Likely the best tiki bar in all of Palm Springs! I loved our little night cap at Bootlegger tiki. Arrived at around 9pm on a Sunday and there were only a few other folks on there, great for a little romantic date night. Staff here were so sweet. Can I just say the Customer Service in Palm Springs is unmatched? Bootlegger tiki, just like everywhere in Palm Springs was so great. We felt completely comfortable and happy. The drinks were awesome! Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Great little evening at Bootlegger tiki! We absolutely fell in love with Palm Springs, so we will absolutely be back and of course visit Bootlegger tiki when we do!

Good: drink flavor. And.....they were pretty and unique . Meh: some liquid with the ice would be awesome. Proportion issues. Huh: you had to check for reservations but um....there were only two other people in the whole place. Also, everyone prefers a booth to a high top table.....we got the crappy spot. Thanks for the pretty drinks, I think I need to see other people though.

Second time visiting. Love this place! Every drink is full of dimension. Staff is friendly and helpful. Best tiki bar.

Night of tiki bar fun! This was our favorite tiki bar out of our trip to Palm Springs. We sat at the bar and had a great time talking with everyone. Drinks were great and so were the vibes.

This is the best tiki bar in town. MAYBE THE WORLD. Experienced bartenders, friendly service, creative and well balanced cocktails. You can go tropical, but if you want a traditional old fashioned, Manhattan, or even a vodka/soda, they do that too! The place is small and intimate, kinda like a 'tiki speakeasy'. Reservations ARE recommended, especially if you'd like to sit at the bar. Otherwise, the staff will do their best to get you seated on the patio or elsewhere. There's no food, but you're downtown so there are plenty of options elsewhere. Let the bartenders make something up for you! Ask for a 'dealers choice'.

To me this place is a Tiki Speakeasy. Very vintage Polynesian decor. Love it! Small bar area seating and most seating is outside. Our server was friendly and we enjoyed Rum Runners. Nice and strong drinks. Happy Hour is 1 hour and only drinks served here. No food. Have a good time!

Tasty Drinks, ambience, friendly bartenders despite- this was such a worthwhile visit. My coworker (David) told me that he checked it out the day before and the drinks were amazing... So I went back on this day and it definitely checked all the boxes. Dave, the bartender, was really charismatic and, since I sat at the bar, he made sure my new friend (also David) had a great time. Happy birthday, Dave!

Bootlegger Tiki is a great little tiki bar in downtown Palm Springs. There is no parking lot, but there was plenty of street parking when we arrived at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. Inside, there are four booths, about six spots at the main bar, and an extra two seats adjacent to the bar. There is also an outside patio with a good amount of seating. I would definitely recommend calling ahead of time to make a reservation so that you are guaranteed a quick seat since it is a small place. We sat inside in one of the comfy booths. All of the table lamps have a red bulb as well as the puffer fish lighting above. I didn't want to kill the vibe with flash photography which is why most of my pictures have a red hue. The main bar is the only spot that has some dim white lighting. There is a lot of great tiki décor and the vibe is excellent. I started with Blackbeard's Booty. With blackberry and raspberry liquors, I thought it might be a fruit bomb but those flavors were more in the background and it was a great balanced drink. The Thai Iced Tea is served in a takeout box and was another great drink. You could definitely taste the macadamia nut liquor in the background which was nice. The Rhubarbie was definitely interesting with a lot of complexity. No Photos Allowed and Me Tarzan You Jane (pretty strong) were two more excellent drinks. You know you are in a great tiki bar when their original creations have a unique blend of interesting liquors and they all have complexity. If you are less adventurous and prefer classic tiki drinks, those are also on the menu also. The drinks came out pretty quick since it was a slower weeknight. Our server Melissa was awesome. She was very friendly and attentive, and answered a lot of questions about the cocktails. I said that we were in town for a few days and she even suggested a few other places that we might enjoy.

A truly unique experience for creative cocktails in the Coachella Valley! Once you enter this place, the inside of the bar is tiny but it is intricately decorated to transport you to a tropical getaway. The well mixed and strong cocktails are a crowd pleaser even for the pickiest people! Drinks (5+/5) Usually tiki bars are gimmicky and have poorly mixed cocktails that do not strike a balance that is palatable; however, this place is able to balance the flavors for each cocktail while making some strong drinks! I ordered the cobra bite and it sure packed a punch! There's a limit of 1 of these per person and it's for a good reason because you'll probably need to Uber home. While this drink was definitely strong with a heavy rum flavor, the other components of the drink were well balanced to mitigate the heavy alcohol taste. You could definitely drink two of these drinks and probably pass out. My friend ordered the painkiller cocktail and thought it was also a well balanced drink but on the lighter side for the alcohol component. Atmosphere (4.75/5) The inside of this bar is dark, moody, and transports you back into an old school tropical paradise. Since there's not many tiki bars still open, I would definitely suggest to check out this place because the vibes are immaculate. While this place is on the smaller side, there is outdoor patio seating available. Service (5/5) Upon entering, the hostess was very welcoming and accommodated our walk in without a reservation (you can make a reservation online but a 30$ holding fee is required to make your reservation). If you're visiting this bar during the peak seasons, fall, winter, or spring, I definitely suggest to make a reservation ahead of time (the bars website said the holding fee would be reimbursed after you arrive on time at the time of the reservation). The bartender was also very friendly gave recommendations for drinks and made friendly conversation with my party while sitting at the bar.

