Tried to get a quote via email for printing some invitations, but couldn't even get that far. Emailed my print job to Alphagraphics via email requesting a quote. I was very specific in providing them the paper size, template, and what the finished product should look like. Very simple project. All I needed was for the paper to be fed through the printer so that the date, time and location of the event could be printed on it. Emma replied and asked if I'll be using their paper. I confirmed that Ide be using my own paper that was sent to me by my organization. They said they can't provide a quote because they are not sure that my paper is "laser compatible." I said we've printed this paper several times in laser printers without issues. They said without the brand, or a receipt confirming "laser compatible" that they can't risk their machines getting jammed. Understood - But couldn't you at least of shown some customer service and offered me to come in, show you the paper, do a test and see how it goes? You could've looked at the paper and realized it's just like other print jobs you've handled in the past. Instead, you turned a customer away because you didn't even want to try. By actually seeing the paper, you would've realized it is, in fact, laser compatible. Or Put a disclaimer on your website saying "we will not provide quotes if you cannot prove that your paper is laser compatible" Either way, it's a waste of time even trying to get a quote if you cannot prove you have a document that's "laser compatible" - I recommend you go elsewhere for your printing needs. read more

I called to get a "on printing a single picture on to a piece of paper. A super simple service. The girl on the phone was somewhat rude in condescending To me letting me know that they do not offer printing or icon with the image. I would need to send it to their design teand wait 3 days. That's absolutely ridiculous when there is a picture of a printer on one of their Google images. Thank goodness we have fedex kinko's or we can walk in and just print an image without someone being rude to us. read more

You know what? These guys just keep delivering when I give them tight deadlines and really wonky tasks. And they're so super friendly about it that I just keep taking advantage of their kindness. The last batch of stuff to come out of here was really top-notch, and all done in house. It was the most complicated job I've sent them and they nailed it. Although they may not be the cheapest print house in town (although after lots of phone calls, I can say that sometimes they are the least expensive) I know that when the job matters I won't chance it on a budget printer. read more

I am a school teacher and wanted some posters printed for my classroom wall. They charged me $16 for four 24x36 prints on their least expensive printer (architectural printer) and when I showed them the thick, gray smudges across the top of each one (to see if they would re-print or offer me a discount for prints that DID NOT look professional) they excused their product by saying, "Well, that printer is old." Office Max is less expensive, and did not give me a big smear across the top. read more

The thing I enjoy most is where they are a local company they can help with quick print jobs and their turnaround times are the fastest I've been able to find. They carry high-quality paper and can do any special the printing you would like as well. I've had a number of items printed with embossing, full bleed, black and white, booklets you name it and every time it is turned out really really well. Alphagraphics just cost me thousands of dollars for their mistake. I just printed a very expensive job with Alphagraphics and they lost my proof that I signed off on, have no record (admitted that it's their mistake they lost it) but said it's not their fault they printed the wrong thing that's not my proof. They will only reprint at my expense. Unbelievable. I'm a designer that has worked with professional printers for over 10 years and never have I had such terrible customer service and unwillingness to help make their mistake right. Please save yourself and go to a better, more honest printer. read more

I loved working with all the employees at Alpha graphics in West Jordan. They were friendly, efficient and the end result was amazing. We had 200 booklets made they were done before the deadline and many of the recipients of the booklets commented on how great they were. We had done business with this company various times. They usually make good products (business cards), but we gave them a proof that was perfect. They failed to run THEIR OWN TYPESETTING by spellcheck before giving it back, so THEY made a glaring error on 10,000 cards. It was a card with small print, so we did not catch THEIR error thinking they certainly had run what THEY TYPED in a spellchecker (they apparently did no such thing). They then hid behind the fact that we signed off on it (it was not an error most would catch, and we'd trusted their advertised professionalism). They said the'd give a whopping 15% credit (on an over $300 job of 10,000 cards), but then refused to honor it the way felt they would (on our next job). Because of this bad business behavior, we pulled a $1,000-plus job from them because of what we deemed to be their lack of good customer service (it seems amazingly petty to us). So, today, we took that $1,000 job to Seagull right near Rocket Car wash on 7200, and they did it for almost HALF. So, good riddance Alpha Graphics, we will now use Seagull. read more

I took my 7 year old and the book he wrote to alphagraphics to be bound. They acted like it was a major imposition to"squeeze it in" by the end if the day around their "big job." If you're not a huge order you're an inconvenience. After all that they did a crappy job of binding it and were overpriced. Next time I'm goings to Kinko's. read more

