Completed a full reupholster on our 2003 Malibu Sun-setter in 2019. 7 years later, the boat cover is just now decomposing.

I had two wing chairs that were 37 years old and were threadbare. I took the chairs to Al's shop for reupholstering. I made a special request to add more padding in the lower front back area of the chair to support my lower back pain issues. I selected a jacquard fabric and Al went to work and did a masterful job. The attention to detail in his workmanship is self-evident and outstanding. The piping was tight and flush, and the alignment of the fabric was perfect. Al even added an arm and head cover of matching fabric. The additional padding and lumbar pillow support my lower back issue perfectly. The chairs were finished ahead of schedule and delivered to my home. The price was fair and reasonable and I could not ask for a better job. We were worried about the upholstery From our two expensive leather sofa cushions. We wanted to transition to a beautiful fabric but, as durable as the leather we had & coordinate the pattern of our living space. Unfortunately bc we love our pets they could play & be at home on these beautiful 2 PCs. At the same time they created a very damaged look on the leather sofas with their sharp nails. Fortunately, we found an incredible expert Craftman on Yelp ! Al, came to our home on a Sunday morning and presented us w a large variety of beautiful fabric samples. I called several upholstery shops from Sparks, Reno to Carson City. Al was the most responsive and gave me a quote over text after I sent him pictures of the pieces I was having re-upholstered. His price was very reasonable. Some of the fabrics had very large repeats with a dominate contemporary abstract pattern. The chairs would be placed side by side so it was extremely important that the patterns were placed exactly the same on each chair. Al did a beautiful job. He also added extra poly-wrap to the which have a down fill. The chairs now looked brand new. Although I always buy my own fabric, Al has a large selection of fabrics if you need fabric. He also can supply a leather hide. I've had several more pieces done by Al. Al is easy to work with and always met my deadlines even during the busy holiday season when he was extremely busy. Al takes pride in his work and is a very nice person. Al works alone so you may have to call him a few times to reach him. You'll also need to deliver your pieces to him. read more

Amazing work, attention to detail, ahead of schedule at a reasonable price. All of the above! We are do it yourselfers updating a very dated travel trailer. We brought the jacknife couch and banquet cushions to Al, because we were hoping for a very professional job and got just that. I called several others and they either couldn't be bothered, couldn't make the timeline or wanted all the money up front(?). I was able to provide the fabric and when the work was finished, Al showed me all the details that are clearly and proudly put into his work. He will communicate over email and call you promptly when work is done or clarification is needed. Some like AOK won't. I had 14 down pillows on my sofa that we're constantly loosing feathers. Al did new linings for the pillows and they are better than new! This is the first time my wife and I had something reupholstered so we didn't really know what to expect. We had an old couch and chair that were pretty much shot but we decided to get them reupholstered. Al did an amazing job and the turn around was way faster than expected. It is clear that he takes a great deal of pride in his work, he even came in on his day off so we could pick up our furniture. I would highly recommend him and we'll be taking more work to him soon. I happened upon this shop while searching for tile in an adjacent business. I had a Cal King headboard, footboard and side rails made of fabric which was dated and worn. Al is the Michelangelo of Upholstery!! We brought in a large double-armed chaise lounge to be reupholstered. The print was a Lodge themed deer/bear print with a stripe. Al matched the print perfectly on the loose pillows and ottoman!! He also completely redid the chair, checking the springs, re-stuffing everything, and staining the nicks on the wooden legs. Each pillow has a zippered slipcover so it could be removed and cleaned. He took the extra fabric and made two additional zippered throw pillows we could use on the adjoining couch which pulled all the furniture together. Excellent job and craftsmanship!!! And on time, we had a 10 day deadline which he completed in 7 days.
