I have been seen at Alpha Dental for more than 5 years. The atmosphere here is great! Dr. Latif is amazing! She has restored my faith in the dental community. I moved away and sought after a dentist in my neighborhood, what a mistake. After seeing the dentist in my new neighborhood, I had to come back to see Dr. Latif because of complications. She took time out and really listened and helped me. I am grateful to Alpha Dental (Dr. Latif). I told her that I was committed to her being my dentist and would never cheat on her again. read more

I should have listened to the reviews and avoided this office at all costs. It's hard though because it's one of the only dentist in the area that accepts Medicaid. My teeth were not cleaned properly. The dentist destroyed my gums with the dental scaler. The scaler never even touched my teeth. She just jammed it into my gums and very quickly. She was in a huge rush. My gums were left bloody and bruised while my teeth were not even touched. My teeth were never polished either. They billed my insurance for the cleaning, so I can't go somewhere else to have a proper cleaning done without having to pay out of pocket I've read reviews and others have had the same exact experience. I think we need to do something. I left the office traumatized. So when she said we were all done, I checked out while trying to hold back tears. I just wanted to get out of there. I received a very short response from my now BBB complaint. Not just a review, anymore. They assured me I can see another dentist. (well of course, I can) whose going to pay though? They used the statement "standard of care" 3 times in this short reply. "Standard of care means if you asked other Dentist what they would have done to care for me, the majority would have done the same thing". How can this place have such a high star ratings when the majority of people have given this place a negative rating. There were 60 reviews the other day. read more

Dr. A was the best! I've been dealing with tooth issues from a shotty crown job I had done about 20 years ago...went in to have it pulled and needless to say I had myself all worked up about the "what ifs"...he was funny, informative, and pulled my tooth with absolutely NO pain. I brought my 3 year old in and was told He needed to go back alone, as it was a patient only area. This is a 3 y/o. I made a request to stand outside the door, When the nurse asked the Dentist He said "Man, that will be a real pain in my ass." Had an Appointment here yesterday at 1PM. Like usual I go early hoping for the possibility they get me in and out early understanding that don't always work. So I get there at noon and find customers complaining that they were called at home and asked to come in early (10:30) they did so only to be left waiting anyways. They also said Alpha Dental Center had pizza delivered and the entire staff disappeared to the back. Anyways that hour was on me for showing up early, but the staff don't show back up until 1:30. By this time the lobby is standing room only so I ask how long is my wait. I'm told it's going to be a while. I ask how longs a while, I have another appointment at 3PM. I'm told, "Sorry, you have eight people in head of you" I tell them I can't stay then. So the lady says, "Sorry we had an EMERGENCY meeting. Would you like to reschedule now?" I don't know how these people were raised but you don't have pizza parties when you have scheduled customers in the lobby then tell the customers it was an emergency meeting. Have your "MEETING" after work!! P.S. I have a $40 fee for not keeping my appointment. Please make the check payable to Steven, your 1 PM appointment. OH my GOD!!!!! I've been here multiple times for my children's dental care. The dental work is shoddy and they do unnecessary procedures on children. Take take you back and you sit while they come in and out of the room doing nothing at all for eternity. Plan to spend at least 2 hours waiting for simple procedures that take minutes to do. Clear your day, you'll spend the entire thing here. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. The staff seems ignorant and wastes time, in and out of the room doing nothing productive. My son has fallen asleep waiting to get a cavity filled that they already did once and has to be fixed again for a baby tooth that should have just been pulled in the first place. If I could leave no stars that's whayt I would do, this dentist office will do nothing but jerk you around, they have been telling me for the last 2 months that I was going to get my teeth extracted. I get to my appointment then they change there mind say there going to do fillings instead, go back again they say no they don't feel that is needed how about we do fillings and maybe you should do root canals and crowns something that I would never be able to afford. So the dentist refused to do it so I left then they reschedule the appointment say that they will do the extractions then when it came to the day before my appointment they canceled it because the dentist refused. Then today comes for my appointment first I waited a hour passed my appointment time they finally call me back I get my mouth numb then he refused to pull the teeth. You can't keep telling me your going to do it I get there you numb my mouth then say no we're not going to do it I feel that's why they made me wait an hour passed my appointment time and made me wait till almost 4 till they came back in to check if my mouth was numb and then wants to be dumb and say he forgot to numb my pallet clearly. They are looking for any reason to not do the work in my mouth. Which I called and said something the women (April)that answered the phone was like well there not going to do it then why do you keep making my appointments she then continued to say that they are going to want to do the root canals and crowns something that can save the teeth but my thing if it's something I can't finacially afford then why the heck wouldn't you do the original plan that was approved through my insurance if you were just going to jerk me around literally for the last year and a half. If you don't want to be jerked around just completely avoid the pathetic dentists that work here that refuse to do any major work all they want to do is milk your insurance dry till nothing can be done. Or like this dentist stated I'll just keep filling the teeth and if they brake you can keep coming back and getting them filled then what when you can't fill them anymore your just going to leave me with no teeth I feel that's there goal to be a hack of a dentist! Just pissed I've wasted all this time going back and forth and nothing has been done. When they could of told me this forever ago that they didn't want to do it could of gone somewhere else that wouldn't had a problem doing it!! FIND A DIFFERENT DENTIST! If you like to wait, this is the dentist for you. We have been working on getting partials for my mother in law for months. The visit today was the last straw. Every appointment takes hours. One time they even forgot about her in a room for over 30 minutes. (That was a 3 hour visit) This time they didn't even have her lower partial to try on, it is in China. (Keep in mind the appt was to fit her partials) When I complained to the front desk, they couldn't offer any help. I asked to speak to a manager, it took 15 minutes and two calls to get someone to talk me. When the manager came to see me, she spoke to me in the middle of the waiting room until I questioned her about her practices. She brought me back to her office to speak in private. As soon as we walked in the office, she slapped the patient file on her desk and started with a condescending attitude. I felt as if I had been sent to the principal's office. I can't believe they are still in business. I had to leave the office because it is not worth my time to hear excuses with no attempt to work on a solution for the future. BTW the reception area was full of patients having the same issues. Oh and I found out she is the owner, it will never get any better. read more