This was my first time at AlphaGraphics. I was referred by a friend of mine. I was working on a big fundraiser and the existing printing company I was using was just not good in service or help. I contacted Johanna and she immediately jumped into gear and helped me not only in order but in decision-making of what huge posters were the best quality and which were best in keeping their shape so we could re-use the following year. Alphagraphics was recommended to me by my school because they handle most of their printing projects. Although they are more pricey, I was told they gave "quality products and they had good customer service." I figured I'd give them a try. I called 9/20 and explained that I needed a poster board for my doctoral thesis and the receptionist, I think her names was McKayla, said to bring it in via flash drive. I live in Riverton, UT, but made the 20 min to the WJ location since that was the nearest one to me and I wanted to make sure that they get the order right. Well, I found out on arrival they don't take PowerPoint format (which no one told me). It has to be in pdf format. When they retrieved my file via pdf...everything shifted: my setting was all wrong, my font color and sizes, etc. McKayla was still able to give me a quote for my colored poster board presentation 36"x 48" being ~$75. She then enlightens me that I can "upload the pdf file online." So, I go home and reformat everything to pdf which took another hour and uploaded it to their website with specific instructions that this is a poster board project for my doctoral thesis and to call me with any questions. I even called them Friday evening to make sure there were no miscommunications about my order because I was nervous. Well, I picked up my order today, 9/23/19 and of course the order was wrong. It was printed onto a "paper" poster and 2 of the pictures were pixelated!!! I was fuming, mostly about the paper poster. I paid everything up front!! I told them that I specifically told McKayla & whoever I talked to via phone on Friday that this was a "POSTER BOARD PRESENTATION FOR MY DOCTORAL THESIS AND THAT I WOULD BE EXHIBITING IT ON AN EASEL!" The paper poster 36"x 48" would flop over! The receptionist goes and talks to management an their answer "it would cost me another $60 to put it onto a foam poster board!" Yes, to "glue" it to a board, it would cost me another $60! And they couldn't refund me due to a customized order! Lesson learned, I will never go through Alphagraphics again! And I will report back to my college and anyone else I come into contact with about this experience. SAVE YOUR MONEY....GO TO FEDEX KINKO INSTEAD! What a rip off! The culmination of my entire schooling comes down to people who cannot understand the simplest of instructions. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this Alphagraphics location. They have gotten me out of a bind so many times when I needed stuff printed at the very last minute! My wife and I own a company and do a lot of graphic design and printing. We were using alphagraphics because of the convenient location. We had a couple thousand dollar job that we sent to this particular alphagraphics. We sent a file for a quote and then sent a modified file that said it was the print ready file. My wife went in and signed off on the proof and then they proceeded and printed the incorrect file that did not match the proof she signed off on. When the job was picked up we discovered that they had printed the wrong file. We emailed and went into the store to let them know it was the wrong print and they would need to be reprinted. They brought us a proof that they said we signed for (It was the wrong proof. We signed a finished proof that was cut and folded, they brought a proof that was not cut or folded). When we said that this was not the proof they made excuses saying that it was the only file on their computer and they had lost the previous proof and file and did not have record of our correct file (We have email evidence that they received the correct file). Instead of making things right and reprinting the job we had sent them they wanted us to pay for 50% of the reprint, which was 100% their fault. They mixed up files, lost proofs, and would not make anything right. From all the printers that we have used over the past 10 years this was by far the worst customer service that we have ever had. We will not be taking any business to them ever again and you should think twice before going in, because if they mess up on your job for any reason, they will try to blame you and make you pay for it. I am sure they will try to justify this somehow in a comment below, but at the end of the day they are crooks who took a lot of money from us and we still don't have the correct print job. After the management was rude and unwilling to make this right, we went to another company that we have worked with. They were very sympathetic to our situation and even printed this job for their cost (which was 1/4 the price of alphagraphics) at least there are still good business people out there that know how to take care of their customers. read more

Awesome experience! They bent over backwards to find a way to accomplish what we needed done. We asked them to create a digital copy of a very old book with huge 3'x3' maps that were folded and stored in pockets in the back. When there was no way to scan the bound part of the book and then put it back together in its original form, they ended up scanning it page by page and leaving the book intact! They are marvelous to work with. It seems that there's nothing they can't do :) read more

Unfortunately this will not be a good review. I've tried to use this Alphagraphics location 3 times now because it's the closest one to my office. But all 3 times I have had problems. The latest is the straw to break the camel's back. I asked them to quote a job and left a sample with them. Several hours later they came back with a quote, I authorized the job and paid them in advance. Not long afterwards, they called to say they had miscalculated and the job would be roughly 40% more expensive. I told them not to proceed; that I now wanted to shop the job around. They then called back to tell me they were going to charge me for work already performed on the job. So they were authorized to do the work under the false premise of 1 price and then charged me when I did not want to proceed after they gave me the corrected price. I picked up my job and took it to a different Alphagraphics. They quoted me a price about 50% LESS than this outfit and delivered on time and on quote. Sadly, these guys are incompetent at best, dishonest at worst and incapable of decent customer service. read more

While the customer service was OK, I think the West Valley location was recommended to me and not this location. I am an individual consumer and was looking to print material for my wedding. It's possible I'm not their main clientele. I was hoping since they are printing experts that they could help me trouble shoot some minor projects but in the end we had several misprints and I had to be the one to figure out the problem. The worst part of my experience was that the third time I went to pick up my order, in late morning, the manager held a meeting and took all the employees back. A couple came in to use the copier and they were having lots of issues. I tried to help them but couldn't fix the copier and no one else was around. In the end we both left, they went to FedEx and I told them that's where I'd be going next time. read more

I have been using this location for the last 5 years and I have enjoyed my sales rep Johanna. However my most recent printing experience was horrible. Johanna was out of the office on vacation and the Manager Kim was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was instantly rude the moment she answered the phone and never apologized for any errors made on their part. When I expressed that this experience and her attitude has made me consider taking my business elsewhere her response was "oh well, that is your prerogative." WOW! If the manager care that much about customer service then I will most definitely be finding a new print shop. read more
