My family has been here twice and have enjoyed it both times. Highly recommended and lots of fun.

I sometimes shiver when I hear companies with the "adventure" in their name. The shiver is a combination of excitement and jealousy. What if there already exists a company that does exactly what I want to do? Then I calm down once I hear more details. Alpine Adventures is less a titular bait & switch. Right in the name, they promise adventures only in the woods. Their web site explains they do snowmobile tours, zipline canopy tours, and off-road safaris. We reached out to them because we wanted to play in the snow and we did not want to go skiing. Alpine Adventures is not particular cheap. The 3 hour tour cost $149 per machine, or $149 + $20 for one machine and two riders. We went with the two-rider approach. Cost is one issue, but it is worse to tell like a victim of add-ons once you arrive. We bundled up tight but were then pushed hard into renting water-proof ski suits. They reasoned that if anything happened, we were out in the snow. Were they suggesting that if the snowmobile broke down, they were leaving us behind? We went with the suits and they only seemed to charge us $5 total for both of them. The guides certainly put the fear of God into us during the instructions. They told us how often they saw riders swerve off the path into trees or flip over on tight turns. Beforehand, I had worried that I'd be disappointed by the lack of mayhem in the snowmobile ride. But once I got on the snowmobile though, I feared for my life just enough. The snowmobile combination of motorcycle, sled, and tractor makes it look like something my G.J. action figures used to ride. I had no doubt that if I did hit a tree, an instantaneous explosion would immediately catapult me into the air. I let my girlfriend Rebecca drive first. I took over the driving half way through the tour. The biggest advantage to driving is the automatic hand warmers on the throttle. Driving a snowmobile is incredibly fun. It wasn't a race, but it felt like one. The instructors had told us not to fall behind the group just for the excuse to punch it to catch up. But I couldn't help. As I said, the posted speed limit through the state park was 25 miles an hour. I slowed to 20 MPH on the tours and had to race on the straightaways to catch up. The tour guides were polite. They also insisted we should travel only at the speeds at which we were comfortable. They stopped the group when necessary. Our biggest complaint is that they stopped the group too often. Especially near the end. We sat in the Franconia Notch parking lot for like 15 minutes. Yes, there were scenic views at times, but it wasn't as if the guides were giving us a geology lesson. In the end, we felt like we accomplished something by surviving with our liability at zero. We spent our $12 on chicken tortilla soup at Half Baked down the road. We would snowmobile again and I think we would return to Alpine Adventures. read more

This was a wonderful adventure! I had never been ziplining before and really wanted to try it but was pretty nervous. We did the treetop tour (great for beginners). Our guides were funny and reassuring, but it was clear that safety was their number one concern. They worried about it so we didn't have to and we were able to have a blast. We will definitely be riding the ziplines again - next time on a more challenging course! read more

My boyfriend and I did the treetop canopy tour and had a great time! Neither of us had ever ziplined and I was a bit nervous about it so we chose this tour. The guides were great and joking around but when I told them I was nervous they were extremely helpful as well. It was a great experience and I would definitely do it again! read more

The ONLY place to zipline, in my opinion. Anything else would be 2nd best. Along with my daughter & son we did the skyrider tour on 7/15/17 @2:30PM. We got lucky because a party of 8 that was suppose to be part of our group didn't show up. So with another father/son combo there were 5 of us. I have been here once before about 3 years ago & knew what to expect but once again the STAFF at Alpine surpassed my expectations. Everyone is laid back and friendly, funny even, but super serious when it comes to safety, and that is great peace of mind. The rides and views are spectacular and the STAFF really ensures you have a great time. Upon checking in the cashier gave me a 10% discount because I had been there before. I didn't even have to ask, that's exceptional! Towards the end a STAFF member was able to tell me, based on vague details I could remember, the name of swimming hole (lower falls) on the Kanga I had been 20 years prior. Because of that I was able to take the family and we had a fantastic time. Be sure to tip them if you go because exceptional staff like that is hard to find. Also definitely have a go on the Bigbag Stuntzone, it's a great appetizer to the zip. We'll be back! read more

We loved our 3 hour Tree Top Tour zip lining experience. The staff are well-trained to make you feel comfortable and safe. Peaches, Chris, and New York Nick were great athletes and fun guides. I knew that we were in good hands with them. Make sure you go off the last zipline backwards. I can't wait to do the longer and higher zips next time. read more

