I normally do not write reviews but I felt it was important to share this experience. Magic Mike or whatever you call him comes off as a SCAM and so does the Auto Shop. We had an in person verbal agreement, he told me in person that an AC service would cost $100 and when I had my son drop off my car for me, he charged my son $225. He up-charged my son because he's a teenager and looked like a perfect victim. This inconsistency between the initial quote and the final charge was very disappointing especially when I was referred to this shop by a friend who is also their customer. As a customer, I value transparency and accountability, and I believe businesses should honor their stated pricing and commitments. I called him directly and called him out on what he did. When my son picked up the car and paid for the invoice, he decided to take $25 off the invoice. What a nice guy? LoL! Magic Mike the Mechanic is also Nice Mike the Mechanic. Although I'm an older woman who could easily be being robbed blindly by Mike since I know nothing about cars (robbers please don't take note) I totally trust him. He explains the repairs to me, not that I understand but still...., and patiently answers my ignorant questions about my car concerns. When I'm in a pinch, he'll squeeze me in so I try not to take advantage of this, giving him two weeks notice for repairs if they're not urgently needed. My male friends who go here say he is an honest mechanic as well, so I'm trusting my instinct he is. Wish I found them earlier, I tried New Tech Auto Repair, the guy showed up over 1 hour after he said and he punched wrong month on inspection sticker. I tried Orangeburg Auto Repair and their careless tech scratched up brand new car for new car inspection. I tried Palisades Hyundai and they tried to scam me over failed wipers, which were new. However, Route 303 Auto Repair was fast, efficient, friendly and no funny business when it comes to inspections, which seems to be rare. read more

I can't say enough good things about this shop. Mike is a great mechanic and very honest. I've been taking my cars to him pretty much since he opened up, including my nearly 30 year old Mercedes. I needed a new tire due to a slow leak. My regular garage is closed on weekends so i went here. They found the tire beyond repair and ordered a new tire for the same day. These guys are experts at finding problems with your that either don't exist or need much simpler less expensive solutions. Stay away. They domage tire pressure sensor of the rear tire while putting on winter tires. "Just drive few mile and will get fixed by itself." When they replaced the sensor, 4 weeks later, they short it and also the front one got broken. Also, very very very rude people. Unprofessional, dishonest and rude. read more

My first time there I immediately noticed the quality of work and customer service from this business and have been coming back ever since. I was working hours away from my home in Southern New Jersey when the upper radiator hose started to leak and overheat my 2017 Ford Transit 250. By luck I was right near a garage where he promptly told me he was short staffed and couldn't help me even if he had the hose. I purchase antifreeze and was on my way. I was able to find an advanced auto parts store where they informed me that nobody carries this hose. The owner of 303 Auto Repair was there an insists I drive to his shop and he would do what he could to help. Not only did they start working on my van the minute I pulled up, they were able to find an old hose that would work to get me back on the road. These guys are awesome! They saved me from missing work and a very expensive Uber. I can't thank them enough for helping me. read more

Ive used 303 auto a handful of times for inspections and to repair a couple of tires. They always get me in and out for inspections and give me honest recommendations and competitive quotes for any work that needs to be done. They've never failed me on a inspection or tried to tell me I needed work done to pass inspection. Price for a inspection hasn't changed in 2 or 3 years. read more

This is my favorite auto repair shop they do both good and bad service here... the good is that they give estimates for repairs and is timely.. but the bad is i went there for an and sensor replacement they replaced it and said it should be good but they forgot to hot the reset button luckily my dealer did for free. read more

We did not have a very good experience. Our car wouldn't start after they did some work. They denied it was anything to do with them and wouldn't compensate for the tow. We feel cheated. After getting fixed at 260 Auto in Haverstraw, our car is running perfectly. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. After Accident, Brought my Turbo Porche here. Paid the man close to $5000 for repairs. A week after, Parts have been falling off. It started with bumper, When bumper fell off, I realized everything inside was taped with electric tape! OMG Broken pieces from the accident has simply been taped... Making matter Worse, Porsche dealer have notified me that parts use were replica. Now we are in processing of suing them. Putting replica parts in vehicle is Very Dangerous and they are total crooks. Stay away! The even managed to mess up a NYS Inspection. Part of the inspection involves checking to see if brake pads are adequate. 2 weeks later when my mechanic when to put new tires on, we discovered the pads were completely worn, one of which was metal on metal, requiring a pair of rotors to be replaced as well. STEER CLEAR. at least telling me about the pads would have been nice. something like that is deadly had it caused an accident. read more

Every time I need 303 Auto Repair in a pinch they are super helpful! Michael works hard to fit me in even with little notice. The prices are reasonable and the car is always ready when they estimate it or before. I decided to finally write a review because I have a flat tire and once again, they can help me out right away! Do not waste your time, money or energy dealing with these people. The owner is a straight up crook. Giving this repair shop a rating of 1 star is too high! If you look on google, which I should've done, you'll see that every single review had a bad experience and gave him 1 star. I brought my car in because it was over heating. They told me I needed a new radiator. They replaced it but the car was still over heating. So then he says it's the "head" without ever giving me an explanation of what he means by "head." After he dodged that question, I should have stopped right there and brought my car to a legitimate repair shop but I gave him another chance on good faith because he portrayed himself as a church going man. So a few weeks go by and he doesn't contact me once. I decide to call him and he says now its an engine problem. He tells me he can either rebuild it or replace it with a used one. I tell him if he can find a used engine for cheap then go ahead and do that. He tells me it might take a while to find a used engine. A few months go by and I haven't heard from him. I show up to the shop only to find that he decided to rebuild my engine without my permission. The worst part is, he made it even worse! Now the transmission is messed up. Its almost like its stuck in 1 gear. I decide to sue the guy but I ended up losing because I couldn't afford a lawyer and I probably didn't have enough evidence to prove that he essentially destroyed my car. So at this point I don't even care about losing, I just wanted my car back and I wanted to never have to deal with this guy again. Now this is where it really gets interesting. The guy refused to take the money that the court mandated me to pay just so he can keep my car in his lot and probably just to piss me off. So this whole fiasco has been going on for about a year and a half and I was finally able to retrieve my car a couple months ago after a few mutual acquaintances helped convince him to stop being an a-hole. I'll admit, I should have never let him get this far with ripping me off but I think my experience shows what kind of person this guy really is. And I think his character showed when he decided to refuse payment just to stick it to me. And if you're wondering, yes this man is Korean and from Korea. I'm also Korean and I can speak Korean fluently so there was no language barrier. And I just want to say that this man in no way, shape or form represents what Korean people are like.
