read this whole review, its important. When I went there initially, I was concerned about them trying to sell me on flea treatment etc. when I was there to discuss dental. I guess I cant blame them for trying. I received an estimate of 2600 ish worst case scenario. I thought, OK its going to be 2500 to 2700 hidden fees etc. I looked around and saw that other places wanted 2800 to 3800 for the same treatment. I thought Ok, lets do it and see what happens. Well, I got a call during the surgery stating that it was only going to be 900 ish and that things were going well. I couldn't believe it. Their estimate was totally honest and when it didn't cost as much as they thought, they honored it. They could have easily charged me much more but did everything in my favor. I am a contractor and could hardly believe it. These guys are honest. Need I say more? read more

I relocated to the Snohomish area a few months ago along with my two dogs, ages 16 and 10. My older pet, a small mixed breed of unknown origin was becoming more and more feeble and began having seizures, and I knew it was time to let him go. I made a list of several animal clinics and began calling about having him euthanized. The first place wanted $250 and I couldn't be with him as he passed. When I reached Alpine View, I knew I'd hit a home run. From the receptionist I first spoke to, to the completion of this heart rending event, I was so very pleased with the staff here. Each person was kind, considerate, compassionate and went out of their way to make a horrible event as painless as possible. I would particularly like a shout out to Erin, the tech who was with me throughout the procedure. I was able to love my sweet little companion as she sedated him, hold him close and talk to him until the veterinarian gave him the final injection and he went to final sleep, peacefully in my arms. There are not enough words to properly thank these good people for their care. I will be going back there for routine care for my other pet. read more

I want to thank the staff and Vet so much for the wonderful service they gave to my dog Daisy for her final goodbye. I never been to this clinic before which makes this vet clinic even more wonderful as they still saw my girl without ever being seen there. Backstory: Daisy is my 10 year old pit mix she has been not feeling well for the past 3 days with lack of eating/drinking and weakness. Thinking this was a GI bug as she done this in the past and all sudden things took a turn to the worst on the 3rd day with intense coughing and passing out. I called their office at 415 thinking they were a ER vet which they are not, but I informed them Daisy symptoms and they inform me to come on in and they will work her in. Found out that these coughs were seizures as Daisy had episode in clinic and Vet was able to see the event. Given her state it was decided best option to prevent any more suffering was to put her down. Im heart broken of my losing my girl but Im very happy to see a vet clinic care so much for animals that they saw a dog they never seen before. I tried calling my normal vet clinic and explain the same symptoms and they didnt bother trying to work my girl in and told me to go to ER. Needless to say even though I live 35 min away from Alpine Ill be taking my other dogs to this clinic for now on. Thank you for treating my poor Daisy with love and care. read more

I love all the vets, technicians and front desk gals! I had ti put my boy Dozer down February 18, 2022. Super sad day and I'm still having g a hard time. They sent me a card with his paw print and nose but it was returned to them. I wish I remembered the gals name but she called left voicemails and tried hard to get a hold of me for months. She held on to the card and after my long vacation I finally called and she mailed it ti my corrected address. It was beautiful and I can't thank her enough it meant the world to me!!! read more

I have been taking my animals to Alpine View for over 20 years. They are no longer the compassionate and caring clinic of days past. Dr. DeMaris and Dr. Bauman your presence is missed. I looked the other way in 2017 when my dog was in pain and unable to walk. I was told I had to wait 3 days before a Vet could see him. Again, in 2018 another of my pets had a condition that was being treated, and then she started having seizures every 30 to 45 minutes. (The seizures were a known possibility.) The seizures lasted over a minute and caused her to lose her bowels. I knew it was time to let her go and relieve her from the pain and fear. I called in and again was told that I needed to wait for 2 days as there was no possible way they could 'squeeze' her in... far too busy for that. I was told that seizures are not considered critical enough to be considered an emergency. I had hoped that the recent change in staff would bring some of that warm, compassionate atmosphere back. Sadly, the atmosphere feels more like a for profit shop and merely a business, rather than a place concerned for the health and wellbeing of the beloved animals in their care. I can no longer recommend or support Alpine View that has been an integral part of my pet care since 1988. read more

I am conflicted with this office as they fell into some poor customer service in the pandemic. Lost me, my family, and referrals due to lack of communication from the front desk and isolating blame where there was no need and undeserved. At a very basic level of professionalism utterly failed when speaking to their HR manager. It a pity because we really like the Veterinarian. read more

