I hadn't been here in a while since Covid, for no reason really. Glad to come back. I love Korean Fusion food and my order of a Beef Kalbi Burger and BBQ Chicken Salad were both fantastically filling and satisfying. The portions were good and very tasty! Staff were pleasant and the interior was clean and pleasant. Prices are reasonable too. I was surprised to be the only customer eating in, Parkimg could be tight however when I was there I got a spot outside.
Delicious Korean food from a unique Korean fusion restaurant that serves traditional Korean plates like beef BBQ with rice and salad, but also Korean style tacos and burgers. The beef BBQ was flavorful and a generous portion. Fried shrimp is delicious. Strange choice of Christian music if you dine-in.
After a glowing review from Jason the Chao, we immediately set sail to Corner Grille. Such an unassuming plaza holds an incredible fusion gem which really captures the Korean American combo. The galbi sandwich on Hawaiian sweet rolls is a classic that we have all put together at some time and this menu item was a favorite. My personal favorite was the fried chicken sandwich on brioche bun, and the tacos were also delightful--we tried one of each. I would say that the fish and shrimp were decent but the other tacos were excellent! They even brought some ice cream out for us on the house--what a wonderful treat! This restaurant really embodies the valley--fusion done very well, with no pretense, in a plaza you would pass by and not even notice. We will absolutely be back, as we enjoyed every bite!!
Was quite surprised by Corner Grille. The location is kind of sketchy and from the outside it doesn't seem like much. However once I ordered I discovered this may be one of my new favorite spots in the valley. It can take a minute to get your food but the wait is definitely worth it. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. Pretty sure I've tried half the menu at this point. There's only a few people on staff but all the food comes out piping hot and fresh as soon as it's ready. Their chicken strips are phenomenal. Very crispy and good flavor. The Loaded fries are also a MUST have with the beef on top. Just utterly delicious. This is a meal in itself. I've also tried the wings, Tacos, Kalbi Beef Burger, Chicken Teriyaki, and Xango. All of them where just outstanding. The staff has always been very nice and helpful as well. I highly recommend.
I wish we had taken pictures before devouring everything, but that just shows how good it was! We ordered the beef tacos, which were packed with flavor and loaded to perfection. We also tried the medium spice chicken plate with salad and rice, the spice level was just right, and every bite was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we got the macarons, and they even surprised us with an extra flavor to try, such a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Service was excellent, truly 10/10. The young lady who helped us was friendly, attentive, and walked us through the menu since it was our first visit. The food came out quickly, hot, and delicious. This experience definitely turned us into loyal customers, we can't wait to come back!
On 5/19 I visited the restaurant to get lunch for my overnight shift. I've always passed the restaurant and wanted to try it based on the reviews and pictures of the food. I went in to order 10 piece wings, which after tax was $18+. Overpriced and I should have walked out but ordered anyway since my time was limited. The large boards, bragging about their excellent reviews additional lead to me staying. While still waiting for my food, I ordered a Western Hamburger also know the wings would not be enough. So the pictures and videos are below. I wasn't going to bother with a review but after talking with a person the next day saying that the wings are normally cooked burnt, it was my duty to let you know to not order the wings. Go to 7/11 where they are bigger and taste better. Also burnt was the onion ring in the burger. I grade this restaurant a D for poor execution and lack of accountability. These wings went to the stray cats at work. At least they enjoyed my money. Will never go there again after no compensation for a disappointing experience. The last picture is what I thought I was buying off the menu. $26 total for a terrible meal. The ambiance was empty as only 1 person was in the restaurant and 1 person waiting for take out.
