Speakeasy in a classic steakhouse. Seems to be a spot great for locals or tourists. Drinks were amazing, and the bartenders were very knowledgeable. There's outdoor space for larger parties, but the indoor space is very intimate and just what you're looking for in a Speakeasy bar.

Very nice speakeasy spot in the Mr. Lyons steakhouse. Stopped by after dinner at Mr. Lyons as it was my last night from out of town. There was seating at the bar and additional seating inside and outside patio. The scenery was dark with dimmed lighting. The bartenders (2 that night) were busy but very courteous. I ordered a lemon drop martini and it was really good.

Make a stop if you're looking for a good mix. Love the vibe and look of it all at Seymour's !

Popped in after dinner in a Friday hoping it wouldn't be too busy. Luckily our group of 4 was able to get a table with just a few minutes wait. The interior was very intimate - definitely a good date night spot. The outdoor patio looked nice as well, but that's for another time when it's not so hot out. Everyone got something different - wine, beer, and an old fashioned, and I got the Northern Elixir off their cocktail menu. My husband said the old fashioned was good, and I enjoyed my drink as well. Service was good, but not great. She didn't check on us until we were about done; however, she was friendly. Overall, a great after dinner experience, and I would return!

Seymour's has been on my list for a while; how extremely fortunate we visited when we did, as (who I'll describe as) "Master Mixologist" Erica was behind the bar (with assistant, Jade)! Erica is perhaps the most passionate and skilled bartender we've experienced; her enthusiasm in creating custom cocktails is infectious... and we delighted in being able to sample her creations, which were both attractive and tasty! As first-timers, Erica knows how to make one feel valued and special -- even as the crowd grew in this dimly-lit, intimate bar. Thinking that we'd be in for just a drink or two, can't believe we stayed as long as we did, enjoying more drinks than planned as well as the fun energy among the other guests that evening! Definitely a favorite spot; we're now going to be regulars when in the desert. My concern (as Yelpers who gave low ratings have reported) is highly anticipating a visit only to find it closed. Fun and wonderful find!

This speakeasy inside of Mr. Lyons is a great spot to start your evening. The cocktails are good and the dark vibe makes it special. We had great service, too. It's tiny so expect to wait for a spot if you come at prime time. Ask the hostess at Mr. Lyons where to go so you don't end up just at the ordinary bar and can instead experience this hidden treasure.

What a great spot! Bartender was amazing, drinks were amazing and the vibes were on point! We will be back!

It wasn't a speakeasy but more of a back room behind a curtain. We didn't stay. It was crowded and not particularly special.

One of the reasons I keep coming back is the availability of private dining rooms that are conveniently located near the main dining area. If you're planning a group dinner meeting, just be aware that the sliding doors don't completely block out the noise from the dining room, so conversations may not be as secluded as you'd expect. That said, the food is consistently outstanding. The heirloom tomato salad is an absolute must-order. The crème fraîche dressing is incredible. Pro tip: save some bread to soak up every last bit of it. For the main course, the mesquite-smoked carne asada is exceptional. The meat is cooked perfectly, and the combination of pinto beans, ranchera sauce, and slightly sweet corn pudding creates a balanced and memorable dish. The portions are thoughtfully sized! Satisfying without leaving you feeling overly full. And whatever you do, don't skip dessert. They're all worth trying, but the macchiato cake is the standout and the perfect way to end the meal. Whether you're meeting clients, celebrating a special occasion, or simply enjoying a night out, Eight4Nine delivers excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a dining experience that keeps me coming back.

The building is large, bright, and nicely decorated. Its history is interesting. I was told that first it was the US Post Office. Then a furniture store. For the last ten-plus years, it has been Eight4Nine. Tonight, I started with the Ahi Tuna Poke. It was really fresh with a nice blend of Asian flavors. Nicely chilled, it was perfect for a hot night. My entree was the delicious Carne Asada. The skirt steak was sliced thin and it had a smokey hardwood grilled flavor to it. The refried pinto beans were a nice complement to the meal. My wine, a Chenin Blanc was crisp and fruity also perfect for a hot weather night. Eight4Nine is a great addition to the many delicious restaurants in Palm Springs.

The music and overall energy were great, and the club was packed well beyond the 50 plus guests we brought into the reserved section. It felt lively, celebratory, and like exactly the kind of place you want for a wedding after party. The staff was welcoming, service was strong, and the atmosphere carried the night forward in a really fun way. My friend and I asked for service 3 times and never received it. We had a reservation, let him know and he escorted us to our table (after half of us paid the $30 knocked down to $20 admission fee for a live performance that never happened) we get to our table and the waitress finally came over after we were seated, asked me what I wanted to drink since we had a reservation made. I asked for the $100 we spent in admission to be put towards the bottle. Staff said yes that was fine. Asked us what mixers we wanted, I said pineapple and cranberry, they brought us 1 pineapple and 1 orange. The waitress took my card and asked me what I wanted the sign to say, walked away and literally never came back to our table. Until wayyyy later. We were seated for over an hour and all we had was juice. I booked this table on April 11th. Also all the MEN were upstairs on elevated surfaces like a bunch of BITCHES. literally like a middle school dance with all the girls on one side and the boys on the other. We booked this place bc we saw it was highly recommended but it was NOT fun at ALL. They wasted our money and our time. I recommend chill bar over copa. The bachelor group that came in WAY after us was immediately served with their sign and drinks. Apparently you have to be a male to get attention. We literally never saw our waitress again until we deadass chased her down. Fake Blonde hair, fake blue eye contacts. There were 2 other bachelorette groups in the building that left within the time span we did because it was such a terrible time. Some random man stepped into our section & put his empty drinks on our table as if there wasn't as entire bar for him to bring his empty cups to. Disrespectful. There was also a crew filming in the section next to us, smoking some sort of blunt/cigarillo inside. We had a much better time at chill bar.

