Alpine Arborists provided a quote of $550 to prune my tree. I have it documented in email that they would accept the coupon. They refused to accept the coupon when it came time to pay. In addition, I was told there would be a 3% surcharge for using a credit card to pay. The quote does not mention a surcharge fee for using credit card. I was not charged a surcharge fee when I paid for tree treat the month before. A large tree branch was cut and left resting on branches that weren't cut. A few days later it came crashing down onto the sidewalk. Luckily no one was injured. read more

We were really impressed by Luke, the owner of this company. He clearly knows what he's doing and has a great team. We had a few estimates but he impressed us the most with his knowledge of trees and luckily his price was also great. Him and his team took down our tree in the heat of the summer, as well as pruned our other trees. He also did a treatment on our Ash tree to protect it, as well as came back and infused our maple with nutrients for it to thrive better. We will continue to use him! Thanks Luke! read more

Trimmed 5 trees. Will treat three trees on return. Was honest about a tree and didn't want to trim until it bloomed due to it being a maple and struggling. About a year ago I contacted Alpine Arborist with a question about an unhealthy tree. They quickly responded with helpful information at no charge. This year I asked them what they could do to further help the tree. They promptly responded with treatment recommendations and an estimate. Then they showed up as scheduled, trimmed the tree all nice, and charged exactly what they said they would. They will return in a few weeks to treat the tree. I requested a free estimate for the Ash tree in my front yard. Shelby responded to my online request and scheduled me for a contactless free estimate on Monday June 14th. Shelby told me that I did not have to be at home - they would come, inspect the tree and email me their recommendations, options and estimates. I have left at least two voice messages and sent two or three email messages asking for the status of their visit. To date, no one has bothered to return my calls or answer my emails. I have NOT received the promised recommendations, options and estimates. I'm extremely disappointed in Alpine Arborist - as I have used them in the past and found them to be responsive and very professional. I don't know what has happened to this company but they have made it very clear to me that they do not need or want my business. They are grossly lacking in Communication and Customer Service Skills. I am rating this a 2 because of their pricing. The men who showed up were courteous and did a nice job but what ended up being required, removal of a few tree branches and thinning out some brush took about 40 mins max. The original quote was $450 and that was what was charged. It really should have been a 250 charge compared to the work. I should have asked for that but I didnt get the impression they could have made that decision. But feel ripped off by the estimate. read more

Luke did an exceptional job on my two precious trees after our heavy spring storm, all the while patiently explaining what he was doing so I could learn. It is rare to see someone take such great care, pride in his work and also field questions from a curious homeowner. The trees look great and his clean up was thorough. BEWARE!!!! I was told the company would be here around noon. I took the day off work, and waited around all day for them to show up. No one ever came, no one called and their phone goes immediately to voicemail. Very unprofessional, if you're looking for a proper business seek elsewhere if I could give zero stars I would. ***UPDATE 8/21/19** This company can contact the Better Business Bureau company, but they are unable to apparently contact their own customers that want to pay them for services. Luke and Jess claim that they tried to call me all day on the 14th, and now all the sudden they are claiming that I told them not to set foot on my property. If you didn't have your phone on all day, how on earth would you possibly be able to call me? I know because I tried to call you all day, and and it went straight to voicemail Until you called me at 5 PM saying "ohhhhhh I'm sorry we're on our way now we got held up." You would have just been honest, I wouldn't be so upset. The fact that not only you've lied to me, you've lied to my mom, you've lied to your customers, and now you're lying to the Better Business Bureau, Just shows what type of company you are and what type of people you are. If I could go negative I would. Showed up for a quote. Gave me a price and I gave a coupon but it wasnt good enough because I should have produced it before the bid. Oh buey. I was to get an arborist but just a few guts no arborist and my dead branches are still on the tree. Just seemed to hack in a few places and call it good. Got a follow up this year on tree treatment. Was quoted a process good through nov 2021 but the price changed and went higher by 20 bucks. She... who came out for an estimate seemed bossy and arrogant so without saying, will never use this provider again. So sad as it's hard to find someone who isnt all about the money grab and not properly taking care of the trees leaving it lopsided and dead limbs. Not what I'd call an arborists job. read more

