What concerned me is that the staff stated they could not provide the prices of the DHPP or rabies vaccines over the phone. They said I would have to come in and pay the consultation fee first before they could tell me how much the vaccines cost. This policy doesn't make sense to me, as vaccine prices are basic, standard information that most clinics are willing to provide upfront. It gives the impression that the clinic wants customers to come in first, possibly to justify higher or unexpected charges. As a pet owner trying to budget responsibly, this lack of transparency is very disappointing.

She was returned to me with the sloppiest suture job I've ever seen on man or beast. As a result, part of her gut and inner abdomen wall was visible . Upon closer inspection it was clear that the suturing was not done by an educated and trained Doctor - no exaggeration - the belly of this beautiful dog looked like a loosely basted turkey. I immediately turned and asked the receptionist to speak with the Doctor and found out that the Doctor wasn't in and wouldn't be available to answer questions. In the end, I took the dog to the next town over to meet with a trusted vet that maintained all of our dogs until we moved away. After a thorough exam it was determined that the suturing techniques were not that of someone trained at any veterinarian college anywhere in the USA. The sutures were removed and the dog was re-sutured properly by our trusted vet.

They took care of my dogs' vaccinations with no problems, and the staff was efficient and caring throughout the process. Transparency and good customer service are hard to find, and The Weekend Vet delivered both. This is officially my new veterinary home.

(I have medical records that verify this.) They kept her all day and when I picked her (after paying over $1000), she was overly sedated and could not walk, eat nor urinate for 24 hours. The wound opened up later that evening despite minimal movement on her part. (See photo). I took her to another veterinarian who repaired the damage and my greyhound was alert and awake within the hour, for less than $100. Lopez has not passed any exam that allows him to be a certified veterianian technician, much less a veterinarian in the United States. His title should be assistant technician with restricted responsibility.
