I go with the used car. First thing - no "hi" or nothing. OK, no biggie, anyone can have a bad day. He (appeared to be owner/manager) lifts the car WITHOUT asking me ANYTHING - didnt' even confirm if I was the guy who made the call... and starts doing something. His just looks at stuff w/flash light.. and that's it. I've been to other used car inspection places and i can see them connecting their digital diagnostics tool to the car. This time? NOTHING. He just looks.. and that's it. Then I get a PIECE of paper w/scribbles on it. Can barely make out what it says. He does speak to me about what the issues are but there's NO report whatsoever - no measurements, no readings, no nothing. I needed this report to negotiate with the seller. He won't give it. Worst - he starts getting MAD and starts screaming that I'm asking "too much".. and that i'm bothering him in his busy time, when there was NO OTHER CAR at the time except mine. I keep asking for something more detailed since i'm getting it from a dealer and it's gonna be looked by pros. He tells me to pay additional $150/hr and will give me formal report. Worst part - he is screaming and pestered at 11 AM in the morning on a WEEKDAY. The dealership's sales employee was with me .. and he even screams at this poor guy - for WHAT? I never asked him to talk to the dealer's sale guy. He's mad b/c im asking him to give me more detailed report? All in all, TERRIBLE experience. I've done 3 used car inspections the past month - and by FAR, this was the WORST. Will NEVER EVER go here again. I question all the reviews on this shop.

So I took my car in (2016 BMW X1) with a transmission warning light. This is after two other mechanics had already looked at it. Dave called me with a recall notice on the shifter. When I went to pick it up he gave me the print out and wouldn't take any money for the Diagnostics he did! And it was just in time because the recall was expiring in May. Honest and knowledgeable. Dude at the counter is like 'ya definitely need all new tires, this tire has a HUGE hole that can't be fixed and has no tread'. (Next day I had it patched at Riverside in Saddle Brook) Meanwhile, in the real world, before I sent her there I had removed the tire to find the source of the leak (small nail) and I checked out the tread. So, essentially the counter dude was not accurate, to say the best, untruthful to say the worst. Anyway, there ya go.

The car stalled on the highway rt 23northbound and was towed to Jack Daniel's Kia. After some investigation I found the vin# for my car was a part of a class action law suit for engine problems and engine oil leakage &replacement. But, they didn't make it easy . I had to find all of my oil changes etc even after contacting corporate which said its a part of it. But, I found all the records I could to satisfy them to get it approved. They replaced the engine , but still tried to place blame on someone else. They said whoever replaced the 1st engine used silicone to fix the hose that connects the washer fluid to the engine. I told them well that would be JackDaniels Kia. They denied doing the 1st engine replacement. So ,I did my investigation and went to another dealership who told me that they Jack Daniel's Kia had indeed replaced the 1st engine. So , why lie??? Then after they replaced the engine and we picked up the car my girls were on the highway and we're almost killed by oncoming traffic because the car stalled and would not start causing vehicles to almost hit them . Trucks etc. Their excuse was they forgot to attach the harness / clips to the engine. After they did this , they gave us back the car saying the car was good 2 days later the car stalled the engine stopped they almost get hit on rt 23 by a Mack truck once again its towed to Jack Daniel's Kia this time they say the car needs coils I say ok that was $897. So , between the tows to the shop and the repairs im at about $1400. Now they can't seem to get the error codes to go off . They tell me its going to be another $1600 but can't give me the parts or labor for this . But , its $1600. Christmas and New Years have pasted and this is their solution. I tried to talk to Jason luzzi but hes not available even when hes in the office to help a customer. I had enough of dealing with Charlie Mejia so I had my vehicle towed from Jack Daniel's Kia to a dealership who cared about their customers and were available to speak to them when there was a problem. After 2 weeks my car was diagnosed a plan was made and shortly after that it was fixed. My car was sent from Jack Daniel's Kia with a dagerous gasoline leak to name just one of the dangerous issues they left the car with. But, checked off as safe. It's sad when a dealership doesnt give 2 cents about its customers . Yet they sit in an office making big bucks to go off running personal errands and doing whatever they want .You got that position because at one time you cared about your job.