I have two large ash trees in my front yard. When I saw an ad for Alpine Arborists in the Brighton Blade I thought I would offer a local business a chance to trim some dead wood from the trees. Set up a time for someone to come out when I would be home, but let them know that they were free to come at their convenience to look at the trees as they were close to the road etc... They did come and left an estimate on my email address for over $1300.00. When I called to get an explanation as to what I would be receiving for my money and also requesting that the gentleman come out when I was around to point out what I wanted done(as opposed to what they deemed that they would do) I have yet to receive a call back or any correspondence via email. I find it amusing that the website for this company includes a line about being "worth the wait." I wasn't aware that I had to take that literally. Alpine Arborists are not the only game in town and not only would I not recommend them I would say don't waste your time as they are either too busy or too aloof to even respond. I didnt even have work done, my neighbor did, and the worker dumped all of the giant tree limbs all over my front yard and killed the grass I had spent 5 years and hundreds of dollars reviving. Also damaged my house. Of course nobody answered at the main office number during business hours, or returned my call to complain. I have had them cut trees down for me before and everything went great, which is why I called them for more work. I scheduled out over a month in advance and texted the day before to confirm an ETA. These guys told me they could help my sickly spindly old light green maple tree when I bought my home. Tree had evidence of past trunk injections. Clearly sick or? Alpine arborists Charged me 120 per visit to inject fertilizer twice with no results. I too tried my hand with topical fertilizer and many lbs of iron and sulfur applied with no results. Finally I consulted master gardener program and I learned my tree was in decline meaning dying and nothing would reserve it. It was past its life span..... Not happy these "certified" arborists wanted to keep charging me ( I'm on a small fixed income) to keep on fertilizing a dying tree. Seems making money is higher in their priority list than helping customer or actually able to help a dying tree. Did they know this tree was dying and decided to charge me anyway for futile services? I have to Question their knowledge or their honesty. Also had a spruce tree removed they were more expensive than other companies. I learned this when I looked at other certified arborist companies to take out this dying maple rather than keep on fertilizing it! Had set up appointment for Friday the 4th to have 2 evergreen trees trimmed. They didn't tell us what time they would arrive so my husband called and they stated later afternoon..well we waited until after 3 and I had a feeling the weren't going to show...so went online because I guess that's the only way they communicate to see if any updates well there was email stating they will have to reschedule for next day...okay but no one showed ..if you can't keep up then don't advertise your business if that's what you call it. or least have common courtesy to let people know. read more

I completed an estimate form online around 09/04, never heard from anyone so sent a text to the number listed and received a response that I was on the schedule for 09/16. On the morning of 09/16 I sent a text at 11:24/am to confirm and received a response at 12:04/pm that they would get me an ETA, never heard back. At 1:03/pm sent another text that they would need to let me know so I could open the gates and that I was headed to the barn in approximately 30 minutes, never received a response. Then at approximately 3:15/pm I hear my 85 lb LGD raising cane in the front of the house so I go up there and there is a guy at my front door from this company and my dog behind them barking at them. I told him "this is why I asked you to let me know when you were coming" got my dog leashed up and I took him to the trees. I was quoted $85.00 PER TREE to spray for spider mites and I have 11 trees = $935.00. I have a company coming out Saturday to do the same job for $95.00 total! 1st - Bad customer service when a possible customer ask to be notified and the request is ignored. 2nd - Way over priced read more

Jeremy showed up on time and could not have been nicer. I had him come out to treat our beautiful ash tree to protect it from various harmful parasites. He took the time to walk our property with me and advise me how to care for several of our 20+ trees and explained why my burning bushes weren't growing. I will use him again and again. read more

Last year Jeremy came to my house and treated my tree for ash boring bugs. I called to have him come remove dead branches from the same tree. He stated he would be here at 9:30 in the morning. No one showed up and by 10, I called to cancel. While I did get an apology, I was told "I told you I would be there AROUND 9:30." I was told 9:30 as a set appointment time. Very unprofessional to not show up and then tell me "around" 9:30 - which I guess means +/- 30+ minutes. read more