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would! If you just have to get a tooth extracted this place will suffice. If you need to get anything else dont. RUN in the other direction. My experience here started with waiting in a waiting room for 2 hours because I was a new patient only to wait in the examination room for another hour before I was even seen. When I was finally seen I was told I needed 2 rootcanals (one of which I opted to have pulled) and a couple cavities filled. I made an appointment for the extraction and made another appointment to start the rootcanal and to fill the cavities. The next appointment they did the extraction. The next appointment got the other procedures done and they sent me on my way. The next day I was in tears I was in so much pain. I called first thing in the morning and they squeezed me in to see what was going on. When I saw the dentist he looked in my mouth and told me that it was only the sensitivity of the gum line from the root canal and sent me home. That night I was in EXCRUCIATING pain! I went in once again and a VERY old dentist came in with a WALKER to look at my tooth. When he went to sit down in his chair he knocked all of the instuments off of the table. I really don't know what compelled me to continue with this visit but I did. After they got all new instruments he looked and said that there was a little part of the filling that the "materials must have broken down" and that he had to fill it. Sooo he did. That night I was in even more pain! Went back the next day to see a 3rd dentist and he is now telling me that I will need yet another rootcanal. Since I didn't want to spend another $2500 that I didn't already have from the first rootcanal I told him to pull it. I was in such pain I really just didn't care anymore. I went back for the next appointment where they took my impressions for the crown(from the 1st rootcanal. I asked if they were going to get a white porcelain crown. They assured me they were. Came to my next apointment and what do they pull out? A GOLD crown! They immediately blame it on the lab. They told me they would send it back and call me when the new one would be in which they didnt. I called them after about 3 weeks and the lady that answered the phone says "let me go check". Wouldn't ya know it they got it in the VERY day. Right. Anywho, made an appointment to get it cemented. Went in. Got that done. 2 weeks later I am eating a candy bar. All the sudden Im chewing on my crown. That night I went into labor (yes I was pregnant this whole time). After I had the baby got settled in I called the dentist office to let them know that the crown came off. Made another appoiment. Got it recemented. Off on my way. Now TONIGHT about 4 months after getting it "fixed" it has come off AGAIN! THIS is the reason people are afraid to go to the dentist! I will not be returning and I am not only writing this god awful review but word will also be traveling by mouth as well! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! for 5 years the dentist told me I had no cavities, come to find out I had 12!! He makes more $ doing extractions then filling cavities. I ended up needing a root canal because of his negligence. Did you know medicaid pays for 3 root canals in your life time, it does, but he wouldn't tell you that. This is the worst dentist I have ever been to. The dr came in and marked me for 9 cavities and walked out... Did not even say hi. The lady who was suppose to be cleaning my teeth scrapped plaque off my teeth and never gave me a rinse I had to ask for it. She gave me a rinse and sprayed it all over my face. I went to another dentist a two weeks later and they said I have one cavity. These are not good people !!! read more

They performed a painless root canal but did not use a dental dam which is malpractice. Dentists are taught to always use a dental dam during a root canal procedure. read more
