This is a huge area which offers blueberries, blackberries, peaches, and cherries. Blackberries were not ready yet when we went this past Memorial Day weekend. There is a decent parking area on the grass with staff guiding where to park. I suggest arriving early as the lot can get filled quickly. There is a $1 deposit for using their bucket or you can bring your own. The staff bag the fruits for you after getting weighed. The orchard offers rainier, bing, and golden cherries. Watch out for ant hills, my niece stepped on one inside the cherry orchards. Best to have a separate bucket for each variety of cherries, don't mix fruits in one bucket. It makes it easier for staff to weigh and properly price the fruits.

Such a great experience! Parking was organized and it was simple to get set up to pick. The blueberries were SUPER plump and sweet (end of May). The trip was well worth it, very enjoyable and calming.

A simple and clean farm with abundant cherries red and yellow , blue and black berries. Super tasty. Was an unplanned trip , but had a great time. Note : Happened to spot a snake around a cherry tree , so be cautious n do not leave the kids alone.

A short 45 minute drive from Sacramento Alpine Blue offers two locations to pick cherries and blueberries. We went to both locations and picked Rainer cherries, Bing cherries and Blueberries. We also purchased some Blackberries at the fruit stand. Pick your own fruit is a measly $3 per pound. Wandering the orchards and fields looking for prize fruit is so much fun. I highly recommend making the drive for fresh fruit.

Great family farm, abundance of different kind of cherries and for the little ones they can pick blueberries , great service and great people ! I recommended Alpine farms in Stockton

This place is huge, they got variety of fruits but some aren't ready yet. It's a good place to go with friends & family. We got here early to beat the heat, a lady told my mom they open at 8am. The blueberries are not so big but sweet, the cherries are crunchy, sweet & huge.I wanted some black berries but they were not ready to be pick. The red cherries are $2/lb and yellow are $3/lb

My family and I really like this blueberry farm. I stumbled upon it while searching for blueberry farms open on Sundays because most berry farms are only open Monday-Saturday. This one is open 7 days a week from 9am-5pm! We like to go bright and early- right at 9am when they open because it gets too hot in the afternoon, especially in Stockton. You can bring your own buckets or you can borrow their small buckets (they require a $1 deposit for a bucket, and you'll get your $1 back when you return the bucket). They have blueberries, cherries, and blackberries right now. The price per lb varies but when I went last week, it was $3.50 per lb of blueberries. Also, they sell honey by the jar ($12 per jar). *Due to Covid-19, you must wear a mask*

Debbie advised me of the rules (don't go into neighbors space) and I was free to roam & pick as I wanted. This was a great therapeutic experience, and the cherries taste amazing! Price was $4/lb. Originally it was just cherries for sale. Now its cherries, walnuts, and did I see T shirts too? At the backyard past the bathroom is a sandy play table, surf swing, motorized kids cars, trampoline, jungle half dome, to allow the kiddos let out some energy and tables to sit & chat at for adults. Their chicken coop has moved and grown, and the owner had helpers helping and two tents out instead of 1. Its lovely seeing his business grow and I hope to see a pumpkin farm in his future like he desires. I'd say call and see if he opens it in October. Support local family businesses. His prices for cherries are more than competitive at $3.50/lb vs the $5/lb down at Lodi Blooms nearby. I cant remember his price for walnuts, only that they are incredibly healthy and taste good chopped up in salad and that their stamp on the brown bag is so cute. His cherries are organic and sweet and also a balancing tart. We ate our entire $40 batch of cherries within 3 days and was bummed when he closed by his 2nd weekend open. Protip: See him as soon as he says it's open. Dont wait. I liked the little things there that makes our family's experience complete each time...his kids are very sweet and play with my kids when we come and although it's a small benefit, we all seem to need his bathroom and a good hand washing at some point of our stay. It felt welcoming to be able to use his cool tempered & clean bathroom in his home when we needed it. Not some stank, commercial Porto potty outside. He also welcomes a few shoots at the basketball court. Overall, its our annual welcome-to-almost- summer, school-is-almost-over cherry picking spot. Its healthy outside time for the kids and adults & I recommend Burge Farm very much. I suggest checking Facebook or call (Oscar is very good at responding) for updates on opening and closing dates. Support local business.

