I have had great experiences coming to this location. The front staff was friendly, the waiting room wasn't very crowded the few times I've gone, and the facility was clean. Altameds dermatology specialist, Dr. Lomeli, is here weekly on Wednesday's and does procedures. I received great medical care for my dermatology issue; the doctor was very friendly, sensitive to my issues, gave realistic expectations, and did amazing work. I have had minimal wait times at this location compared to other Altamed locations, and have never had an issue with parking. read more

Just want to shout to this group of kind hearted workers at Altamed. They are swamped with patients from all walks of life and every time I come hear alls I see is great service. From patience, kindness to understanding is an understatement of their abilities in dealing with people. I like this clinic because it's convenient for me from my house . So far Drs have been great , Just these ultrasound appointments that are done from someone else that's not your Obgyn , it's ridiculous, why schedule clients at a certain time and not see them at their expected time . Yes I understand 15 min the most to not be on time but almost two hours I've been sitting here for 1 hour and I clearly let the front desk know that I come during my lunch break and if the ultrasound person is not going to be here on time I would like a call so I don't have to be here waiting . Because of my last experience I really thought they took this as consideration but no ! Not only am I losing my lunch but my work time just waiting to be seen for 30 min . ? How does that make sense . Don't have patients waiting for an ultrasound. There should be a call in advance to let everyone know that they are running late and expected time . Been a patient here since I moved to OC in 2021 but choosing this office was obviously my biggest mistake. Everything was fine from the start but slowly declined. I took my daughter in June of 2024 , during her appointment the nurse informed that they "lost" her immunization card. After I had left they magically found it and I told them I would come to pick it up at her next appointment. I waited a whole month for her appointment to come , even arrived early and had to the most downright negative experience. We were the first patients checked in on the pediatrics side . Believe it or not the whole room was called and me and my child were left sitting there.. People who came in after us were called and it began to frustrate me. So I asked them to just give me her immunization card so we could leave. The assistant prints one out and I let her know that I have a physical card that was given to me from her birth. I told her that, and she told me she would check. Minutes pass and she never said anything, so I asked the other assistant to help me get it, and he turns right around from the desk to look for it. Which means the other assistant blatantly just disregarded my request. Finally they hand me the card and I leave. I don't even want to make it a race issue, but I was the only black person present and I felt discriminated against. I should've have reported the assistant who ignored me and went about her day. Seems like they favor their own, but I strongly would not recommend this office. read more

I've had so many issues at this place. I've even walked in to others having issues here. From scheduling problems to incomplete referrals, this place is just awful. I have never had these problems at the Anaheim location. It's sucks that you can't call the front desk, and even when you go in person they seem to not care to resolve your issues. There is one decent Dr here, Dr.Lily Singh. She is the only reason there are two stars here instead of one. I would highly recommend scheduling at a different office. read more

I have attended this location on multiple occasions and have always received fast service. The front office is cheerful and welcoming. I had my appointments with Dr. Zahed and was happy with the fact that he is direct and addressed my concerns in a respectful yet informative manner. My prescriptions have always been ready at my local pharmacy prior to me leaving the clinic, which demonstrates the doctors and staff are on top of their game. My appointments have not taken a lot of my time yet all of my questions and concerns get answered. What I love about this clinic: Dr Shaffee. He saved my life, literally. He came in on a Saturday to do a complicated surgery to save me from bleeding to death. Some of the staff are nice people as well. The thing I can't stand about this clinic: The lady who sits in the middle in the front absolutely disgusts me (and others too, judging by the personal messages and likes on my tip here). She chews gum with her mouth wide open like a cow. The sound is unbearable. Every time I went there I stood 3 feet away and kind of covered my ear when talking to her. She never got the hint at all. She just looked at me like I was crazy. The thing that disappoints me about this clinic: The nurse's assistant who takes your vitals when you first go to the back is the one who blurted out to me that I had cancer. The doctor hadn't even told me yet. I had just walked in and she starts going on about how the oncologist was just there, preparing my treatment plan. I said, "So I have cancer?" And she just shut up really fast. I was in shock at first so I didn't say anything but a few minutes later, I started thinking about my daughter being alone if I died and tears started to roll down my face so she literally ran out. She ran out of the room without a word like a selfish child, leaving me alone. I thought that was pretty awful. That little girl was ridiculous. read more

I first went to this clinic end of February to get proper paperwork and health checks done for Medical School. Although at first the experience seemed fine it was the beginning of my nightmares. I handed Dr. Macrina Rosas my school paperwork that showed the exact blood tests they needed for her to order none of which she clearly paid attention to. Due to her negligence and lack of attention to my care I was forced to do bloodwork on 3 separate occasions (all could've been done in one bloodwork appointment) within a span of a month. (Due to my small veins it was very hard to get blood resulting in me getting poked over 4 times each visit and almost fainting twice). I asked one nurse that I'd like to put a complaint due to all this and was assured that my case would be looked at by a supervisor and would be contacted.... It has been over a month since then and not one person has called. Constant drives and taking time off work just to never be acknowledged by the clinic and their horrendous attention to care just shows their "care" for others. Be very cautious of coming to this location or atleast if you are seeing Dr.Rosas with paperwork as clearly she is not cautious whatsoever with reading the paperwork and what's needed/asked. This whole process took me well over 3 months to complete and almost caused me to miss my school's deadlines to turn in the necessary paper work. read more

