After a morning walk around Evergreen Lake with my parents, we were in need of sustenance. After walking around the little Main Street area, we decided on Muddy Buck for a bite on the patio. It's an order at the counter and wait for your name to be called, kind of place - so we did just that. We all opted for NA beers and sandwiches - Dad had the BLTA (minus the A), the Turkey for mom and the loaded Veggie sammie for me! We snagged a cutie table on the patio and waited about 10 minutes for our food to be ready. Everything was so fresh, full of flavor and messssssy, but in the best kind of way. The space is quaint, cozy and offers a fun layout - and quirky furniture. Staff is super nice and welcoming. Delicious and priced well. What more could you want? I'll be back :)
This was the cutest, coziest little cafe! We stopped in while at a pit stop to explore Evergreen with a tour group. The minute we stepped in, the cinnamon roll smell hits you and it was sooo good! They had so many good pastries but I knew I had to try a cinnamon roll from the smell alone. I got one FRESH right out of the oven, with a generous amount of icing that was perfectly melty on the warm bun. It's also HUGE and was a great deal! The staff was so kind and friendly and warm, especially commendable when there were a rush of tourists. Lots of space if you want to sit and relax there!
This place is adorable. Cute lodge cabin feel to it and very much so coffeehouse vibes. We got to play games and chill for as long as we wanted. That chocolate chip cookie was so classic, makes you think your lol made it. And the cinnamon roll was delicious!! Great service and kind people there :)
My hot chai with oat milk was spectacular! I've never been able to stop here during high season because traffic and parking are just too much. It is such a great cafe, cozy, warm and spacious. Like many of the old structures - it is built into the side of the hill. The service was friendly and welcoming. I met up with my hiking pal at the cafe to catch up. I left with a blackberry danish and some freshly roasted beans from Muddy Buck. I hope to stop here again soon!
Love the ambiance of this place. They have indoor and outdoor sitting. Even have a little nook in the back where you can enjoy your latte while sitting in a comfy chair and just savoring it or reading/working. Lot of flavor options for Italian sodas as well as for their other beverages. The food is also really good and the portions are huge!! I got two meals out of my trailblazer salad. Friendly staff.
Beautiful quaint coffee shop. Got a chocolate chip walnut cookie and a homemade cinnamon bun homemade icing Service was great and very kind. Needed some fuel after our hike

Stopped in for a late afternoon pick-me-up and was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Muddy Buck. It's a pretty big space with a bunch of chairs/couches and tables to hang out at. There's a cute little nook in the back that was a cozy spot to enjoy our coffees. My husband and I ordered 2 iced bevs- I got an iced latte with house made vanilla syrup and oat milk and my husband got an iced Jolt & Joe with the vanilla syrup and cream and both were absolutely delicious. It was one of the best lattes I've had and that vanilla syrup is damn good. They also had a tray of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies right by the counter we had to try and I'm so glad we did. DELICIOUS! I wanted to take 5 more home. The woman working behind the counter was super sweet and gave great service (I wish I caught her name). Will absolutely come back here.
Cozy place inside! Sat on the comfiest couches waiting for the coffee. They also had a ton of coffee syrups that it was almost overwhelming but I think that's a good problem to have haha. Def a good safe place for a coffee fix!
We were on the lookout for a cute cafe like this on a snowy weekday in evergreen. We stopped in and were shocked at how charming the Muddy buck is. The sweet lady who made our lattes did a wonderful job and it paired perfectly with the chilly weather and cozy cafe vibe. The cafe has an adorable arrangement of seating options from sofas, to outdoor pub style and practical tables for larger groups indoors. We sat on the sofa as it was so comfortable. We also noticed how there is a cute seating area directly ahead when you walk in that looks like you're at your own home. We would absolutely love to come back if we ever visit evergreen again.