The two-top table near the bar, with mustard-fabric lounge chairs on low spindled "moon-lander" inspired supports seem to have jumped right out of a 60's time machine, matching the retro vibe in the whole place. Our server was delightful, regaling us with her informative descriptions of her favorite dishes... it's fabulous when a server knows the menu so well that they can describe not only what's in the dish, but why it's so good. Cocktails were an obvious strength, and after my first choice, the pear-inspired Akita was regrettably "out of stock" (she informed us that they had run out of the fresh pear syrup they make by hand each day), I was steered to the It's Giving Julius. This boozy take on the classic Orange Julius, with a mouth-watering egg-white-textured foam floating on rum-infused a citrus blast. For Gayle, it was a moment to savor the non-alcoholic "Clutch Your Pearls," complete with boba pearls atop an icy lime-green concoction. The entire restaurant is themed on "American comfort food with an Asian twist." And let me say, they nailed it in every aspect. My bowl of Tteokbokk was a brilliant spin on a classic Rigatoni bowl, subbing Korean rice cakes for pasta and gochujang spiked tomato sauce for marinara, but keeping the rich parmesan/mozzerella cheese. At the server's suggestion, I topped it with fried pork belly, well executed and delicious, the entire bowl was light with an arrabiatta-like kick. My wife had the Garlic Noodles... imagine a creamy bowl of chicken noodle casserole straight out of the 60's, but without a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken in sight. Velvety sauce glazed perfectly cooked Ramen noodles with vegetables and chicken... took her right back to her mother's kitchen where the same dish was the perfect remedy for the flu - comforting and scrumptuous without being too heavy. And finally having not overstuffed ourselves on this trip, we opted for the "poor life choice" of dessert. And after asking for the "simple plate of milk and cookies," the server corrected me and stated - rightly so - that this was anything but simple. Three stuffed cookies: Red Velvet with cheesecake cream, S'mores with marshmellow, and cinnamon filled Churro - nuggets from Heaven's bakery, with a glass of cold milk. We managed to finish it and roll on out full of some of the best food we've had this year. The only minor hiccup was when trying to buy merch on our way out, the front stand didn't have a terminal to let us pay, so we had to seek out a bartender to run our credit card (and they were super busy). A minor complaint in the grand scheme... get those hosts a card reader! Note: We didn't see a single dog in the place... but they clearly are welcome to 4-legged clientele. Such a fun spot.

We were taken to our table roughly 10-15 minutes after our reservation, which was perfectly fine. When we were seated, we decided on appetizers to order. Our waiter came over and we put in our appetizer order, but said we'd like more time to decide on main courses. The appetizers came out very slowly, and we were then told that one of the orders (the ube focaccia) had run out, so we could get regular focaccia instead, which we did not want to do. Two orders of tuna tacos were brought to our table but we had only ordered one, and on the receipt they made it look as though they "comped" the second order (which was taken back once they realized we hadn't ordered it). We didn't get to order our main dishes for quite some time, and then it took ages for the dishes to come out. They were tasty, but we were getting to the point that we were ready to go home if the food didn't come out within the next few minutes. Once the mains did arrive, my friend asked if there is any rice we could order, and our waiter said yes, but they had just run out. We found this very odd - ube focaccia is one thing, but who runs out of rice? My husband ordered a beer which was never brought to him, and upon getting the bill, my friend said that we didn't receive one of our drinks. The waiter then said "yeah, I forgot about it. But don't worry, it's not on the receipt." Again, strange. Our waiter seemed very disengaged and unapologetic, which I found odd. I can understand that he was busy, but to not apologize for forgetting the drink, running out of one of our appetizers, running out of rice, and waiting a very long time for our dinner seemed strange. Plus, the food was quite expensive (and the portions were relatively small), so it felt especially bizarre that the service was so off. I wouldn't come back because of the service and the price for the portions, but the food did taste very good. I'm disappointed because I wanted to love it here!

If you can't get a reservation, bar seats are first come, first served, and I can see why people line up for them. That said, much of the food was excellent. The Duck Liver Pâté was incredible, and the Red Thai Curry Mussels were unique without overwhelming heat. The Cacio e Pepe was one of the standout dishes of the week. Those thick noodles were fantastic. We also ordered the Steak Frites and upgraded to filet. Unfortunately, it came out overcooked, and I asked for it to be removed from the check. On the other hand, the Smoked Bone-In Duroc Pork Chop was perfectly prepared and incredibly moist. Dessert finished strong. The Aniston's Pavlova was excellent, especially the Chantilly cream. The warm chocolate chip cookies were delicious too, although $15 for cookies is definitely a Palm Springs moment. Pricey? Very. Worth experiencing? Absolutely.