A small hole-in-the-wall spot tucked into a strip mall--not in the best part of town and with limited parking. The setup is modest, with plastic utensils and a no-frills dining area, just a step above fast food. That said, the food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is warm and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you care more about flavor than ambiance. A suggestion is to remove the award winning signs from many years ago. It makes one think "what happened that they're no longer winning any awards". One can also assume, they're up only to hide what goes on in the kitchen as the separation between kitchen and dining area is a glass wall.
Amazing Burger!!! I ordered the Hungry Boy Burger & it was delicious! Every single bite was amazing! Loved the grilled Hawaiian rolls, the spicy beef made the burger more dynamic & bursting with flavor, bacon was great quality & plenty of it, the special sauce went perfectly with the burger. Overall great experience & excellent Burger!
Came here for lunch again! Once again, they were nice enough to give us some free potstickers they were just as delicious as the first time. Place was a little quieter this time it was during the weekday so maybe it was just a little slower this day. But the food was still incredible. My husband ordered the kalbi beef ribs and I ordered the spicy beef bulgogi and salad with a side of rice. I actually love their salad. It is so good and the dressing that they give you is delicious. OK so next visit I definitely need to tell them just to make it regular because when they say spicy even though I picked just a small spice level or I believe it was medium it was really spicy. I couldn't eat it so I ended up giving half of it to my husband and taking half of it to go. My husband loved the ribs though they were absolutely delicious if you'd like spicy I recommend getting these and making the spice level high on them. And once again, we had a great visit. Definitely a good spot to grab a quick bite. Highly recommend giving them a shot. Thanks for another incredible visit corner Grill.
Really great food! I got the bbq beef and I really like how they give you options for different spice levels. It was a good level of crispiness, flavor, and spice. The beef was still really tender too and didn't feel too salty. The portions were solid for the price and was a really filling meal.
One of LA's best kept secrets. The combination korean and Mexican cuisine is just unbeatable and encompasses the LA food scene. Kalbi burger was brilliant and the meat was tender. It was also packed with meat, very good value for the price! The korean bbq fries are a must. The fries were crispy and the sweet salty bulgogi with their house made sauce made a delicious meal. Came back to Corner Grill to try their Korean Tacos. It was a late-ish lunch on a Saturday, yet there were still quite a few tables of people eating a variety of foods. Staff was just as friendly as before, and the place still has that lived-in, homey charm. I ordered a pair of tacos: BBQ Beef and Crispy Shrimp. Both come with shredded cabbage, sliced jalapeños, cilantro and a creamy, mayo-based sauce. The shrimp taco worked perfectly, with a crispy, tasty coating giving way to plump, fresh shrimp. The sauce melded into the cabbage, almost making a slaw you might get on a po' boy, and the peppers added a nice heat. I added a squeeze of fresh lemon, and that rounded things out nicely. It was a great bite of seafood. The BBQ Beef was less successful. The mayo and an extra dollop of chipotle mayo were too much for the small taco, and overtook the flavor of the beef. The beef had a nice flavor, but was a bit too dry, and had been chopped a bit too finely -- I would have liked larger pieces to really enjoy the flavor. In fact, others were eating the BBQ Beef plate, and the beef there looked far more appealing. So, I'm not discouraged. I'll come back for the full plate treatment, and see how things stack up. I still think this is a great place that deserves your attention and support. Good people. read more
If you know, you know. We found Corner Grille years ago, and it has been amazing every single time. It's such a unique Korean-Mexican fusion spot -- flavors you truly won't find anywhere else. The combination sounds unexpected, but somehow it works perfectly. We've tried a few different items over the years, but the Chicken Korean Fries are our absolute favorite every time. Nothing like it exists. The flavors are bold, layered, slightly sweet, savory, and just combined so deliciously. It's one of those dishes you crave again and again. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot in a small shopping center -- super unassuming -- but don't let that fool you. It's 100% a must-try. Some of the best, most unique food is always hiding in places like this. If you're looking for something different and seriously delicious, put this on your list. We'll keep coming back. read more

