory and awful. Do NOT recommend if you are looking to be treated with respect. Would give zero stars if that were an option.
