He recently got ill, and my friend took her baby to a local veterinarian. (not this one). They gave her some ....difficult to accomplish goals for her administering medication to her dog. This dear soul is 74 years old, and not able emotionally or physically to do what she was asked to. Happenstance had her and I chatting via Facebook that night, and she told me she was worried about her boy, and told me what the Vet had told her to do. I won't get into it, but I was very angry because a 74 year old woman can not do what they asked.......she was getting ready to take out a payday loan for the vet......., and she lives on a VERY fixed income I told her to PLEASE take her boy to an EMERGENCY PLACE on Sunday, and have him evaluated and treated. I knew the dog was dehydrated and needed IV fluids......and other things, but I knew he would not last long without being seen. She did, and here is where Best Friends comes in. She took them toBest Friends Animal Hospital.... I had told my friend to give them my number (because I was going to help her pay). They called me, and I spoke to the Veterinarian TWICE. The did a PHENOMINAL job of taking care of Teddy, and were so polite, and helpful. They were conservative on treatment, but still fully addressed the issues, and in several days her little boy was ready to go home. Labs drawn ,IV fluids overnight with TLC, antibiotics given, some teeth pulled and a dental. It was step by step. First they gave fluids and drew blood. Waited for the result of that (and it was good) before progressing to the dental. It was responsible, caring treatment, based on what is best for the animal. The Veterinarian, a lovely ,skilled woman...... (Dr Brizkon) (forgive me if I mis spelled it).....said " I treat every animal as if it were my own". That is obvious. I can not say enough about the front office people who had this stranger they had to call, who "said" they were paying for the bill. (as well as the Techs, and Veterinarians) I told my dear friend I was paying for half, but as she was visiting her boy, I was on the phone paying for the rest. She did not know until check out. My wife totally supported me in this. So after all this is done, my friend tells me she has been taking her pup to nursing homes to help the elderly.................God works in mysterious ways.......but I would trust ANY of my animals with this animal hospital, and staff.....any day.

The entire staff was incredibly kind, and the doctor didn't try to sell me on a bunch of additional treatments. I left paying an incredibly small amount for a rabies vaccine and a full exam. Fast forward a year and a my doggie had a dental emergency. I knew I didn't want to go anywhere else, so I waited for the morning and they got me in same day. I saw a different doctor who was equally amazing. We knew we needed to get his tooth out asap (very infected and swollen) so he was able to rearrange the schedule and get him in first thing the next morning. We ended up doing a full cleaning while he was out, and I told him to do x rays and other services to his discretion. He ended up not needing to, and was able to keep my bill to a minimum. I was SHOCKED that with all the services we received I was able to keep the bill under $1,000. (Eval, difficult extraction, anesthesia, cleaning, rabies booster, additional meds during procedure, etc.) It's a great feeling to know that your pet is in the hands of someone who is truly just trying to do what is best for them and not to inflate the bill. They dealt with my anxiety with ease and even my dog didn't seem to be on edge. 100% recommend taking your pet to this place.

Dr. Werner is willing to think outside the box and he really takes his time and explains things thoroughly. So my dog was hit by a truck and we rushed him into Moore Lane Vet Clinic. My step daughter is a…read morevet tech and examined the dog prior to taking him in and said he was very injured and he would not survive the night. I took him in to have him humanely put down but before we could explain they took him into the back and preformed examinations and procedures we did not ask for, only to tell us that the dog would not survive the night. To be clear on this point, anyone could have looked at our poor dog and within a few minuted came to the same conclusion. With tire treads in his fur across his abdomen and chest, he was not long for this world (he went under both tires). Moore lane refused to put down my dog until i paid them 700 dollars. They actually came out after doing ultrasounds and giving him pain meds to announce that yes there was nothing they could do and that they needed to put him down he was in alot of pain. Then they told me i would have to pay before they could put him down. I put it on my credit card because they were the only place answering their phones on memorial weekend and i couldnt stand to see our dog suffer anymore. My son was his favorite and so i left the decision of what to do with his remains up to him. He wasnt sure but decided that his collar was enough. They put our dog down. The next morning (the dog was put down the night before at about 8pm) my son had a change of heart and decided he wanted the ashes. I told him there was a chance they already disposed of his remains, but i would try. I called 4 times over the next two days and a desk clerk answered everytime, but gave me the same answer everytime, they didnt know where the remains were and they would call me back when they located them. The last two times they told me to stop calling they would call me if they had news. Its 4 days later now and no one has bothered to call me to say the obvious thing, they dont know where he is and they dont care. This business milked me for unnecessary testing, refused to put my dog down untill i paid, then didnt evem have the common courtesy to return a phone call. I hope everyone with pets reads this and will avoid this business at all costs. They are greedy hypocrites. Shame on you.