We came here on a hot summer day because our uber driver told us this was the best tiki bar in Palm Springs. Can confirm he was correct I love a yap session when i'm sitting at the bar and the staff did not disappoint. the drinks were strong (and big) and so good. they have good options if you're not in the mood for a traditional sweet tiki rum drink too. Vibes were great, would definitely come back.

Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Food: n/a Drinks: 5/5 Price: 3/5 Parking: 4/5 Came in on a Friday night (highly recommend reservations as per their website). Danny was the first person to serve us, and then Andrea and Ryan later helped us out. The Thai Iced Tiki is my husband's new favorite cocktail! The Cobra Bite was fantastic but strong, hence they only serve one per customer. The tiki theming is dialed back but still traditional. They do not serve food, so plan accordingly. Parking is free and there's a decent amount outside. Overall, I would plan to return when I'm back in town, and I'd recommend any tiki lover give this place a try!

Visiting Palm Springs for the first time, and we had to make a stop at Bootlegger for some tiki drinks, and it did not disappoint. Looking at the menu they have their own signature cocktails and classic tiki drinks. I opted for the cobra bite, which you are only allowed to order one of during your visit. Tasting it, it was definitely strong, and I definitely understand why they limit 1 per customer lol. I also tried their Thai iced tiki, which came in cute takeout box, the was tasty as well. We were a group of 9, and luckily we came at a time when they had a few tables available on the outside. It's not a huge place so I'd say it's most ideal for groups of 1-6. Overall, great drinks, fast service, and would come here again without hesitation

My favorite Palm Springs tiki bar. We took friends here this time and made a reservation for 6 at 3pm on a Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised by a happy hour on a Saturday! The POG Punch and the Beer on the HH menu are delicious. I've always enjoyed the tiki drinks, so this was a nice change of pace! The server was friendly and quick to get our orders too. My one complaint would be that it was pretttty warm inside. Not sure if there wasn't AC or it just wasn't kicking on yet, but that's the only complaint.

Keep reading that there's no air conditioning. Is this true?

There is definitely AC. And in the summer and warm months it feels great.

Is it possible for a group of 9 on a Thursday evening?

You should only go with a large size group if you have a reservation. The bar is super small.

What are the happy hour specials?

If memory serve : rum and coke and beer

    What is the parking situation?

It's a very small bar, make reservations and be there on time. There's free street parking. It's much easier to Uber or Lyft and get dropped off.

    When is happy hour?

    The website says 3-4pm.

Do you take reservations for groups larger than 6?

    Yes - they take reservations

    Is it Kid friendly?

Hi are you 18+ or 21+?

Do you have to make a reservation?

    it is not.

    Are you still open?

    Yes we are.

Any beer for sale here? Thanks

Not sure. The cocktails are amazing though.

Is this place good for large groups?

If you are able to find room outside- yes! The inside is very very small- inside is good for about a party of 4- we had 7 and had to sit outside

On weekends is there a DJ ? Looking for good drink and great music to dance to

Hi Lily, We don't have DJ here at Bootlegger, the space is way to small unfortunately!

Is this place only open to 21 and older?

No food so I would think No. but I wouldn't bring under 21. Not kid friendly. Too small and would change mood for everyone else.

QUICK TAKE Get: Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos, Grilled Chicken & Mango Salad, flatbread, burger, Key Lime Pie Skip: Coconut Shrimp Know: Ask for salad dressing on the side. They are very generous with it. This turned out to be a great casual lunch in Palm Springs. The setting is relaxed, the menu is easy to share, and there were several things I would happily order again. Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos: Probably my favorite. The mahi comes with tomato relish, chipotle aioli, island slaw, lime sour cream, fire-roasted salsa and chips. Lots of flavor without losing the fish underneath. Grilled Chicken & Mango Salad: Really good combination of grilled chicken, baby greens, feta, toasted almonds and macadamia nuts, pepitas, dried blueberries and tomatoes with a lemon basil vinaigrette. My only advice is to get the dressing on the side. They use a lot of it. Flatbread: Another solid choice for the table. Easy to share and one of those dishes that disappeared pretty quickly. All-American Burger: Simple and very good. American cheese, pickles, Tommy Spread, lettuce, tomato and onion. Nothing fancy, just well done. Key Lime Pie: Definitely save room. I have been to Zaldas nightclub years ago and it was a fun place. Anyway, looked up on Yelp and found this gem and my friend and I got excited, took an Uber and went straight to the club. We didn't have this much fun in a long time. David was very nice, kind and attentive. Since we had already eaten, we only ordered drinks. We both opted for Coconut Margarita (blended) didn't want to cross the line and get drunk. That is why we took the Uber down there. Smart idea right? Right! They have a dance floor, DJ, and live music. Also a cover charge for entrance. $10.00 which is not bad at all. Other places charge way more..Can't comment on the food, since we didn't eat there. The minute I came back from the restroom to my seat, this lovely elderly gentlemen invited me to dance. Since he was more like my friend's age, she thought that he was about to ask her to dance.. Place was very clean, David checked on us twice, and the feeling/vibe along with the atmosphere was just PERFECT!! The song that the band was playing was "Besame Mucho". I am sure most of you have heard of that song, if you haven't, it's never too late. If I happen to be in Palm Springs again, I will definitely go back to this club. You are never too old to have fun. You can also hold events for your special occasions. Thank you David, Copa Night Club and management.Established back in 2013, restrooms for both men and women, street and metered parking only..business hours are from 9pm till 2am. Closed on certain dates and holidays! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

