I haven't seen any mice since Francisco worked on my house! He sealed up the small holes he found which were left from a previous contractor who had redone our kitchen. The two other companies I contacted wanted me to spend a lot of money sealing places that didn't actually need to be sealed, and said we needed to use poison to kill the mice. We had a suspected raccoon living in our attic, based on damage to the outside vents. For $95, this was verified, and they also found other issues such as a wasp nest. The team used humane measures to get the raccoon to leave, then added raccoon-proof hardware mesh inside and out, on 4 potential entry points. The tech arrived on time, he followed all best practices to minimize the spread of COVID 19, and was thorough in sourcing the pathways for the ants, even looking outside and in the garage for trails from any colonies. Mohammed and Francisco at Alpha Pest stand head and shoulders above any pest management company I have ever worked with. We live in a 1920's co-op in DC that has a pest control firm on contract for residents. I had them come five times in four weeks as soon as we saw the first sign of a mouse, only to watch things get progressively worse. We literally had at least 30 traps out around our apartment and did not trap a single mouse (nor did they even nibble at any of the bait). Enter Alpha Pest to save the day. They spent two full days in our apartment, sealing up every hole, installing door sweeps, and more. I could not have been more impressed. Their depth and breadth of knowledge in their field is astounding. We are now mouse free for the first time in a month, thanks to them. They then went over to my father's apartment and were able to figure out that carpenter ants were nesting in a tree that touches his bedroom window. They get into his bedroom when he opens the windows for fresh air. They are treating his apartment next. I just can't say enough good things about Alpha Pest. OMG. I lived with this wasp nest a few feet above my car knowingly for some weeks. That nest could have been there for months but a neighbor pointed it out to me. Once I noticed it I asked for several quotes via Yelp that almost doubled the quote compared to Alpha Pest. I called them and explained where it was. I thought this was an important detail since competitors asked the same and upped the price on me. Some couldn't do the work because of it being in the air. So I reconfirmed with Alpha who price was the lowest and they responded like duh lady, we got this. Once I bought new tires for my car and paid the monthly mortgage of daycare I decided it was time to stop dodging these bees as I put myself and infant son (bad mom, I know) in car. In picture their vehicle he is standing on is where I would park. I called them and they reconfirmed the same price and set a date. Still nervous once they got there the price may go up, but never happened. They did a lot, removing and treating tree and also explained that it may take a week before they are less aggressive. By the end of the day we were comfortable as we saw none in site. This type of service makes me wish i had used them for my mouse problem. I called the company and sent 2 emails asking to contact me for assistance. 5 days later, Francisco replied and offered to come to my house to assess my mice problem. He thoroughly inspected the exterior and interior of my home and made recommendations on entry points (he went under the porch and filled in a gap around the window) and how he would fill in the cracks in the basement area. He returned a few days later and proceeded with his recommendations, answered my questions, put down a few traps, and completed the assignment.
