The food has been consistently outstanding every time we've visited. The menu offers a great variety, and watching the pizza chef work the wood-fired oven is part of the experience. The pizzas are fantastic, and their wine list has plenty of excellent options, whether you're ordering by the glass or bottle. Service has always been exceptional, and this last visit was no different. Adison took amazing care of us throughout the evening. She was warm, fun, professional, and genuinely made our celebratory dinner feel special. This was our sixth visit to Ferro, which probably says everything you need to know. My husband and I shared a BLT, and it was shockingly small. The bacon tasted like microwave bacon, not freshly cooked, and it came with a tiny cup of potato salad and one small slice of watermelon. The kids split a grilled cheese, another couple ordered the Monte Cristo, and the cheese wasn't even melted. We also tried the brisket "special," which was disappointing and low quality. When the bill came out, we were honestly stunned. The total was $181 for very small portions and mediocre food. Then we noticed they had automatically added a 23% "large party" fee... for 4 adults and 2 kids. That alone added over $30 to the bill. To make matters worse, we asked if they could split the check between couples and were told they couldn't. Probably because they wouldn't be able to charge us the large party fee! After we questioned the charges, the manager/owner conveniently disappeared after printing the receipt instead of addressing the issue. This place feels like it's taking advantage of tourists. Poor quality food, inflated prices, hidden fees, and bad customer service. Steer clear.

I don't know if there was a marinade preparation (sesame paste?) with the tofu, or it was made locally, or both, but this firm tofu was excellent. Sweet. Nutty. Salty. Fresh tasting and filling. The vegan menu here isn't just an "alternate version" of an omnivore dish. It is its own thing. DESSERT MISTAKE = not getting it. We thought there would be dessert in town, but we got out late. Town had closed. MUSIC Tonight's music was a pair of musicians playing CS&N, Neil Young, Bob Seger... acoustic session: Guitar, Violin, Mandolin.
