I was a bit skeptical- as I had never been to a chiropractor and never had a medical massage or acupuncture. The ladies at the front desk are amazing and are great at handling my insurance and reminding me of upcoming appointments. I typically see one of two chiropractors and they are great at identifying issues and adjusting right where I need it, as well as giving advice and exercises/stretches that I can do between visits. The massages are great also. Who I get assigned for the massage is rotated, but they all have my chart and pick up right where the others left off. I typically get electronic simulation at the end of every massage and shots from the doctor to release pressure points when needed. On Fridays they have acupuncture, which I highly recommend that you give a try. I never tried it before and was super skeptical of but 8 months later... I have never looked back. I let her know what's been bothering me lately health wise (stomach, back, sinuses, etc) and she focuses on treatment for that problem. I have also recently tried the cupping w/acupuncture. It leaves weird bruises for a few days but feels great and is said to work wonders for muscle recovery! Finally you get a free evaluation and massage to try them out on your first visit & even if you are out of network, you still may not have to pay out of pocket other than copay- depending on your plan.

I met for a consultation with Beverly & immediately noticed her professionalism, kindness & real interest in my case. She listened to my full history, asked questions & even consulted with some of her colleagues before creating a treatment plan for my specific issues. I worked with her twice weekly for 4+ months & the improvements are amazing. She encouraged me to work through the plan, modified & increased exercises as I improved & always provided encouragement. Over the 4+ months I watched her work with many other patients with varying degrees of challenges & she was always the consummate professional & she made it a really positive experience. The billing managers & front desk manager were also kind & efficient even at 8am! The office is brand new & has both stairs & an elevator if you need it. My mom had been suffering from terrible knee pain after going through a slew of shots and…read moremedication she was finally sent for an MRI which showed a meniscus tear and arthritis, her ortho at the time said she needed a knee replacement, my mom has many co-morbidities and we knew that knee replacement wasn't the safest option for her. I researched alternatives for knee replacement and found Dr. Levy's office and made an appointment for a consultation. We first met with his PA Kevin who conducted a very thorough examination and as mom stated, she had never had that type of extensive orthopedic exam ever, plus Kevin is a very nice guy, patient and very knowledgeable, then we met with Dr. Levy who went over the MRI in great detail with us, we found out that mom had issues in addition to her torn meniscus (turns out at surgery she had 2 serious tears we were never informed of), he told us mom didn't need knee replacement (the practice's bottomline is to save the joint as best as possible) and went into detail as to the procedure he was to perform as well as addressing the menisci, both Dr. Levy and Kevin took their time with us and answered any questions we had. Mom had her surgery in December and is doing well. Dr. Levy and his staff are nice, professional and caring. I was so impressed by Dr. Levy's practice and philosophy that I ended up treating with him for an issue that I've had for over a year, I saw 4 different doctors by the time I was given a script for an MRI and was told nothing could be done for me, one doctor stated I may need a knee replacement, I saw Dr. Levy who easily found my issue by studying my MRI closely and I am scheduled for surgery in the near future. If it weren't for Dr. Levy's knowledge (he's a researcher and inventor as well) I still would be on the vicious cycle of cortisone shots, PT and gel shots. In my experience, it's amazing how insurance companies will easily pay for a major surgery like a total knee replacement (which I don't need) than pay for other treatment that they'd otherwise think is considered alternative, I gladly will treat out of network in order to get the treatment that I need instead of being treated in a cookie cutter way (like being told I need a total knee replacement when I had 'some' arthritis and in a small part of my knee) and Dr. Levy doesn't treat anyone in a cookie cutter way, he treats them as individuals with different needs. I highly recommend him and his staff. Mom treats in the Ironbound section of Newark, and I treat in his Millburn location and both locations are great!

Only went to a few sessions to see if it got better and found another place that actually provided physical therapy. Complete waste of time and money. I had a prescription for 12 sessions at PT. A work colleague had been to A R Rehab and recommended it to me. My pain was essentially gone after about nine sessions. It was a bit more painful at the onset, but I suppose that is to be expected. My therapy routine and the recommendation of what to do on the off days helped alleviate the pain after about six weeks of treatment.

It's blatantly obvious she is pushing maximum volume through the office, which I can only see as being beneficial for her, financially. She has the patients run through exercises on their own and then spent minimal time actually treating me. Her attention span is horrific, and I got so frustrated that I started recording the time she spent working on my injury, which averaged between four and a half to eight minutes. Often times, she would stop working on me to turn to talk to another patient about something frivolous such as grilling recipes or day camp. After spending over a thousand dollars in PT sessions, I was forced to go to another physical therapist group in the area. The average physical therapist works on his/her clients one on one for approximately 30-45 minutes a session, not less than ten minutes, which was I experienced here. If you're serious about healing your injury and getting back to an active lifestyle as soon possible, do your homework and go elsewhere.
