    Soup & Salad Combo
    Emma J.

This is my go to restaurant when in Evergreen; it hits the spot every time! We went the Friday after Christmas around 2:30pm and it was quite busy when we first got there, but quickly died down. We ordered the meatball sub, the hot Italian grinder, the BLT, and the soup and salad combo. Everything as usual, was fresh and delicious but I will say since I was last there, their portions and prices have definitely increased and sharing a sandwich between two would totally be fine!

We had breakfast here before walking around Evergreen Lake. It was a solid choice! We ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo and green chili and the tomato & chorizo grilled cheese with tomato soup. The grilled cheese even came with a side of potato chips. Portion sizes were generous and filling. The vibe is casual: you order and pay at the counter, food gets delivered to your table, and you bus afterward. Water and to-go containers are self-serve. Definitely low-frills, but the food hit the spot. Not too loud inside. I even saw a few people working on laptops. Great spot for families or groups. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if I was in the area, I'd happily stop in again.

    Weakkkkkk

What a pitiful sandwich for almost 20 dollars. On top of that, they continually take the Heat miser off the menu. If you can make a French dip then you can make the heat miser.

    Chicken biscuit and breakfast croissant.

Awesome breakfast!! We had the chicken biscuit and it was HUGE!! The breads and pastries are all on point.

Day old sourdough on special. Tasted fresh as the day before.

Yummy food and great views. Sat on the patio with my pup and enjoyed lunch. The kitchen forgot to put cheese on my sandwich but the woman at the counter got it fixed right away. They even have bottles of wine and day old bread specials. We got a few kinds of sourdough, and enjoyed looking at the cute shops all around after. They have their own parking lot too which is nice.

Two things!! The most amazing almond croissant! Loaded! I can't stop thinking about it! And the Stout 14 hour braised corned beef brisket, two eggs, balsamic onions, fire-roasted poblano peppers, horseradish parsley crema, and chives, served with breakfast potatoes and French country sourdough toast. This is something you must try at some point! Both these solidified my admiration for them. I want them in my life like forever! I was a fan before. But I wanna live here. ( if they will allow me): You haven't been? Go now!

    Spicy Italian on Baguette

I think this place is relatively new to Evergreen. It's on the second floor of the plaza it's in but not difficult to find. The food is delicious. I'll just start there. I ordered the spicy Italian which is my standard order at any deli or sandwich shop I go to. They asked what kind of bread I wanted, and I said baguette as if I would get it on ciabatta. I thought it was a very good Italian sub, but it was definitely not spicy. There was a steady stream of customers that came through. I'd say about half stayed to eat and half got food to go. Everyone else in my party got grilled cheeses. Those also looked amazing. The breads behind the counter all looked great and I'm sure we will get some at some point. The coffees look to be predominantly self serve, so if you order a cinnamon coffee, you get to put the cinnamon in yourself. Also, reusable silverware is at the end of the bar. It's the same place the disposable silverware is as well. We weren't told that so I looked like a fool when I asked where I could get some. There are a couple of various oils and charcuterie paraphernalia for sale there as well. Lastly, the bread lounge is great for people watching! Go eat there and watch your neighbors! Maybe we'll see you there!

    Biscuits and gravy, 2% latte.

Biscuits & Gravy is the BEST I have had, grilling the fresh biscuits gives an amazing texture and flavor. Seasoned potatoes, bacon-pickled onion garnish...chef's kiss. Friendly staff, clean, neat dining room. Add this to your must have list! Took a bite of the hash and it was excellent as well

When I visit from NC, a stop at the Evergreen Bread Lounge is a must. The sandwiches are incredible and the bread divine.

Wow. Just wow…read more Nora's Speakeasy might be one of my favorite cocktail spots ever. The vibe is dark, elegant, and cool without trying too hard -- it really feels like a secret hideout (but in the best way). Drinks? Insanely good. Their "Nora's Version" menu reimagines classic cocktails with modern twists, and every single one we tried was a hit. Balanced, bold, and beautifully crafted. Food is simple but hits the spot -- charcuterie, grilled cheese, and pretzel bites that pair perfectly with the cocktails. Bonus: You get a welcome sip when you arrive! Such a fun touch that set the tone for a great night. Run, don't walk. Louisville, you've got something really special here.

I saw it had good ratings online; unfortunately I came on a day my stomach was already bothering me but I wanted to have a look. It's a very low light, date night vibe inside. The barista was super friendly, and I saw online they'd had a very sweet cocktail from a few years back - I asked her about it and she didn't have all the ingredients but offered to make me something similar. I declined because I felt like i shouldn't be drinking with my stomach feeling off, but it's exactly the type of place I like to check out, the menu was cool. I will definitely try to make it back one of these days when passing back through the area! Also had lots of free street parking all along the main road ~

That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

I am very torn about this review, especially considering all the other rave reviews…read more.. Love the ambiance and love the staff -- it's a really cool addition to the neighborhood. Cozy spot for some classy bites and cocktails. I think I probably got off on the wrong foot when I asked for sparkling water instead of flat and found out it was $7 per personal mini bottle (and they don't have club soda). My first time encountering that in Denver in the last 14 years... The cocktail concept is cool: pick a classic, slightly updated, or super creative version from 5 categories (martini, old fashioned, sour, spritz, highball). The spicy mango sour (with mezcal) was awesome -- although I expected egg white on a sour. The martinis were ok... a bit of a let-down in today's collection of Denver martinis at other local spots (think anchovy, sour cream and onion, holy trinity, and old bay). The food was also hit or miss. We loved the cauliflower/potato Bravas with the slightly spicy sauce, as well as the croquettes and their sauce. The tuna crudo was super bland, which is disappointing for $19.