Nice tacos! I got the BBQ beef tacos and got to choose the spice level. I really liked the flavor of the beef, and the taco was delicious. The portion seemed pretty solid too. We ordered online for pickup, and it was very time efficient. read more

So they still have wings on the menu! Just not available through certain delivery apps. I do wish the menu was the same across the board, but not a big enough deal to affect my rating. I ordered take out the other day with some friends; had wings, tacos and a burger and as expected, everyone was super pleased with their meals! read more

Wow, what a great Korean fusion hole in the wall spot I finally tried! This spot puts a twist on your typical burger or taco and brings in unique flavors to their food to make them unique at affordable prices! This is definitely gonna be one of my to go spots when I am in Van Nuys for sure! I came recently for lunch and ordered their most popular burger, the Kalbi, and I got a side of fries with it. The fries were on the thicker side and were freshly fried and were simple and they dipped well into the side of ranch I got. The Kalbi burger was excellent with so much meat packed inside in between delicious Hawaiian rolls with spicy mayo adding some heat and the cabbage and onions providing a great crunch! This is definitely a food coma sandwich but it's so good! Highly recommend trying this if you are unsure about what to order! Service was great and the inside was clean. My only gripe is parking can be tough to get when its busy during certain times but it's worth it for a delicious burger! I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area and I can't wait to be back soon for more! read more

One of my go to spots for their legendary kalbi burger which is hands down my favorite item. I've tried the tacos and short rib. The fries are a nice thickness vs scrawny. Parking is the only negative but for food this good I'll suffer a small lot lol 12/10 recommend this spot and I legit go for it if in the Hollywood area and gladly detour for it read more

First time coming to corner grille extremely happy I did. I was looking for a great burger place & they delivered. The woman at the register was very sweet and polite. Go in person, never order by phone because if you ask for fries, you get rice... Then, if you ask what happened to the cheese on a cheese burger, they say you didn't ask for cheese on a cheeseburger. So drive there and order in person because rice sounds like fries... runn.. by the way, prices from the pictures add $15.. to it. I love this place but, so disappointing today.. read more
Corner Grille is a great Korean Mexican Fusion food. Korean BBQ fries was really tasty and a must have. It is definitely a shareable item or a stand alone meal. I really enjoyed the chicken taco as well. The tacos are topped with pickled onions, shredded cabbage, spicy mayo, salsa, cilantro, jalapeño. The crispy chicken sandwich was also delicious and full of flavor with shredded cabbage and spicy mayo. I love how it was crunchy with every bite and just the perfect amount of sauce that didn't make it to sloppy or soggy. Corner Grille is in a small strip mall area with Yoshinoya and 7-11, so parking can be a little difficult. Staff was super helpful and friendly. read more
A hidden gem! The BURGERS. Wow wow wow. We also ordered the Korean tacos and Korean bbq fries. I love how unique the menu is here. The fusion is on point and DEELISH! From the outside, it looks like a little hole in the wall. We ordered online which was super easy. Order was ready within minutes when we arrived. We ordered the "hungry boy", shrimp taco, beef taco and Korean bbq fries with chicken. The meat all around was so flavorful and juicy. The bbq sauce was sweet and was so good on everything. The fries were a highlight and great for sharing! Highly recommend the burgers. I can't wait to come back and try more! I also loved the shrimp taco. I was feeling something filling and was looking for some protein so I decided to order from here! The Kalbi Burger had "Korean BBQ beef, pickled onions, shredded cabbage, spicy mayo, and special sauce". This was very hearty and I wanted to save room for the other items, so after a few bites, I moved onto the beef taco. This taco had "Korean BBQ beef, pickled onions, shredded cabbage, spicy mayo, salsa, cilantro, and jalapeño". Because it was smaller than the burger, I definitely finished it in one sitting! So good! And in between the larger dishes, I had some mini corn dogs that came with a nice sauce. Each item was delicious and the sauce they provided really gave each bite more kick and flavor. This place was amazing! I didn't expect that, we stopped here hungry as Fuck! On our way to see a car for sale. Pulling up to the parking center the restaurant is behind the Yoshinoa. It's a walk up counter style and they bring the food to table. The restaurant itself is small but has enough setting. We ordered a classic burger, korean loaded fries and the chicken teriyaki plate spicy. Wow the flavors are so amazing, this place is a true gem. Everything had great seasoning and cooked to perfection. Most set making this a regular spot! read more

The Kalbi Burger is nuts. The Korean BBQ fries are nuts. Those are your staples. But if you want to branch out, try the Chicken Sandwhich. I also tried their new ramen- it's about $7 and it's more of a loaded instant ramen (not like a boujie Ramen spot like you'd find downtown). It's good for the price.
