I had a very disappointing experience at this doctor's office. I started coming here in 2021 when I turned to this practice after being told by multiple other doctors that there was little they could do for my food allergies that caused me to uncontrollably fall asleep. Dr. Gardner, who has since retired, recommended LDA shots. He put me on a three-year plan for these shots, which have been a lifesaver. Over the course of about two years, I received these shots, and they were working well. However, there were recurring issues with appointments. There were occasions when I scheduled appointments, showed up, and was told they didn't have the shots or encountered other problems that required me to return another time. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this ongoing issue made me hesitant to rely on this place as my primary source of treatment, especially considering that my insurance wasn't accepted there, and I could barely afford the shots. Fast forward to today, and I scheduled an appointment, took time off work, and paid upfront. During my visit, the receptionist suggested I schedule an appointment with a care provider because it had been a while since we had discussed my treatment. I declined this offer since I preferred to see a different doctor for my routine check-ups. The receptionist then falsely claimed that they were legally required to see their patients once a year, which I knew wasn't accurate as I have the right to choose my healthcare provider. As I was in the process of receiving my shot, the nurse conducted some routine checks and then unexpectedly informed me that I needed to go to another room, which happened to be a children's room, an unusual move. Without warning, one of the doctors or care providers entered the room and began berating me about the necessity of setting an appointment and fostering a "special relationship" to administer the shots. Their tone was incredibly rude and unsympathetic. Frustration led to a less-than-polite response from me as I inquired if there was any way to proceed with the shots, given that I had taken time off work and was in dire need. I felt that the situation could have been handled with more empathy and transparency. However, the response I received was a resounding "no" from the doctor, who also suggested that the front desk should have informed me about these requirements when I scheduled the appointment. This was news to me, and I expressed my disappointment at not being given a heads-up. The doctor then insincerely apologized, and when I challenged this, he appeared to chuckle to himself before departing. I subsequently requested a refund for the prepaid services, but due to an issue with their system, I asked if the charges could be transferred to a different card. The front desk personnel engaged in an argument over this, prompting another customer waiting to intervene and urge them to process the transaction. It's disheartening to witness the evident focus on financial considerations over patient care. Regrettably, the current care providers do not seem to embody the same patient-centered approach that characterized Dr. Gardner's practice, which leaves me deeply disappointed and frustrated with my experience at this doctor's office. read more

My rating and review had been been 5 stars. I had received fabulous, up to date GYN care. But not any more. As soon as you start using Medicare as your primary insurance, you can still be seen, but everything, labs included, come out of your own pocket. If you are retired and on a small fixed income, find another Doctor. read more

I have been going to this clinic for over 10 years and I am finally done! Dr. Steven doesn't listen. He does what he wants. I went into an appointment for my Thyroid and came out with a High Blood Pressure prescription. The intent of my visit was to check my thyroid again because something wasn't feeling right with the medication I was taking. It hadn't been for a long time. He checked my blood pressure and said it was that. I explained that I had downed some caffeine before coming to the appointment (more than normal) but he didn't listen. Not only that, he did nothing about the thyroid prescription change. So I left the office frustrated, no change in current meds, plus one on meds for high blood pressure ( which by the way stabilized when I came down off the caffeine). In addition, my wife called this week to make an appointment. They told her they had an appointment available in a couple of days and we scheduled to get my blood work and thyroid checked AGAIN to see if the problem could be fixed. We showed up and they said, "You don't have an appointment today." We told them we did. Their response, "Oh, we have been having problems with our computers. We will see if we can fit you in." Fit me in? I had an appointment! Well, not only did they not have the appointment THEY told me to come to, the couldn't fit me in because they had a "company meeting" that afternoon. I walked out. Just left. Then they had the nerve to call me back and ask, "Are you out in the parking lot? The nurse is here to take your blood." Yeah, no. I will never go back. He may have an MD (or does he?), but that place, in my opinion, is getting more and more incompetent. read more

