I really appreciated how confidently and calmly the groomer took control when he arrived. It immediately made me feel like Charlie was in good hands. My dogs already knew and were comfortable with the groomer, so I was willing to continue using the service even though it had become significantly more expensive. Unfortunately, this time the experience was extremely disappointing. I first messaged Carlos on July 15th and received no response. I then called on Friday, July 17 to follow up, and initially got no answer. When I called on his cell phone again, Carlos answered and said he was driving and would call me back in 30 minutes. He never did. I called again later that evening, and instead of apologizing for not following up, the conversation felt dismissive and unprofessional. We eventually scheduled an appointment for July 21 between 5:00 and 5:30 PM. Carlos never showed up and never called to let me know there was an issue. I tried calling multiple times around 7:30 PM and received no response. At that point, I had no choice but to look for another groomer through Yelp. Ironically, Yelp also sent my inquiry to other providers and this same groomer responded first. Given that he had already failed to show up for our confirmed appointment and had ignored multiple calls, I told him I was no longer interested in his services. I understand that things can occasionally happen, but failing to communicate, not returning calls and completely missing a scheduled appointment without any notice is unacceptable - especially from a service that has already increased its prices multiple times. I had continued using Bark Barber largely because my dogs were familiar with the groomer, but reliability and communication are just as important as the grooming itself. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will be taking my dogs elsewhere. I have attached all the images of the call logs and messages with him as evidence.

I'm incredibly picky about where I take my dog because he truly is my child, and he is not the friendliest when it comes to people. But Nova? He opened up immediately to the girls at Tender Touch. This is a dog who used to refuse to even hop out of the car, and today he jumped right out, tail wagging. That says everything. He always comes back spotless, soft, and so well cared for. The only reason I'm giving five stars instead of ten is because they do crate the dogs, which I understand is necessary for a smaller space and for everyone's safety, and they are slightly more expensive than my previous groomer. I can't even walk in because there's a big metal screen preventing entry. The owner, who I made the appointment with was not even there. An employee had to call him. He then told me to just leave my kitten there and come back later. I obviously said absolutely not. Overall super sketchy business. Go across the street, there's a wonderful pet grooming shop there that's actually legit.
