I was excited about this church ... the messages were clear, on point and Bible based, the music was great and the staff is wonderful. The church facility is very nice as well. So what's the problem(?) The issue for my husband and I was the piping in of secular music in the church before church service starts. The Sunday I'm speaking of we heard "Earth, Wind and Fire". We were confused :{. Our feeling is that there is a time and a place for that and not in God's house. God's House is Holy ground and only Holy things should take place there. The same with the Church anniversary party in the park, gospel was played then secular party music was played, then gospel then secular music, then gospel, etc. Again, we were in happy reverence and praise mode then came party music.... we were so confused.... We left the event very early and have not been back to this church since. We really thought we had found a church home and were left sad and disappointed to have to leave. Though we loved this church we Love the God more and have to follow the Holy Spirit and not man. I cannot express how much we loved this church and are sad to stop going but for God we'd still be visiting.

I am new to Atlanta, so visit as many as 3 church services every Sunday searching for Divine inspiration & wonderful fellow Christians (THE ONE AND ONLY RELIGION STARTED BY A PROVEN GOD!). Keep feeling myself drawn back to 3 churches, including NPCC. NPCC is unique for having a very dynamic, sincere and magnetic pastor, brilliant sermons, excellent music, a big Auditorium that is very full with lots of beautiful happy adults of all ages in the audience, even more beautiful and happy children in fun rooms with wonderful leaders built around the massive Auditorium. And a sense of the Divine in almost every child & adult I observed & had contact with. Excellent, friendly outside crew efficiently directing you to open parking spaces when arriving & safe exits following the service. (This is more unusual than a great leader). During the last 8 months, I have lived in 4 States from Wyoming (my home) to Atlanta where I luckily own some nice houses. And I will be returning here often. I have not missed at least one church service (sometimes several) every Sunday since - God spoke to me twice - in a very normal male voice that just sounded like a 40 year old friend (I think He recognized His personal intervention was the ONLY way I would have any hope of living with Him in Heaven (wherever that is...)! Until then, I may have attended a church service 3-10 times a year for Easter, Christmas... (I had His invisible presence on an invisible horse riding next to me as I grew up on huge ranches. So why did I need to attend a church?). Now I know. And when I did attend, I was driven to select special churches with good people and great Pastors/Priests! North Point is one of THE VERY BEST I have ever experienced! Attending events there, joining with good people and being inspired by Godly leadership is memorable & life changing!

They have people to assist if you don't know where to go into the sanctuary for service. The sanctuary is huge like a stadium. You could sit up close near the platform, in the middle, on the sides or a the top away. I like to come early so I can select my seating. They do have ushers who will direct you to a seat according to the size of your family or by yourself. They are also friendly and helpful too. The praise and worship is great. Songs originated by their ministry team can be song or songs by popular Christian artists song, but the songs will be rooted in the Word(Bible). I love that pastors or ministers preach the word from the Bible. They have it on the screens for you to follow or you use the You Version Bible app to follow along, which is the best! Communion is given out on first Sunday, but if led to give on another Sunday they will do so. This church is not a religious church, but about a relationship with Jesus. It is non-denominational. I was alone, and didn't have anyone greet me or come ask me my name. I came early and even hung around at the end to see if there were any circles of people my age or just women or people in general to talk to, and no one made eye contact or tried to find out who I was so I felt pretty bummed. But also it was just a first visit so I guess I can't make a full judgement unless I were to give it a few chances. But overall, it's worth checking out.

I sat down behind some folks, aside of others - No One spoke at all. My cologne isnt so bad as to cause no one to sit close or even speak. It was Palm Sunday, Jesus' Triumphal Entry of Christ to Jerusalem. The first song had absolutely NO "umph" or excitement to kick off a worship service - none, and it didn't get much better from there. I'd say less than half the worshipers were singing at all. We have an amazing savior to praise - to relish in worship. Not the case on my visit here. The pastor, though sticking with the text - John 5 - and giving the Greek words - gave almost no illustrations, stories or application. I'm happy about your recent trip to the holy land, but please tell me how it helps here in N Atl. Perhaps as a former pastor, having gone to conferences all over the country, I'm a tough critic. I can't sit through it. I need more Bible in a sermon and prefer a pastor who preaches from the Bible and from his heart, but it's great that people are going to church and raising their children in church (the Bible talks about it in many places and how it's for our benefit). The people are nice here and they have a good children's ministry.

He was very helpful and advised us on all the ways we could plug in. We will be praying about making this our local church as the good Lord leads us.

So many churches miss the mark when it comes to truly facilitating the body of Christ--but this church gets it. Pastor Chuck isn't just a preacher; he's a shepherd who knows his flock by name and stewards them well. There are so many ways to plug in: men's and women's groups, children's ministries we love for our kids, Wednesday night family dinners followed by worship and teaching, student ministries, missions, and more. I feel like I'm at church every day now--and I wouldn't have it any other way. Grateful the Lord planted us here.

The 9:30 service has a great praise team and band. The 11:00 service has a 125+ member choir and 25+ member orchestra that blends traditional hymns and more contemporary praise music. The preaching is spot on, sharing truths from the Bible, stressing compassion for our hurting world. FRC even have a wonderful chef who cooks Wednesday night dinner, often for more than 250 people. I like to visit the coffee lodge for lunch where I can get a smash burger voted best in Forsyth County. Again we aren't perfect, but who is?...oh yeah, that's WHO we worship.:)