I wish we had the option for zero stars. I am very disappointed with my experience with NP Shauna Chriss. I had brought a list of how I perceived my health was declining. Hair loss, fatigue, insomnia, etc., even though I exercise regularly and eat very healthy. I also have a scaly patch on my nose that is pre-cancerous, and intense pain on the ball of my foot (it felt like I was walking on a stone). Shauna Chriss just gave me a cookie cutter approach to my hormonal health. The pelvic exam was probably the shortest and the least thorough I've ever experienced. There was no checking of my ovaries or uterus. Just above them for 1/2 a second, which was very perplexing. I explained how my body is sensitive to meds and supplements. I only need 1/4-1/2 of a dose for it to work. I spent $250 on vitamins on supplements. I was told by Shauna to stop all my other vitamins and use the Alpine Clinic ones. I was desperate enough to get better and have that miracle solution. I had to quit them after a week. The dose was so high that I was getting a rash, which is common for me when I get too many vitamins. Again, I felt like it was a cookie cutter approach to taking vitamins. Several times I made a comment, and shortly later, Shauna Chriss would ask a question to which I had already given an answer in my comment. She did not LISTEN. The pain on my foot was dismissed with, "Oh! I've felt that, too!" She didn't even look at my foot to see what the problem could be. I had to follow up with another doctor because the pain was so intense. It turned out that the pain was due to my second toe being longer than the others, so that phalange was hitting the floor first and the area was extremely swollen. I had to get a special insert for my shoes to take care of that. If time was an issue, I would have been very happy if Shauna Chriss had said, "We don't have time to deal with that specific issue. Can you make another appointment?" And I would have! Nothing was said to address the scaly patch on my nose. My cholesterol is naturally high (280 on a good day). I explained that I had switched to a plant-based diet to help control that without medication. Shauna Chriss immediately told me that grains cause high cholesterol and told me to get a book that supports paleo. Well! Research does not indicate that plant-based causes higher cholesterol! In fact, my blood work came back with my cholesterol 20 points lower due to my (correct for me) diet! Shauna Chriss seemed out of sorts and uninterested. She even got testy with me when I complained of dizzy spells and heart pounding during the day and middle of the night, and told me to go to a heart doctor. I saw her in the foyer as I made my follow up appointment. She stared at me. I smiled. She continued to stare without response. And then turned and walked out. Strange lady. I cancelled my follow up appointment. I am not going to make a 90 minute drive to be treated like my health is not that important, and like I am one in a long line of a cattle drive. That was a LOT of money spent on nothing. I'm hoping to find another naturopathic doctor who will actually listen and tailor solutions to my specific body type and needs. read more

The Alpine Clinic has been a life saver for me. I have many complicated issues and I have received so much help from Dr. Garner in sticking with me and figuring it out. LOVE THIS CLINIC I have been extremely happy with the doctors at this clinic. I would bring my grandchildren here if they lived close enough! I would not be afraid at all to bring them here. Always professional, knowledgeable, and willing to take time to listen. They have vast knowledge of both medical and natural means of healing. I love having choices and options. I was just there Friday for a serious infection. The antibiotic is working great and I am feeling much better. I was a bit surprised at the Matthew H. post. Wow. Calling people idiots if they don't think like you. Seeing alot of THAT around the country these days. I thought immunizations were to keep one from contracting a disease. Maybe they just don't work. Hope your kids stay healthy and normal after you shoot them up with chemicals. I had measles as a child and by golly I am fine. So are my other 4 siblings who had it. Fortunately I had parents that used alternate medicine decades before it was popular. read more

I had a neutral experience the first time I went to this office. I returned less than a year later to have a medical recommendation completed for an adoption profile. Though it is standard practice to complete this form so long as you ve been seen within a year, the doctor refused to do so. They required I be seen again. Ironically, my insurance won t cover another physical because it s been less than a year! Honestly, though I am annoyed with their refusal, it was the way I was treated that left me feeling frustrated, belittled, and nearly in tears. I felt that the staff who took my request were beyond unhelpful--they were rude and condescending. Honestly, I won t ever return and I cannot recommend this office to anyone. When dealing with medical problems and issues, you should feel that the doctor and staff are supportive and sympathetic. read more