I highly recommend this farm for cherry season…read more I went today (Saturday, May 7), which was the first day of cherry season at John Podesta Farms. Why did I rate them five stars? Let's find out. 1 star = organization 1 star = price 1 star = variety 1 star = customer service 1 star = bathrooms Here's the longer version. **Organization** I love how organized they are. You start by visiting their website and getting yourself on the notifications list. Then, when summer gets closer, they send you an initial text gauging your interest. If you're still interested, you get a second text asking you how many people you plan to bring and how many pounds you plan to pick. Then your final text is your reservation with directions, the liability waiver, instructions like bringing a bucket and a ladder, etc. This is the most organized place I've ever picked fruit at. As an organized person myself, I was very pleased. The only piece of information they don't tell you in the multiple communications that would be helpful is that they open at 9am. So, I showed up at 8:15 and had to wait. **Price** Where else can you get cherries for only $2/pound? Nowhere in California that I know of. Even if you add the price of gas for the round trip drive, I bet they're still cheaper. As a reference, they ask you to bring a 5-gallon bucket (you know the ones they sell paint in when you have to paint a house), and if you fill that bucket to the top, it only costs $60. **Variety** I picked only bing cherries while I was there because I was on a time limit, and I didn't have time to frolic, but I know they have bings, rainiers, brooks, and corals. **Customer Service** The owner of the farm is so helpful, upbeat, and friendly. He's got a great vibe that just gets you in a good mood. You can tell he's passionate about the cherries, and that passion is contagious. **Bathrooms** I know, you're probably thinking, who gives an entire star for porta potties? Let me tell you who. The adult woman who has a bladder the size of a toddler's, that's who. And it's not just the fact that they have porta potties that makes me happy, but there's also a hand washing station with soap and paper towels to dry your hands. During a pandemic, that's a really nice touch, don't you think? (worth an entire star, amiright?) So, there you have it. 5 stars for this cherry orchard. I will definitely be back.

I was going to bring some to a family lunch gathering as to contribute to the spread. First of all this market is kinda on a fringe area of Stockton, on the fringe of suburban living and agriculture living. So this is not a well trafficked, well stocked store. Looks like the store once had a refrigerated produce area but is now all unplugged and vacant in that corner. Not a good look. You can get basic shelf stable stuff here like beans, limited canned goods, sodas and disposable kitchen stuff like napkins. Pretty much what you can get at any mini mart, except this is much bigger in size than a mini mart. Looks like they were once a more full-service grocery store for the farming community but is now being scaled back. There is still a nice meat market towards the back. Nothing is prewrapped, you have to go through a counter person. Very limited offerings that gear towards Mexican cooking. Chorizo, different meats sliced super thin to be grilled (asada), and some things marinated. They did have an impressive selection of big steaks however, which is not really a big part of Mexican cooking. Huge steaks of strip loins beautifully marbled, monster tomahawks and even thick short ribs. Most of those were like $23ish/lb. Don't know why they also carry these primo and expensive cuts as the area doesn't seem to match that market. Unless farm peeps are into expensive beef that I was not aware of. But if I only came here and just got this beef, my rating would probably be much higher. This stuff passed the eye check no problem. But I ended up trying their prepared food so my rating is based on that. I first tried ordering a whole grilled chicken as I've had good experiences with Mexican slow grilled chicken. I usually love how they season and grill. But was told they weren't doing any whole chickens that day, on a nice summer Sunday. Otay. So I went with some grilled ribs that were $10/lb. I had no clue what these entailed but since I was already there, I just did a quick substitute. Ordered 2 lbs., paid, took the receipt outside to the tented grill station and waited. After about 5-8 minutes I was handed a heavy bag. The ribs were cut up and totally stuffed into a single to-go box. They were nice and meaty. BUT they totally weren't grilled or bbq'd ribs. They were boiled (WTF?!), cut, placed in a box and drizzled with cheap bbq sauce over the top. Zero stint over a grill! I was flabbergasted. Lol. I didn't think this could be a thing in today's world (the 60s - 70s maybe) as those days simply weren't as caring or knowledgeable about food. This isn't my area so I didn't have the guts to return this laughable prepared food product. So I just kept it, put it in the fridge at my aunts house and took it home when I left. I did not use it for our gathering, I am too prideful when it comes to treating my family/friends. When I got home I washed off the cheap bbq sauce, cut the ribs in smaller chunks and recooked it with salsa verde I had in the pantry. So basically like Chile Verde. It wasn't awesome but at least I didn't waste money and/or food which always bums me out. Also tried a Vampiro with carne asada ($5/3*) since they also do some taqueria fare out in that 'bbq' tent outside. I ate it there in the parking lot fresh. A vampiro is basically a crunchy shelled taco but the shell is just a flat crisp corn tortilla. The bottom tortilla was the best part, super crisp with good corn flavor. Topped with a good amount of finely chopped carne asada which was nice, and was the reason why I tried this. To try their beef here, since I was just eyeing their nice meat cold case just 15 minutes prior. The meat was marinated so really couldn't really taste the beef on its own. Definitely lime and spices. Then the rest of the vampiro is totally topped and drowning in salsa and crema, so the beef got lost even more. Womp womp. I usually have decent luck when I kinda go off the grid. Not this time unfortunately, a total miss. I would come back and get a steak or 2 from their butcher's counter, but I won't get anything cooked here again. Bummed to say the least.