A must do attraction. We did the 2 hr zip line tour on 12/28 after a nice snow storm had hit. Incredible time. Fantastic scenery. Staff (John, Hunter and Gentleman John) went out of their way to create a safe, hilarious and fun experience for our group. They teamed well and involved us in sme good humored teasing. The ride up to the first zip line on a six wheeled Swiss army vehicle was cool too. John even made that part interesting with a little history and allot of tricks. Go for it! We bought tickets for my kids to do Thrillsvillle Aerial Park which included bridges, cargo nets, rope ladders, ziplines, a free fall tower, and a Climbing Tower. They also got a few trips on their Big Air Bag Stuntzone. The kids had a blast. The first half of the course was relatively easy for them. The second part of the course was much higher and more challenging. They were both spent after finishing. They both enjoyed the Big Air Bag Stuntzone. This involves riding a tube down a ramp which launches the rider into an inflatable air bag. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because they were not prepared for the April vacation crowds. There were only 2 staff members on the Thrillsville course when we started which lead to a lot of sitting around and waiting. A 3rd staff member arrived after awhile to manage the Big Air Bag Stuntzone which helped. We had a 1:00 pm start time and didn't finish until almost 3pm. Overall I would recommend this to families. My kids had a great time and we had fun watching. read more

We went this weekend during a very rainy day. We lucked out because we did not get wet at all. The tours run rain, snow or shine so be aware of the cancelation policy before you book. The staff were incredibly friendly!! The 3 tour guides were awesome!! They were friendly, funny, seemed to truly care about you and made you very comfortable during your entire time with them. They looked like they all enjoyed their job and made sure that everyone was safe the entire time. They were also very polite, great young men!!! The zip line adventure is so fun!! The skyline tour has 5 zips. The zip lining part was not scary at all, you fly down so fast!!! Each one was different and had a different name. The only part I was terrified on was the bridges. You are completely safe because you are hooked up, but I was terrified. The last place you take off from is also scary because you are way up in a tree with nothing around you, but again you are safe because you are attached to the tree. It's well worth the drive up to Lincoln. Look for groupons too. I can only imagine that it is so beautiful in the fall!! I bought tickets for the Off-Road tour and when I arrived at the Alpine Adventures, I was told that the tour is canceled due to the fact that the truck got stuck in snow. The representative of Alpine Adventures said it is not their fault but that it is weather's fault. Seriously? If there is too much snow then why not cancel it with an advance so I do not waste 6 hours for driving. If they decided to go with the tour, then it means the weather is permitting and it IS their fault (the driver's) for canceling the tour. They should treat their customers with respect and not say "It is not our fault, you can get refund or gift certificate for the value of the tour"... read more

I went on an off-road snowshoeing adventure this past weekend, and it was awesome. It was the perfect blend of adventure, adrenaline, nature, and relaxation. My husband and I booked the Super Skyrider. We we about 5 zips in when my husband got a notice informing him that his friend had passed away. He was to upset to continue. We told our guide, Gus, who immediately coordinated us to go down a zip with another tour group. He then met up with us and drove us to the parking lot where another guide brought us back to our car. We never asked, but this gentleman told us that they would email us gift certificates to come back. At the parking lot he asked our last name. I walked in grabbed or keys and we heading to our hotel to absorb the horrible news. We didn't even make our back to the hotel and I got the email. What amazing customer service. Thanks you so much. So we returned with the four kids..... wasn't sure how the morning would turn out. Sent three youngest and mama bear to thrillsville oldest and my self to tree top. Needless to say once again staff out did themselves. Especially for the three youngest. They received nothing but encouragement and positivity as I watched my children get higher and higher above my head. Tree Top tour was fabulous oldest daughter loved it and cant wait to come back!!! Scared outta my mind!!!! So much fun!!!! Staff is more than amazing. Wife loved every second of it!!!! Not a fan of heights but pushed through and glad I did. Dont pass by w/out spending time w/ Alpine. Worth the $$$$ . Take the time outta the fear to look around and appreciate the surroundings and what Alpine Adventures has created!!! read more