I made a follow up appointment at the front desk. I was ask whether I would like to book an appointment or drop off. I chose to book an appointment at a time they gave me as available. I received email confirmation of the appointment as well as a meeting request. +1 star for the system. However on arrival I was told it is strictly a drop off and was never an appointment and that I had made the mistake. I tried to show the nurse technician the email confirmation and calendar invite that clearly states appointment 5 times in the body and once in the title but she refuse to look at it and insisted I had made the mistake. I will not tolerate this non negotiable attitude nor am I getting compensated for the time I took off work to attend the appointment I had booked. I asked to speak to a manager but instead didn't get past an arrogant vet technician wearing stupid plastic cat ears. This vet needs showed no empathy, had no concept of customer service and place all blame on me even in the presence of hard evidence to the contrary. We took our 9 week old Boston Terrier to Alpine Vet clinic & they welcomed us with open arms, so friendly & even Ellie liked them! My daughter has been going there to Dr Murphy for all of her dogs needs for the last 12+ yr. He's been great to her & so kind & caring when she had to take a badly injured 2 yr old to get stitched up & even a few dogs she had to have him put to sleep. I would recommend this clinic to anyone that loves their pet, they're the best! read more

They were not ale to help with what we needed. I needed to race to find a vet to give my healthy Golden Retriever dog medical clearance paperwork to catch a plane for a family emergency and get out of town. They were not willing to let us be a walk in and wait to be seen. So we had to use a different vet hospital. Seems odd that a vet hospital can't work something in for someone with a healthy pet and has medical records to just write the letter as a formality to the airline. read more

Got a quote to spay my dog and it was 250-300, dont rember the exact amount. I take a day off work and bring her in. They give me a price of $716! They said it is because she is 6 1/2 years old. The lady asked me if I told the person her age? I said no, she was in her file and you have been her vet for years! Our dogs and cats have been patients of both Dr. Schultz and Dr. Murphy for many years. We hold a high level of trust and appreciation in not only the doctors, but also the technicians and staff. They all work well together in making our visits as efficient as possible. The doctors are always straight-forward and honest, even when the diagnosis is difficult to deliver, yet kind and compassionate knowing these are our fur-kids. My dog was with another Vet in Kirkland (where we previously lived), he was diagnosed with Diabetes and needed to start insulin. We got the run around from the previous office so bad, just to get his prescription filled, that we decided we were done and in search of another Vet. So we looked closer to home and found Alpine View, they got us in immediately, got his records from the previous Vets office, and we were able to be trained in our dogs care and start his insulin treatments that night. I am very grateful for the time and care Alpine View took in getting a new doggy patient the care that he needs. We are happy with them so far, and my dog likes the belly rubs he gets from his new Doctor. read more

I used to love taking my fur-babies to this vet but it has gone downhill..I have now switched vets. I have absolutely no issue with any of the vet techs/reception. My issue is with the veterinarians (particularity one who seems to no longer care about his job or his patients) It is very obvious to the staff and customers. read more

I've had dogs all of my life, and have had experience with many vet clinics. Alpine View is by far the best clinic, with the best people. Dr. Schultz is an incredible, caring, responsible, professional and thorough doctor. She goes above and beyond what I would expect any doctor to do. Dr. Schultz takes time to listen, to ask questions, to explain, and to discuss the options. My dog has struggled with health issues, and I have felt so fortunate to have him in Dr. Schutlz's care. Beyond her excellent skills and care, Dr. Shultz is empathetic and kind, something which goes a long way when dealing with the stress of an ill (what is to me) member of the family. The staff at Alpine is also wonderful. They are always friendly, and helpful. I've called what, at times, has been probably too frequent, and they have always been patient, courteous, and helpful. I agree with another commentator that the clinic is exceptionally nice and clean as well. I had probably one of the toughest experiences of putting another dog down at Alpine. It was a very difficult decision, and it was after years and years and years of excellent care provided to him by Alpine View. They were so kind and compassionate during and after that process; it meant a lot to our family. I also appreciate that Alpine View's costs are reasonable. I have always felt that they have charged a fair amount and that they have never done unnecessary or unreasonable services. I am very grateful to Alpine View. Dr. Schultz has been a true blessing in what has been a difficult struggle with my dog's health. The staff has been amazing as well. Most importantly, my dog is always excited to go into Alpine View and even will cry when Dr. Schultz leaves the room--always a good sign. read more

Possibly the finest vet I've ever been to. The facilities are exceptionally nice and clean. From the front office staff, to the techs and doctors--all are very professional, friendly and caring. The vets take time to listen and are very thorough. One of the things I really appreciate about this practice is that they give you a comprehensive estimate for services, showing each service line by line. They give you a best case scenario along with worst case, and the owner has the option of deleting some services if desired. The vets take the time to call back with a thorough explanation of what's going on, then give you options for treatment. Inevitably with older pets, sometimes the best option is euthanasia, and the staff are all very caring and supportive for this very emotional time. When I needed to put down my Boo kitty because of inoperable cancer, the staff sent me a lovely card with his paw print and a tuft of his fur. Very thoughtful. The staff also doesn't hesitate to recommend another vet if they feel that the best treatment might be outside of their expertise, for example, acupuncture for my dog, and thyroid radiation for my cat. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this vet to anyone. read more

