They're advertising first month free, but I guess my unit doesn't qualify? Anyway, Joe was helpful in walking me through signing the paperwork (not a contract but you still have to give them your license and sign a "contract." Not a true contract, as it's month-to-month). I did read a review which wasn't happy about the clause in this paperwork which states Extra Storage has the right to change the price at their discretion/to reflect the market, basically. But it says a 30 day notice is given. I'll keep a watch on that and keep y'all informed because I did find other storage places around here that have competitive pricing. Pricing wise, for my 5x10 unit as of right now (unless they raise my price) I'm paying $47/month + $11 for insurance. I did discuss having my renter's cover the unit instead but the pricing was about the same so I went with Extra's (it covers flood and pest). The first month costed me $100 because they add a $24 administration fee and I bought the cylinder lock for $17 from them as well. I have high hopes that I will be happy with Extra Storage, the location is close. The front entrance has construction so you have to pass in front of all those hotels. Which is fine by me. The back entry is easy to access as well. There's locks and gates so people can't just get inside the property without a code. I'll update my reviews as needed so y'all can know if this will work for your needs. Joe, thanks again for helping me out!

This is more of a review of the company rather than this one particular location…read more We have been renting the same unit for several years now, but in the last few years, and more so since Public Storage took over the location from All Storage, our rent has more than doubled, from the original $199 to now $450 per month. The property manager acts as if her hands are tied, except for putting in a REQUEST for a temporary rate reduction to the previous amount, with no guarantee that it will be approved. The company has no centralized customer support, as their multiple phone numbers we have found all automatically refer you to the phone tree for the location of your unit, and the only option to speak with a person is to speak to the property manager, who may or may not be available to take your call. Bottom line, I will NEVER rent a storage unit with Public Storage again, no matter the location, and if they take over a property where my stuff is stored, I will relocate it again.

They offer a fully stocked convenience store with snacks, drinks, and alcoholic beverages. They have clean and private bath houses. Laundry rooms, a swimming pool, and also on-site propane. Personally, one of my favorite things about this place is the drinking water they have. It's a five stage filtration system that dispenses water by the gallon. I usually come here to fill up my 18 gallons of water bi-weekly, and I never had an issue paying with credit cards or cash and coins. The water tastes clean and crisp, and the pump dispenses fast. They also sell ice here as well. The customer service is great and friendly, and I'm always greeted when arriving. This is a must stop for your gallon of water needs, and it's especially convenient when living in the surrounding neighborhoods.

We arrived and my husband went into the office to check in but this time was asked what the breed of our dog is, he answered Alapaha. He was asked how to spell the breed and she looked up the breed then told us we lied and couldn't stay because the breed is allegedly made of a mix of pit bull. They cancelled us but didn't give us a full refund. This is the 2nd problem we've had here. During our stay in December 2024, my aunt came to pick me up. My aunt is an experienced RV traveler having made regular RV trips since the 1970's with her last trip about 17 years ago. I exited my rv, took 2 steps and a golf cart came screaming up to me. The female (most polite word I can attribute to this person) tells me my aunt was speeding and she needed to drive the speed limit. I responded with I doubt that and female was just rude and argumentative. Let me say, I was pissed about both incidents especially being denied in October and having to scramble to find a place to go before dark. Thankfully we did. Texan used to be a nice place to stay but things have drastically changed. I'm sure people will still give business to this place. You'll be treated ok until you're nitpicked or just flat out refused to be checked in. Stay here at your own risk.
