About 3 years or so, we had a truck stolen, the keys were lost, Al's Locksmith was able to enter the truck, make us a set of keys, and get us rolling in a reasonable time frame. Recently I bought 3 new exterior door handles/locks combination, to replace my 30 plus years old hard use with 5 boys, and they were rattling and loose. I took them to Al's, they keyed handles 2 to match 1 of the three, in a fairly short time. I thought the cost on the truck was very reasonable considering they sent 2 men a a truck. I thought the price on rekeying the 2 handles to match the 3rd was reasonable, service was as just before closing, but took care of me with good service, and making all locks worked perfectly smoothly. read more

Update to my previous review outstanding customer service I went with a problem they said they could fix but when I got there they said they couldn't. Went home, owner called and had someone come to my house to fix it no charge. Took em about 5 min or less. Very impressed !!! I'm happy now!!! read more

Super disappointing experience on 4/10/26. I called previously to ask if they would program an after-market auto key and was assured it would be no problem. When I arrived, I was told I should ask my husband or grandson (I'm not that old) to open my existing key fob for me to find out its part number, as if I couldn't do this on my own. Then when I confirmed that my key I brought in was the one that would work, i was told it wouldn't without them doing even a basic transponder scan (no cost, 30 second test) to verify their claim. When I asked if they would test it, they shook their head like it was impossible and and I was told to buy a key from them instead. If you like being regarded as a stupid female, go for it, not for me. read more

Al's Locksmith is top notch! I was out of town on a business trip and realized I didn't zip up my luggage where I had my keys tucked away. The dealership said that I would need to tow the car to the dealership. Then they would have to send my ignition in for a few days to get a precise key made. I didn't like that response so I called a different dealership closer to the Spokane Airport. They referred me To Al. I was able to communicate with him Via text. Great service! I read the reviews before placing my call to Al's Locksmith, and fully expected to schedule an appointment for a later date. But they were able to squeeze me in later, in the same day! My technician was friendly and courteous, and answered all of my questions. I had a stubborn lock, but he was able to get it working in no time. He even used his drill to quickly uproot an ill-placed door stop attached to the floor, something I wanted to do but hadn't gotten around to yet. It was just a thoughtful thing to do! I do not feel that I got what I requested from them. Deadbolt repair lasted less than 2 months!!! Then had to call them again and got billed again for the same thing!!! I did ask to do the job low cost since it is a rental property, but I still wanted it done well and correctly!! I would have gladly paid more for a job well done the first time around!! Not the case since I had to call them back in less than 2 months!! Needless to say, I will be replacing their cheap knob which did not lock for a front door knob??!! I called this business based solely on the reviews that I had seen here and they were not wrong. I had purchased an old pickup and the previous owner told me that the key was finicky and did not work all of the time. After trying to get it to work for myself and wasting 20 minutes, I decided to contact a locksmith. I requested a quote from a couple of other places and one of them still has not gotten back to me to re-key the door locks of my truck. (They will not be getting a recommendation). I looked up here and found Al's and requested a quote. The next morning I had a message and got a phone call and I was given a high and low of what it would cost, but Alex offered a suggestion before I had him come out first. Ultimately I needed the re-key. I asked Alex to come to my work where we could get it done there, He was prompt and on time. Actually he was early and I was coming back in from a quick run for food. I parked my truck and started to finagle with the existing key, and after about 10 minutes in the rain, I told him to not waste his time and just pull the lock. And once he started, I barely had time to get back to my desk before he called saying that he was done. I know that I could have ordered locks with new keys for about $40.00, but I would have had to screw with it. Alex gave me the bill and it was a whopping $76 for 3 keys that work. When running late for my scheduled appointment, he called ahead to let me know which is a simple thing, but shows his company's customer service level. I highly recommend these guys. I was very impressed with Al's Locksmith. I had lost my chipped key for my Lexus RX350. The dealer wanted $410 + tax ($445.67) to replace, cut, and program a new key. Al's Locksmith quoted me $175 and I thought this was a great deal. When he arrived, he made my key and only charged me $120 + tax ($130.44) because I had a copy already (my wife's key). Not only did he make a key that works great from remote lock, remote unlock, and remote hatch opening, but the key works great for manually unlocking the doors and starts the car up just fine. He could have stuck with his original quote of $175 and I would have been happy, but since he was honest and did the right thing, I can be no less than thoroughly impressed. Had my purse stolen as well as truck keys. Decided to call AL's Locksmith because they had great reviews that said prices were decent. I called 8:30am and made my appointment for 3pm since he said he had a busy morning. At 3:15pm I call because no one has shown up and I was told "oh sorry I never put you on the schedule only wrote your appointment down on a note pad". As I understand mistakes can be made we decided on a later appointment at 4pm. I called again and it took me three tries to get ahold of him at 4:20pm because he has still not shown, he laughs as he replies " yeah he is super close he will be there soon ". After three tries again at 4:40pm I called again because he still has not shown I get ahold of him finally to get the answer for him still not being there " yes he's coming he's 2 minutes away" but answered in a rude tone. He finally arrived at 4:55. I was very polite to the man the showed up and asked if he was the owner and he said no you were talking to him the whole time. I did not appreciate the humor he found in his employee not showing at the agreed time and I did not appreciate the tone he used after I had to call the third time because once again he did not show up on the agreed time.