I have had amazing experiences with Dr Price and last week with Dr Quinn as well. Really wonderful people, caring and easy to talk to. We had a really scary thing happen and Dr Quinn really helped us thru it with kindness and reassurance. I came to this clinic several years ago because they take my discount card but have stayed because of the really great staff. I really couldn't ask for more and Loca loves them as much as we do, She doesn't freak out when we pull up like previous vet clinics. We wont go anywhere else! read more

The best vet clinic I've ever been to! I've had pets all my life (Dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters etc.). I've been to a lot of different vet clinics for the past 30 years. I cannot say enough nice things about Alpine vet! They have a great staff and great doctors. I love that the doctors are not pushy. They tell us how it is and what they say is truly needed for care or not needed. They don't try to work us up with unnecessary tests. They also let us know what needs to be done, and the costs before they do anything so we can make an informed decision. I also appreciate how they squeeze us in the same day. When our cat was dying with no known ideas from other vets, Alpine vet came to the recuse. They were the only ones to figure out he had a blood parasite. They saved his life and helped us financially with the bills. When we had to euthanize our beloved cat, Minnie, they were all so compassionate and caring. They sent us a hand-written condolences card with our kitty's foot print and a little clipping of her fur to remember her by. We were all very touched by their compassion. read more

I've used this vet for over 4 years. However, the care provided over the last year has really gone downhill. First, my adult male cat was having issues with what appeared to be a blocked urethra. Although I called before the clinic closed. They refused to see him, even on an emergent basis. I ended up taking him to a vet who was new to us and had never treated him over the last 4 years. The latest issue was with my adult female cat. After being seen in the clinic I was given an oral antibiotic suspension to give to my cat. However, in this form this medication causes massive foaming from the mouth where ALL of medication is expelled. I placed a call to the clinic after hours. The phone is answered by a tech NOT affiliated with the clinic at all. This was a total waste of my time. I was told to call the clinic in 2 days. This clinic has no desire to help ill or injured pets outside of their scheduled 15 minute appointment. Please do not take your pets to this clinic. read more

At first, we loved this place. Dr. Murphy treated my dog by crawling in the ground and just making the atmosphere relaxing. As him being a Rottweiler, many people get "scared" or judge mental when they see him enter a building. But they welcomed him with open arms which was super refreshing for me. He got his check up and we went on our way. I decided to bring my other dog Daisy there since I felt so welcomed. Both got their shots and check up and we're healthy pups. Duke started having bloody diarrhea and vomiting that started 5.5 weeks ago. I brought him in and we saw a new vet, they did fecal exams. Blood work, and gave him metronidazole. I was supposed to get a phone call about results which I never got. I never knew about the blood tests until I treated it 2 weeks ago. No one called to check up on him. But the Blood work came back with some indicators he had an infection. A week went by and he still wasn't better. We scheduled for an ultrasound. Came back ok besides he had inflammation in his small intestine. So I called to make another appt and was spoken too very rudely. They talked to me as if I don't understand what I'm saying. We saw the vet. Some more metronidazole and some more testing for possible Addison's disease since some of his litter mates has it. That came back negative. Decided to start a 6 week B12 injection that I pre paid for. They then told me "there's nothing else we can do for you." While my dog has lost so much weight, sicker than anything I've ever seen. After being told he can just get "squeezed in" for the B12 injections because it takes not even 2 minutes they told me I couldn't bring it home. 2 days ago we went to the ER in lynnwood and the emergency vet told me I need to switch vets because they don't care enough to come up with another solution. To just say "nothing else we can do" will ultimately lead to my dog dying. He isn't even 2 years old yet. The emergency vet prescribed him some steroids and nausea meds because he has IBD. Today I called to tell them what was going on and since he his due for his B12 then we could just get it all taken care of at once. I was put on hold and spoken to rudely. I tried to explain that I was TOLD he could get squeezed in. The lady on the phone then told me no one said that to me. Then proceeded to tell me he can get it tomorrow. Which he can't. I take Wednesday's off from work FOR this reason. So if I needed an appt, why wasn't one made or even asked when I was available? No one has called to ask how he's doing. No one communicates anything. This place is just as bad as our last vet. read more

