I was unsure what I wanted to try out but I knew I wasn't traveling to Canmore to try mainstream so when I found Haskap and Lemon on the menu, I had to try that. For those who are curious, Haskap is a antioxidant rich berry with a taste profile that crosses a blueberry, raspberry, black current and elderberry sans the seeds. Haskap and Lemon was a big hit for me. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It was nice, creamy and who knew that mixing berry and lemon together held a nice balance! If you're able to, I'd encourage you to eat outside. The mountain views are amazing regardless of the time of day.

We had a small wedding party, so we did a smaller cake and a lot of cupcakes, tiered. They turned out BEAUTIFUL. The top part of the cake we carried around with us and ate every night of our honeymoon....great memories! Beavertails came up and we saw they had shops within Banff, so we decided to try them out after our lunch. They had a flavor called "mEHple" and since maple syrup is also a Canada staple, we figured this would be a good pick. What we didn't notice was the chocolate drizzle that was on top of the maple syrup in the menu photo. The chocolate overwhelmed the entire dessert, and was a bit too much for our group. The pastry was good, crispy and flaky, but we really couldn't get through the entire thing without getting a huge bite of chocolate syrup. I think if they had put less chocolate, or even removed the chocolate altogether and just left the maple syrup, that would've been way better!