Amazing! We decided to try Treetop last minute (our hiking trail was closed) and I sure am glad we did. It was my first time but I never felt scared, unsafe, or unsure. I went on the Tree Top Canopy Zip Line Tour with a friend after buying a Living Social Deal and had a great time. The staff enhanced the experience greatly. They were all hilarious and fun. The only improvement they could make is to supply some music. It's definitely the type of activity that goes great with music in the background. I will definitely do the Sky Line Tour next time for a faster experience. read more

I booked the extreme zip lining tour because I thought it would be a nice bonding experience for the family and also a great opportunity to make fun of each other and I was right. The tour was amazing and I couldn't stop laughing. The tour guides were all super nice, friendly and funny which was great. After getting geared up, we were driven in one of their army trucks to the zip lining site. This was probably the least amount of fun since it was so cold and we were basically riding in a convertible. But, once we got their we got a quick demo and were off. The best part was at the end when you free fall, which I wish we could do again! Everyone in my family had a great time and it is definitely worth the money. We are hoping to do it again in the spring when its a tad warmer. Lastly, the pictures were priceless. You can buy all the pictures on a CD for $50 which is totally worth it. read more

This place was awesome! I did the SkyRider tour. I wanted to do the Super Skyrider, but their website recommended it for experienced zipliners only. Come to find out, it's only a suggestion; not a rule. Had I known, I would have done super skyrider....I love anything tall and fast!!! These folks are funny, kind, and efficient. They are super safe, and the zipline experience is unreal. You get great views and have fun in the meantime! You get your gear, and your group piles into this awesome off road vehicle. After a short ride up the highway, and then through the woods, you do the ziplines. I wish I lived locally so I could do it again....and again....and again! The icing on the cake is that at the end, they let everyone have one free ride on the tube slide thing in their thrillspark. read more

I've decided to save everyone the hows and whys I decided to go ziplining, but I did. I did the treetop tour, and we were the first group of the day. Everything from check in to arriving back at my vehicle was handled professionally, efficiently and in great spirits. The crew seemed genuinely happy with what they were doing, which was, in the case of the guy in front of me, talking a nervous 40 year old man into jumping out of a tree to what he believed was his certain death. We went to Alpine Adventures this weekend. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly! The atmosphere is very laid back with great tunes playing and the entire staff smiling and having fun! We did the bounce slide out back and it was a blast!! We all took multiple turns- everyone from age 7 to 47 loved it! We went back the next day for the Treetop tour zipline adventure. It was fun! Our crew- Devon, Steph and Ricky were fabulous. They made us comfortable and they made it fun. It is clear that they love their jobs! I cannot recommend this organization any higher! Our guide was john and my party if four had an awesome time! We did the tree top canopy tour. It was a great intro to zip lining plus had a fun little off road portion! I would recommend this for anyone interested in trying zip lining for the first or second time. I would certainly come back again and probably opt for a higher level course. So much fun! read more

Just went this past weekend and did the Skyrider tour. What a blast! It was quite frightening being our 1st zipline experience. The guides were wonderful. My 9 yr old son was about to bail and the guides talked him through it. What an incredible experience. Can't say enough about this! Can't wait to go again. read more

My 17 yr old son and I went here the last week of July 2014 and had a wicked awesome time. We did the off-road tour and had a blast. Absolutely Fantastic. My wife, myself and our 14 y/o daughter did the Treetop zipline and the "Thrillsville" aerial park and it could not have gone any better. All the guides were excellent (Gus and Rob got us all up, over and back safe.) We also rented the GoPro camera, and it took beautiful pictures (well worth the nominal extra cost), and the guides were always there to help with questions. Even though I'm a little queezy with heights, I could see that the over-the-top safety gear, well engineered course, and professional guides made it a no-brainer to jump out of a perfectly good tree and put my faith in all the statements above. We all had lots of fun and will definitely return. P.S. my daughter and I absolutely loved the gigantic tire-tube slide that shoots you into the air to land soft and safe onto a huge airbag. read more

Great time on the Off-Road Safari. This was our second time taking the tour. We brought along one of our grandsons and some friends of ours and had a blast. The trucks (Pinzgauer 712's) are truly an amazing vehicle, and our guide Paul really put it through its paces. It's a rather bumpy ride, but it's a whole heck of a lot of fun. Fresh, ripe blackberries at the top were a pleasant treat. Looking to go back for a third time in the winter and see how that is. Tip your driver if you appreciate the trip! read more
