The inside and outside were very cozy. The workers their are very attentive to their customers. The edamame and sampler was enough for 2 people on date or hanging out.

Rice N Roll has been hit or miss for me lately. I recently ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Beef fried rice and I really did not like the beef, it was chewy and I didn't eat it.

I highly recommend the lunch special at rice n roll! For $15 you can pick two rolls from a select list and pick a soup or salad starter. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Our server was quick and friendly. I also appreciated the murals that were new from the last time I visited.

This is a fun place. Reminds me of some really great fun sushi restaurants I've been to in other parts of the country. It was pretty busy on a Friday night at 7pm. We came after visiting one of the nearby breweries. We were seated right away at the bar. I had a glass of the Black River sake and my boyfriend tried the Blossom of Peace. His was much sweeter and I was very happy with mine. They weren't served in traditional sake cups, just in regular wine glasses but this was good with me as they were a normal sized wine pour. They had a special for Bluefin Tuna. We shared the Nigiri trio by cutting each piece in half. My favorites were the two fattier cuts ( otoro, and chutoro ) I remember at this point we wished we had ordered another appetizer since the restaurant was busy and our main sushi rolls took a bit of time to arrive. We decided next time we would at least get the edamame in between plates. The rolls we ordered were the Ponzu Jello and Riverwest. The Riverwest description listed a smoky miso mayo which I did not notice a different from regular flavored mayo on a roll. The Ponzu Jello was unique and worth trying! The rolls were fat and very filling so we did not need to order more than two! I think we both agreed that the Riverwest roll was our favorite of the two. After that we noticed there was a special for some premium sake, so we ordered the G Joy. Very delicious, easy to drink and a perfect size to share. I will add this restaurant to my places to visit again!

One of my top 5 favorite restaurants in Milwaukee, with a fusion of Asian flavors: Thai, Japanese, etc. my go-to dish is the Duck Curry, and the Green salad is an great compliment because the Ginger dressing is sublime. On the weekends, they had a great sashimi platter, as well. The ambiance is cute and I love the paintings around the restaurant. Always packed, so get there early at 4:30pm when they open.

Rice N Roll is our favorite sushi spot in Milwaukee so far. Every roll was a hit! My favorite was probably the shrimp tempura (lame I know) but it was so flavorful and the eel sauce on it was perfect. David's favorite was the Dragon followed by the Clumsy Bueno. His least favorite was the crunchy California because he wasn't the biggest fan of how the outside was warm and inside was a little mushy. However, I really enjoyed it!! Overall, we really enjoyed Rice N Roll and will definitely be back the next time we are craving sushi! We left completely stuffed.

My friend and I decided to try Rice N Roll for a recent lunch outing. The restaurant is fairly small, but they do offer outdoor seating in the summer. The service was attentive. I think our server was in training or training someone else, but it didn't affect anything. We'd eaten at Kin by Rice N Roll in the past and really enjoyed the food. Rice N Roll to me was not quite as good or as on point. My salad was served in a small, high bowl and it was really hard to eat. The cucumber slices in it were enormous and with no knife, awkward. My sushi was good overall, but my futomaki roll wasn't rolled tight enough, which made it fall apart and again, hard to eat. My friend enjoyed her bento box, which she had with chicken pad thai. The amount of food was generous and she even had leftovers. I will certainly be back to try the main menu.

The teriyaki chicken is always so fulfilling with the vegetables and rice. The eggrolls were tasty too. Perfect crunch and the center was not mushy. I loveddddd the edamame. I was my first time having it and I will eat it for the rest of my life. It tastes like a french fry with all the salt but it's a fresh pop of green. I might even try the spicy version next time. The server brought full water cups at the beginning and left us the water so we could pour it ourselves. The music made me feel like going to the club hangover a Saturday morning LOL

Have enjoyed everything I have tried here! Place is a little smaller on the inside but well worth any wait. Employees are friendly and food is delicious!

Not only is the interesting melding of Japanese and Thai cuisine done MOST EXCELLENTLY the room is modern, clean and well appointed. The service is also friendly and efficient. We've been enjoying eating here for 10 years and it's been amazing every single time.

Ordered a variety of food with some friends for takeaway. I cannot speak to the establishment itself, but the carry out process was smooth and quick. The restaurant is on the smaller side and was a bit crowded when we picked up our food on a week night. There are a couple tables outside when the weather is nice. We ordered pad Thai, a green salad with ginger dressing, a classy Cali roll, mantou, rice and roll dumplings, pad see eiw, and green curry. A small feast. The pad Thai was disappointing and the classy Cali roll was mediocre, but everything else was delicious! We all thought the curry was interesting and we couldn't get enough, the mantou and dumplings were large servings and so tasty.

Absolutely fantastic, not just Sushi, but so much more than that, service, wait time and letting us lounge and relax and not feel rushed, can't wait to come back!

This place was incredible! The restaurant was small with limited seating, which I did read from other yelp reviews, so we arrived right as they opened and were able to sit down immediately. Within 20-30 minutes, the rest of the tables were filled on a Saturday night. We ordered edamame and the Flaming Tuna Crispy Rice appetizer. The Crispy rice is a fried block of rice with tuna and different sauces on top. The flavors were so delicious! Definitely recommend for something a little different. We also ordered 4 rolls - a spicy salmon, the Munchie Munchie, the Sexy Summer, and the Awesome roll. Everything was great. Not surprisingly, the spicy salmon was our least favorite, but it was also the most basic. I love it when sushi melds different flavors together and this restaurant really nailed it. I would definitely go back here!

We all happily ate more food than we should have, yet when the bill came we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price. She was able to describe how the various entries are constructed and the ingredients included. She also talked intelligently about the noodles that are made "in house" and what entries fit best with which noodles. We started with hot White tea and the shrimp tempura appetizer. The White Tea was very good, especially on this cold afternoon. (5 stars). The shrimp tempura was just okay. The breading was a bit oily and did not adhere to the shrimp. (2 1/2 Stars). I ordered the seafood Ramen and loved the flavor and the freshness of the ingredients. The Scallops were extremely good, great taste, and cooked just right. (5 Stars). Great ambiance, excellent service and a good variety menu. I'll be back for sure.

We have been to a lot of markets: Cleveland, Detroit, Charleston, Cincinnati, we lived a few blocks away from Reading in Philly for two years. But best market in the US? That's a different league. Ironically it is literally the smallest market of them all. It's almost comforting because there aren't that many things to choose from. But, disappointing at the same time. There was a lovely souvenir spot. Very small but it has some cute shit. I got a shirt. GF got a sweatshirt. We then got coffee. There was a long line. That felt like a good sign. I got the nutty pedestrian which was good. GF got a frosty something. As a whore for anything mint flavored, I was expecting this to knock it out of the park but it wasn't as minty or as sweet as I would have preferred. Next, we went for the candy place and bakery. I was disappointed to not see one Kringle in this place. Oh well. The gigantic cookies would have to suffice. We got regular chocolate chip, oatmeal chocolate chip, and a Wisconsin something or other. The Wisconsin something or other had like walnuts, craisins, and chocolate chips. Delicious. The standard chocolate chip was fantastic as well. The candy was really good too. Finally, we topped everything off with empanadas which were spectacular. I reviewed that separately. Surprisingly small but a lot of value squeezed into the square footage.
