You wear a heart rate monitor and it calculates your heart rate and all kinds of other information which allows you to adjust your workout in real time. The information is also emailed to you so you can review it and adjust your future workouts. You continue to burn calories well after the work out. The staff was extremely friendly. The coach was fantastic. They have a full locker room with showers. Unfortunately, the lighting in this space gave me a migraine and I won't be able to go back(orange lights mixed with natural sunlight). Lighting is something I personally get migraines from and is not a reflection of the space.

Her instructions were clear to follow and she was good at checking up on each of us to make sure we had good form. If you are a first timer be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early so your instructor can give you the details on how the equipment works and go over all the different moves for the class. It was my first time using the megaformer so there was a bit of a learning curve but it wasn't too bad using it. I definitely got a good workout and various muscles were sore the next day. The room and equipment were all very well maintained and there was a lot of cool air flow throughout the class so while the workout could be intense, I never felt overheated or warm. The coaches are awesome and they help when your form is incorrect/if modications are needed. The coaches are supportive that they help me do better and get stronger each visit. Everyone is friendly and its a great community to be a part of. Working out is more enjoyable with people who acknowledge how hard you're trying and saying how awesome you are throughout the workout. They also have Hyrox classes on Wednesdays and during the weekends. So take advantage if you're participating at Hyrox or want to experience how preparing for Hyrox is like! There's plenty of parking and also a play space for kids (I've never personally used it but I've seen some members bring their kids and let them play during their scheduled time)

I have done Orange Theory before, and I love group fitness atmospheres, but the treadmill/running just doesn't work for me, so I love that cardio here is either the bike or a rowing machine. However, what I was most impressed with this morning was the super energetic and fun staff they have there. All of them greeted me with a genuine smile and the enthusiasm you need to take a 6am class! Thanks for a great first class- I'm sold! :) Coach June & Coach Drew are so motivating and alway push me to give it my true all... I love being challenged and not being allowed to give up or get lazy. This place is awesome.

Pro: Very clean. Great work outs…read more Con: Staff is sadly very snooty and rude to their customers. Not the kind of vibe you want to be around. I recently moved from Manhatten Beach and heard many great things about Eat the Frog. My background is cross fit. My two colleagues told me about this place and stated they both received first responder discounts (back when they were providing those). They brought myself and another co worker along for a class. After the first class we both inquired about memberships and provided our first responder badges so they knew we were the real deal. The front desk lady was very rude. She told my colleague "you can have the first responder discount" and the pointed to me and said, "and you can pay full price." We all inquired why as this didn't seem right. She rolled her eyes at me and said, "if you can't pay the full price, maybe you just don't belong here." I politely declined and walked away. The lady at the front desk was unaware that my friends were still there (just around the corner getting stuck from the locker) and she continued to make rude comments about me even after I left. I am disappointed in this fitness scene as I had always come from a really warm, positive gym environment. I personally will pass on supporting negative people with poor character.