I took my cat there thinking he possibly had a blockage...male cats have that happen a lot. So, these idiots decided to first of all, take my cat in the back without me...which is red flag number one. Then, they did large animal x-ray (which is normally saved for HORSES), which is unheard of for internal organs (uh, ultrasound ring a bell?) So, my cat peed all over his crate SO the diagnosis should have been EZ, but not...400 hundred dollars later, I think not! Oh, by the way, did I mention I am a Vet Tech? Yea, didn't tell them either...scammers...watch out!!!!!! Never will I ever go back to this place....yea, they were nice but I am nice too, where's MY CUT???? I take both my cats here for their veterinary care and Alpine View has been great - from taking care of a kitty bladder problems to check ups and boarding, they have been caring and professional. There is one thing that impressed me about them recently, and that was during the time I sent my cats to their kitty motel for a week while on vacation. One cat loves people and is Mr. Curious George in an orange coat, while the other is much more shy and reserved, and really doesn't open up for any one but me. When we returned from vacation and picked the cats up, I learned that due to the extra space they happened to have available at the time, the cats had their very own room, not cages, were visited and played with several times a day, and pretty much lived in the lap of luxury while we were gone. A few days later I got 2 cards from Alpine View Vets. When I opened them I was surprised to see photo cards with pics of my kitties - one for each - with a hand written thank you note, and a personal note about each cat and how they enjoyed their stay. The notes let me know that they really did pay attention to my cats because they got it right on the personality of each cat. The cards still sit on my desk - even tho one now has a chewed corner from a cat who may have recognized herself in the photo! Even tho Alpine View is not the closest vet to my house, I continue to go there and will for as long as I have pets. read more

Have been taking my 2 cats to Alpine View since I moved to Monroe over 2 years ago. The staff is always very friendly, the doctors take their time to discuss the issues, and so far they've been able to squeeze me in for emergency appointments. One of my cats had a several bladder infection and had become completely blocked. (I knew he was in pain, but thought he might have a bowel obstruction). Dr Murphy provided stellar care - listening to my concerns and recommending x-rays and additional tests that allowed for a quick and correct diagnosis and treatment that undoubtedly saved my cat's life. His follow-up and subsequent care was excellent. My other cat has also had some issues (they're both getting old), and based on original appointment availability has been seeing Dr Creslin-Schultz, who has also provided excellent care. We're still trying to determine if this cat is just neurotic or has some physical condition, but I don't feel that Dr Creslin-Schultz has left any avenues unexplored. Alpine View feels a bit expensive, but my prior vet was in Idaho and I didn't have as much need for their services. Overally I feel that my cats are receiving quality care. I originally went to Alpine View because they were only a few blocks away from my house, but my cats will continue to be patients for a long time to come. read more

I was sad to hear after waiting for a few weeks that the ashes from our family dog was dump into some lake with no follow up call to make sure if any changes were made from the dogs owner. Today we brought our 17+ year old cat, Bear, in. Bear knew it was his time. The Vet ( a wonderful woman whose name I can't remember) and the Tech (also a wonderful woman whose name I can't remember) helped us and our daughter (who was on video chat from Ellensburg) through the process of letting him cross over the Rainbow Bridge. Beloved dog given wrong cremation We had to make that final decision for our dog Harley that nobody wants to make. We brought him him to Alpine View and the vet tech and vet were very compassionate during the process. The vet confirmed Harley was having a private cremation. The vet took us to the front desk and they also confirmed a private cremation and my son paid for the private cremation. We were told pickup would be in 1-2 weeks. We recently called to find out when we were getting Harley back because it had been a few weeks. The girl at the desk had no idea where Harley was so we received a call the next day. My son was told his beloved dog of 8 years was given a general cremation. Apparently, some idiot didn't tell the back room of the private cremation...so our dog was just dumped with every other dog. And his ashes were spread already and that was it. The reaction was "oh so sorry about that but this hasn't happened before and we are good at what we do". So that is supposed to make us feel better? This can NOT be undone. They refunded my son the money. They can not take away the mistake, their aloof reaction to the mistake, or the fact we don't have our dog. I would never go to this place again. If something happens to your beloved pet, they will tell you its never happened, they are great people, they dont make mistakes, blah blah blah. My dogs are members of my family and I value the care they receive at alpine view. I live in Bothell and feel the quality of care is worth the drive to Monroe. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient, and the vets are amazing. They truly care about your animal. They are great animal doctors and they won't up sell you. They don't order unnecessary tests. We can always get in in a reasonable time frame. Cost of office visit and procedures is reasonable. Best veterinary clinic north of Seattle!!!! read more

The clinic saved my cat's life. Another vet diagnosed my cat with cancer and I was told I should consider doing the humane thing of euthanasia. Turns out the lab work was wrong. Granted, my cat is ill, but I have a few more months to spend with my sweet old man. read more

Our Border Collie punctured her chest with what we assume was a stick and so we took her in for suturing and an exam. From start to finish all the staff we dealt with was wonderful. Our dog, normally a very hyper girl, was totally calm and relaxed with Dr. Bauman and Ashley who was at her side assisting. We have had only high quality care with Alpine Veterinary Clinic and would definitely recommend them. As an aside, their prices are quite competitive and they give you the price estimation BEFORE you see the Vet, so you aren't blind-sided later on. GREAT! read more
