Very cute pastry shop in Evergreen by a creek. Serene vibes! All pastries I took a look at were homemade. I ordered an apple pastry and one filled with chocolate. They were quite pricey and I was taken aback by my total but went for it anyways. Just be prepared for like $5-$6/pastry. Both pastries were delicious but the chocolate pastry was my absolute favorite! Wished I bought another. Service was fine. The team wasn't overly friendly but of course possibly just over customers and/or introverted. I WILL go back next time I'm in Evergreen.

Their gluten-free cupcake was dry and flavorless and a complete rip-off for $6

I recently got 2 dozen gluten-free cupcakes of theirs for a birthday party. The buttercream icing was good, but the cake itself was terrible. It was completely dry and tasteless. I wouldn't have minded if they hadn't cost $135 for 24 cupcakes. That's almost $6 each for something that was borderline uneatable. While I really like their normal baked goods, their GF items so bad they shouldn't even sell them much less at a premium price.

Cherry Scone and Apple Turnover. You can't find them like this anymore!!!

The donuts are absolutely amazing! Prices are reasonable and the owners are very nice and ready to explain any pastry they have.

I am visiting my brother and his family- I have two nieces and one nephew so I'm looking forward to seeing if they enjoy their first taste of homemade fudge. The owner was super helpful, they have lots of other offerings as well like old school candy and popcorn. I hope when spring comes around the foot traffic will help boost business. Once I get an idea of whether the kids liked it, I'll post an update.

He wanted one if the toys in the store. I was a few feet away getting candy. He started to take the toy off the shelf and the owner yelled at him. I walked over and noticed a sign on the display that said do not remove. I told her he can't read and waited for her to finish up with another customer. When she was finished she was VERY rude. I asked if she could get the toy for him since he isn't supposed to touch it. She ignored me and I said " he can't read your sign". She said parents should stay with their children, mind you, this is a tiny store and my son is well behaved. She then told me to get out. The google reviews back up my review. As I walked out a woman on the street told me she had a similar run in with this lady. It must be hard being that miserable. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN ON THIS STORE.

Alyssa was absolutely wonderful to work with from beginning to end! She was incredibly responsive,…read moreaffordable, flexible and so open to all of my ideas. I sent her several inspiration photos of what I envisioned for our wedding cake, and she immediately made me feel confident that she could bring it to life -- and she absolutely did! Because we were planning our Colorado wedding from out of state, one of the things I was really looking forward to but thought I might have to miss was getting to actually taste our wedding cake before the big day. I had essentially chosen our flavor without ever tasting it! Once I finally got into town, I asked Alyssa if there was any way I could purchase some samples. She put together the most beautiful tasting box with HUGE portions, and everyone who tried them was obsessed. Everything was delicious, but her carrot cake was SO good that my husband and I ended up getting a little carrot cake just for ourselves! What really stood out to me was what Alyssa did afterward. The DAY BEFORE our wedding, she reached out to me while she was at the grocery store and asked if, now that I had finally gotten to taste everything, I still wanted to stick with our original flavor or if I wanted to change it. She explained that she buys everything fresh and could absolutely switch it if we'd fallen in love with something else. I hadn't even asked her! That level of thoughtfulness and flexibility the day before our wedding meant so much to me. We ultimately stayed with our original choice -- vanilla almond cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream -- and it was absolutely delicious. Our two-tier heart cake was SO cute and turned out exactly how I had envisioned it. Alyssa also recommended doing a half-sheet cake in the back in the same flavor, which ended up being such a smart decision. It made serving our guests incredibly easy and gave us plenty of cake without needing a huge display cake. Beautiful, delicious, affordable and made by someone who genuinely cares about making sure you're happy with what she's creating. Alyssa was such a great part of our wedding experience, and I would absolutely recommend her!

Very torn on the Muddy Buck - it didn't live up to my expectations…read more The good: 1) The ambiance! They have the mountain town atmosphere and decor down. The seating is a fun mix of tables and comfy couches, plus outside patio seating. There is a selection of board and card games available, and a slightly tucked away book for those who want some privacy (as I did on my morning visit, to take a work call). 2) The chocolate chip walnut cookies are SO good! Definitely get it warmed up. 3) Free wifi. The less good: 1) Given they roast their own coffee I had high expectations on the taste of my latte but it was just okay, nothing standout. 2) The cinnamon rolls are another thing the Muddy Buck is known for and maybe I just got one from a day-old / less fresh batch but it wasn't that great. The edges were crispy - not sure if that's intentional - I prefer my cinnamon rolls soft & pillowy. 3) The service is hit-or-miss and their overall workflow needs some adjusting. After most orders the cashier would walk away and tell the next person in line they'll be with them in just a few minutes, even if it wasn't that busy. When I got my Italian soda, I didn't get my cookie - I was told they were still working on it (it was in the display case) - yet my friend who ordered after me got her soda and cookie at the same time. I had to go up again to ask for it. 4) They're inconsistent with their use of disposable vs reusable packaging. My latte was in a to-go cup despite dining in and plenty of reusable mugs hanging there. Cinnamon roll came on a plate. Italian soda was a to-go cup. Cookie was in a to-go bag. They have both reusable and disposable silverware. Some adjustments are needed IMO.