Very torn on the Muddy Buck - it didn't live up to my expectations. The good: 1) The ambiance! They have the mountain town atmosphere and decor down. The seating is a fun mix of tables and comfy couches, plus outside patio seating. There is a selection of board and card games available, and a slightly tucked away book for those who want some privacy (as I did on my morning visit, to take a work call). 2) The chocolate chip walnut cookies are SO good! Definitely get it warmed up. 3) Free wifi. The less good: 1) Given they roast their own coffee I had high expectations on the taste of my latte but it was just okay, nothing standout. 2) The cinnamon rolls are another thing the Muddy Buck is known for and maybe I just got one from a day-old / less fresh batch but it wasn't that great. The edges were crispy - not sure if that's intentional - I prefer my cinnamon rolls soft & pillowy. 3) The service is hit-or-miss and their overall workflow needs some adjusting. After most orders the cashier would walk away and tell the next person in line they'll be with them in just a few minutes, even if it wasn't that busy. When I got my Italian soda, I didn't get my cookie - I was told they were still working on it (it was in the display case) - yet my friend who ordered after me got her soda and cookie at the same time. I had to go up again to ask for it. 4) They're inconsistent with their use of disposable vs reusable packaging. My latte was in a to-go cup despite dining in and plenty of reusable mugs hanging there. Cinnamon roll came on a plate. Italian soda was a to-go cup. Cookie was in a to-go bag. They have both reusable and disposable silverware. Some adjustments are needed IMO. read more
Muddy Buck Coffee was exactly what I needed on a morning when I wanted to sit somewhere cozy, sink into a couch, and pretend I was being productive. I was craving a homey coffee shop moment, something cabin-esque where you can relax without feeling rushed. Muddy Buck delivered. Comfy couches, warm wood vibes, and the kind of atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. I did forget the book I meant to read, but that worked out because I ended up having a really lovely morning playing games with a friend instead. The coffee was solid, and the pastries were warm, soft, and pillowy. But the sleeper hit here is the Muddy Buck chocolate chip walnut cookie. Gooey, perfectly baked, and genuinely memorable. One of those cookies you keep thinking about later. If you're in Evergreen and want a cozy, relaxed coffee shop where you can actually sit and enjoy your time, this is the spot. read more

We were on the lookout for a cute cafe like this on a snowy weekday in evergreen. We stopped in and were shocked at how charming the Muddy buck is. The sweet lady who made our lattes did a wonderful job and it paired perfectly with the chilly weather and cozy cafe vibe. The cafe has an adorable arrangement of seating options from sofas, to outdoor pub style and practical tables for larger groups indoors. We sat on the sofa as it was so comfortable. We also noticed how there is a cute seating area directly ahead when you walk in that looks like you're at your own home. We would absolutely love to come back if we ever visit evergreen again. read more
The atmosphere has the nice coffeehouse vibe. It's dark, cozy, a bit moody. The dark roast drip coffee was a good, solid cup. Not bitter. Robust taste you look for in a dark roast. The Cinderella latte (a specialty concoction for the season) was a cup of creamy sweetness. The espresso was lacking coming through the drink. The avocado toast with tomato relish added was tasty and satisfying but the bread could have used a longer toast or toasted twice. The bread was too soft for the toppings. The raspberry cream danish/croissant was delicious. There was a nice amount of raspberry for the size of the pastry and the croissant was flaky and fresh. Fresh was the key to this pastry. I went back a few days later to get a Raspberry Crown but it wasn't as good because it tasted day old. The croissant was dry and not crisp or flaky. The blackberry cheese danish must have been made the day I went back because it was flaky and crisp but not enough blackberries in it. Fresh made is always best. Staff was friendly. Evergreen is lucky to have this gem on the main drag of town. read more

Hot chocolate with oat milk Atge cafe is located in a the cute town of Evergreen. While on a tour, my group stopped here. I thought it the perfect time for a hot drink so, I ordered the hot chocolate with oat milk. The wait was long however,the staff was kind and were doing their best. My drink was served hot, which is good. The taste itself..not the best hot chocolate but, not the worst either. read more
Very pleased with this cute shop. On the pricier side, but the food here was delicious. Took a little while because they were busy, but they made every order fresh to order. Wish my caramel coffee was stirred, but no complaints whatsoever here. Would recommend for sure. read more

Super cute location in a lake side town. I ordered the iced chai & breakfast burrito. I don't think the tea was sweetened, but maybe that's on me for assuming it would be. The burrito was hot & fresh and I loved the cilantro in it. Indoor & outside seating and it was bustling on a Saturday even early in the morning. The girls behind the counter were doing double duty...taking orders and preparing food. read more

Oh my gosh this cafe is amazing!! My family and I picked up coffee and breakfast one morning and each dish was better than the last. The atmosphere inside is so cozy and adorable too. I had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant that was to die for. My step dad said the breakfast burrito was one of the best he's had. We also got a warm cheese danish to share that was steller. Their coffee is great too!! What a neighborhood gem. read more
