We ordered door dash, two x two slider combos with side of Mac and cheese and sauces. Honestly the chicken tasted like oil with absolutely no other flavor whatsoever. It was burnt and the lack of coleslaw it was just hard to swallow. Some bites were okay with actual chicken meat but some were just burnt crisp that tasted like oil. We got medium which was not spicy whatsoever. I feel like they forgot to season it at all. Fries were pretty good but obviously cold since we ordered online. The honey sauce was nothing special, I also could not taste it on my sandwich. The Mac and cheese tasted like Kraft with a shit ton on pepper. Horrible. I don't even think sauce would save it. I am looking for a new local spicy fried chicken sandwich spot...this one might have potential. For my first order I got the Waffle Sandwich and fries. An order of Mac and Cheese. 2 Tenders. added 1 Al's White sauce and 1 Al's Honey sauce. Overall I think the food items are terrible. I usually take a photo before eating for Yelp, but I posted my after because the food is just not good and the majority is still there. The waffles for the waffle sandwich was too doughy. I feel like it needed to be warmed up or toasted longer. The chicken and spice level for the sandwich was good. Fries were good as well. Wish there was ketchup to accompany them. (i really don't like the sauces I paid for) There was a packet of imitation maple syrup which brought a question mark to my mind. The mac did not have cheese in it. If so, it is similar to the powder you stir to make mac and cheese at home. No cheese, just color. The tenders were good on the spicy leve. I ordered the spiciest and it works. Nice little gem I found in Roscoe Blvd. This is probably the best spicy chicken sandwich salad I've ever tried. The sauce is 10/10 and the chicken was very crispy to every bite. Didn't have time to prepare my own lunch today, I work at the Kaiser right next door and decided to try this spot out. I ordered the #1 combo which came with the chicken sandwich and fries. First thing is, the parking is super weird. It's small but what you think is a pathway, is actually a parking spot. If there weren't cars there, I would've driven right through. Came in around lunch time and was pleasantly surprised with this establishment. I ordered the lunch special in spicy, a combo 3 medium, and the loaded fries with Mac. The crunch on the chicken was spectacular. It was also seasoned well, and I appreciated that it wasn't too greasy. The fries were also fried to perfection, and not too salty or over seasoned they were just right. I was given a sampler of their sauces, which heightened the fries. The loaded fries were so yummy. The mac could use a little more cheese and flavor if I'm being honest but I wasn't mad at it either. The customer service was very attentive and food was out within 15 mins as promised. This is one of those fun things in LA where you're like why do these things to together? Ok great let's do this. Al's Hot Chicken has Nashville style hot chicken, with Halal options. Why? Let's eat! The hot is pretty strong but I'd def come back to try some of the hotter options they can get pretty daring up there. I didn't find the hot to be like, straight buffalo sauce hot or anything crazy. I'm only taking a star away because the flavor was good but not amazing, but I am willing to revisit. Wow! Well seasoned, perfectly cooked tenders which comes with an assortment of dipping sauces. My favorite was definitely the honey sauce! The crunchy pickles that accompanied the tenders completed the entire meal itself! Very interesting but delicious seasoning sprinkled all over on the crispy golden fries. I had a look over the menu and there was no way I couldn't order the loaded mac n' cheese bowl. I got that with spicy chicken and boy did it deliver. First of all, I was expecting a typically bowl like you'd get at other chicken places but this thing was huge. Much larger portion than other places I've gone, I couldn't even finish it. The flavor wasn't really that great and for the prices you get very little to eat. Also, we asked how hot hot was and they had suggested medium so that was what we ordered however, we barely tasted any spice. He came home and we tried everything until we realized we just wasted our money. $50 spent on 2 chicken tender plates, 1 waffle and 1 Mac n cheese and NONE of it was edible... the chicken was BURNT, super dry and paper thin. The fries were soggy and bland. The mac n cheese was either stale or just undercooked. Decided to try some new hot chicken as Hawaiian and Main Chick have been a little inconsistent lately. Wife and I both ordered the # 3 hers with Mac and cheese mine with fries. When ordering, the website lists #3 as 3 tenders and fries while the description says 2 tenders. So had to order another tender. Received the food and noticed the tenders were much smaller than other places. #3 did come with 3 tenders. They only provided one small sauce with each meal. More sauces are needed and should be provided. No utensils were in the bag. The chicken was crunchy and well spiced. The dipping sauce was good but needed at least 2 more servings. The fries were mediocre to terrible. They did not fry them or season them enough. I would suggest upgrading your fries to Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was decent, very peppery with a good cheese taste. Overall I thought the food was good but could have been much better. I went inside today to buy food and use the restroom, I need assistance when using the restroom since I am recovering from surgery. I went inside with a family member so they can make sure I do not fall, the older manager kept on knocking and gripping on the handle. As soon as we both got out he kept yelling at us saying it is only for one person, he did not use his best judgement and kept on yelling and yelling. He lost a customer. That is not a way to speak to a customer. He could have been apologetic and said "sorry but the bathroom is only meant for one person use each time" Instead he decided to yell and degrade us. We will NOT be coming back. My entire family and I would much rather drive further out now than to come here, and we live close by. Very disappointing.. read more
