My dogs already knew and were comfortable with the groomer, so I was willing to continue using the service even though it had become significantly more expensive. Unfortunately, this time the experience was extremely disappointing. I first messaged Carlos on July 15th and received no response. I then called on Friday, July 17 to follow up, and initially got no answer. When I called on his cell phone again, Carlos answered and said he was driving and would call me back in 30 minutes. He never did. I called again later that evening, and instead of apologizing for not following up, the conversation felt dismissive and unprofessional. We eventually scheduled an appointment for July 21 between 5:00 and 5:30 PM. Carlos never showed up and never called to let me know there was an issue. I tried calling multiple times around 7:30 PM and received no response. At that point, I had no choice but to look for another groomer through Yelp. Ironically, Yelp also sent my inquiry to other providers and this same groomer responded first. Given that he had already failed to show up for our confirmed appointment and had ignored multiple calls, I told him I was no longer interested in his services. I understand that things can occasionally happen, but failing to communicate, not returning calls and completely missing a scheduled appointment without any notice is unacceptable - especially from a service that has already increased its prices multiple times. I had continued using Bark Barber largely because my dogs were familiar with the groomer, but reliability and communication are just as important as the grooming itself. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will be taking my dogs elsewhere. I have attached all the images of the call logs and messages with him as evidence.

I'm incredibly picky about where I take my dog because he truly is my child, and he is not the friendliest when it comes to people. But Nova? He opened up immediately to the girls at Tender Touch. This is a dog who used to refuse to even hop out of the car, and today he jumped right out, tail wagging. That says everything. He always comes back spotless, soft, and so well cared for. The only reason I'm giving five stars instead of ten is because they do crate the dogs, which I understand is necessary for a smaller space and for everyone's safety, and they are slightly more expensive than my previous groomer. I have dogs with heavy coats who need specialty groomers that truly know what they're doing. On my last visit, the price for my 70/80-Ib dog jumped from $150 to a little over $400. Not only did the price keep increasing before I even picked him up, but the grooming itself wasn't done well. I tracked down my old groomer afterward, and she told me his nails were still long, he had a large matted knot behind his ear, and the nail on his heel was curled. So the job wasn't just overpriced it was poorly done. I've had great groomers here in the past. They use quality shampoo, the facility is clean, and everyone is nice. But Dogs Etc. has lost so many of their best groomers, and those groomers were the people who could have made this business truly exceptional. I won't be going back unfortunately. Also I always gave great tips! Love my groomers!! My update Yes it was absolutely here DOGs ETC. and I've been going there for at least a decade if not more. Like I said your shop is amazing but you have lost (or the past owners) many many good groomers but this last one was insane.