He was incredibly kind and personally made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. We especially appreciated that he kept us informed on how we were doing against our minimum spend and made sure we were well served the entire evening. That level of attentiveness made the night feel easy and well managed from our side. The music and overall energy were great, and the club was packed well beyond the 50 plus guests we brought into the reserved section. It felt lively, celebratory, and like exactly the kind of place you want for a wedding after party. The staff was welcoming, service was strong, and the atmosphere carried the night forward in a really fun way. We would absolutely recommend Copa for anyone looking for an upbeat Palm Springs after party venue.

I had the pleasure of attending a large birthday dinner at Birba this past Saturday evening, and…read moreoverall, it was quite a memorable experience. The outdoor setting is truly charming--elegant yet relaxed, and very much in keeping with the desert's natural beauty. The evening began with a delightful cocktail hour and a selection of appetizers, which set a festive and convivial tone. Much of the staff was warm and attentive, contributing positively to the celebratory atmosphere. As the evening progressed, however, there was a rather curious moment. While waiting for the restroom--of which there are only two--my friend and I couldn't help but overhear a staff member speaking rather candidly about the event, remarking on how "easy" it all was and questioning her colleagues' capabilities to handle such an event. It felt like an unexpected glimpse behind the curtain, and admittedly, not the most professional one. Shortly thereafter, we realized that it was our own waitress who was commenting on the very event we were attending. While we chose to take it in stride and even found some humor in the situation as the evening unfolded, it did lend a slightly chaotic undertone to the service. Our waitress appeared quite rushed and somewhat flustered, which stood in contrast to her earlier remarks. That said, the evening concluded on a high note. The meal itself was thoroughly enjoyable, and the company, of course, made the celebration special. All in all, it was a lovely night--enhanced with a touch of unintended "entertainment."

We were ecstatic when we were able to book a last minute ressie on a Friday night for a group of 9!…read moreThey had a variety of tasty menu options to choose from, it was hard not to choose them all! We got some drinks to start! I ordered the espresso martini and they were able to do decaf for me! It was one of the most creamy and delicious ones I've had! We did family style and there was still enough food to go around for all of us girls! Next we got some apps: - Beet Salad - I don't typically like beets but this was delicious! The grapefruit went surprisingly well with the beets. - the Garlic Knot - garlicky, fluffy perfection, 10 of these please! - Fried Squash - also not a fan of squash either but this was executed really well as it complemented well with the dip that came on the side. Annnnd for the main course we ordered: - Rigatoni - pasta was perfectly al dente, the meat sauce was tasty and i kept going back for more of this dish - Pesto - loved the unique pasta used for this dish, pesto's always a good idea! - Tagliatelle - this one was my least favorite pasta dish out of all but still good, just not as memorable - Birba (pizza) - wow! this is one of the more unique pizza's i've tried. it was like a flavor bomb in my mouth. the hint of sweet from the honey and the chili oil combined added a kick - chef's kiss. I'd come back to PS just to get this again! - Homemade Classic (pizza) - this was also delish as well! I love mushroom and this was packed full of them, tasty! Last but not least we had to top off the meal with some desserts! We did not expect the portions to be so large as dessert usually comes in smaller plates but wow! 9 of us girls couldn't even finish half of it and we had to take it home. What we ordered: - Tiramisu - this had a nice and cloudy texture, your typical tiramisu but wow can I taste the alcohol in this lol! - Salted Caramel Pudding - this was amazing! Not too sweet and the consistency was bouncy and smooth, just how pudding should be :) 10 of these too please!! - Olive Oil Berry Cake - this is my first time ever trying the viral olive oil cake and i'm glad they had this as an option so I can finally try what all the hype is about! This was fluffy and light, just the way I like it! It's like a lighter pound cake! Our food came out quickly and the servers were nice and attentive. The restaurant itself was cute as it had an outdoorsy vibe and most of the seating was outside under a tree lol. Interesting but it works!