I started going here when I was on Medi-cal. I received excellent care. I had been neglecting my health for many years and had been working long hours at a stressful job. It really took its toll on me. They addressed all my issues, sent me for necessary tests and diagnostics, and referred me to see the appropriate specialists. i have been with Kaiser my entire life, but due to COVID-19, i lost my job which meant i lost my health insurance. I found out i was pregnant and needed to been seen so i came here because of medical. This place is honestly the worst. From the start you can obviously tell, none of these people care about you, at all. No one ever called me to confirm any of my appts. The women's health coordinator has the worst attitude i have ever met in any health professional setting. She went on to ask me personal information like how much i was receiving from unemployment, was visibly upset when assuming the amount and how long i'd be getting it. i just asked her, what does this have to do with my baby?? The way she explains tests or procedures is with such attitude and expects you to know everything already. I honestly hate this place. you don't get an option to choose the doctor who will deliver your baby, it is decided for you and she told me i most likely wouldn't even meet him until my baby was ready to be born. None of your test results are given to you, so i'm still sitting here wondering wtf is going on and if my baby is okay. the girls who give the ultrasounds on tuesday's are no better. They speak to you in such rude tones and do not explain anything. They show you your baby for about 5 seconds and the pictures they printed out for me like literally like a blob. they didn't even bother to get an actual decent picture of my baby. The only positive person i've met here was the actual nurse, Tina Bloomer. she took time to review my history, answered any questions i had and made me feel like she actually cared! she did an ultrasound where we saw my baby moving like crazy and she was the one who suggested i record and grabbed my phone to make sure i got great footage of my little one. i wish she was somewhere else because i wouldn't mind staying with her. This has been the most horrific experience! I arrived 10mins prior to my appointment at 2:30pm and they seated me in the doctor's room and told me I would be next. After 45 mins of waiting, still no one bothered to check up on me. Very unprofessional and unpleasant experience and would not recommend anyone here! I have a 30 week preemie, and I'm a first time mom. You can only imagine how my heart sank when I brought my baby in because she was having an eye issue and a fever only to be told her insurance wont be transferred back to AltaMed for another 2 days. The women at the front desk were so helpful in making sure my baby was able to be seen by her Doctor. I was dreading a visit to the ER just to be sent back to her Doctor 2 days later. Dr. Zahed has been an absolute nightmare for me. Can't get in touch with the guy, help desk only offers to make me an appointment three months out. Every time I need a refill, it's a stalemate between getting this doctor to reply or to even get him to respond. My medications cause withdrawals and this is just another doctor who clearly cannot be bothered to care. I've been sending faxes through my pharmacy and attempting to call in repeatedly for months. Oh, and when I do setup an appointment, I get flak because I didn't get the blood-tests from a separate location in another city. I don't have time for this and clearly my doctor doesn't either. Thank you so much for wasting my time and not helping me out by responding to a fax. Cannot put into words how upset I am that you are causing a second withdrawal in the short time I've been visiting this clinic. I gave you one star and I promise, it is not hyperbole. UPDATE: Called customer support to ask about other options or doctors in the area and they sent a refill request directly from their own system. Customer service rep claims that this is a much more direct way to ask for a refill, although doctor may still ask me to create an appointment. I'll update this review if the doctor gets back to me. There is a doctor here by the name of Reza Shafee. I honestly do not recommend any woman come here to see him. Evidently in my opinion he is negligent and lacks the ability to provide patient care with dignity. I am unsure if he treats all of his patients the same way as he has treated me or if it is just because I am part of the LGBT community. I feel as if he has treated me with such disdain due to the fact that I am a lesbian. This Dr. Is the only one that has treated me poorly here. Anyone with a baby should stay away from this place! I'm a first time mom and my son is 3 weeks old... I initially wanted to go to another pediatrician for my son's care but unfortunately the hospital I delivered at only gave me the option to see Dr.Park due to insurance issues but I thought no biggie as long as he is under the care of someone.. Everything started at the hospital a day after my delivery, Dr. Park was supposed to go and check on my little one except she never showed up and the hospital ended up providing one of theirs.. That made me feel off about her from the start, then I made an appointment for 3 days after his discharge from the hospital and took him down to his first appointment with her.. Everything went fine the first time, however on week 2 my baby started getting very yellow which I suspected was signs of jaundice.. By the time his second follow up came his eyes were also yellow.. As a first time mom I was extremely scared, day of appointment came and we went in... She checked vital signs, weight and everything.. She said he had lost some weight and I told her he was feeding but he looked sleepy, more than usual and was very fussy.. I also mentioned his yellow skin tone as well as the yellow in his eyes... She told me it was normal and it was going to go away after 6 weeks, I believe her since she's supposed to be the one with more knowledge. He keep looking the same, still was fussy and every time he was awake he would only cry.. It was hell, she had us scheduled for a third follow up due to him not gaining enough weight despite me feeding around the clock.. The week for his third appointment came and we went in... He had lost more weight, she kept asking me how much I was feeding him and that maybe I was doing it wrong.. As a first time mom last thing you want to hear is you are doing things wrong and you may be at fault for your baby suffering.. My husband reassure her I was constantly feeding to the point I hadn't sleep for more than 10 min since he was born.. She only said ok well come back next week again and we'll see.. She was about to walk out after not only checking him for no more than 10 min when I stopped her and asked her to please look at him again cus he still look very yellow to me, then she says "oh yeah I haven't even checked his vitals" like what?! So irresponsible! So she checks them, and then takes a look at my son and says "oh my god he's really yellow" like really lady?!... That's what I've been saying for the past 3 weeks! She send us for some asap lab work.. Gives us a call that same night saying he had to be hospitalized asap due to his leves being at 21.. I started to cry, couldn't even understand how it got to that point when I kept pointing how he looked worst everytime and how fussy he was... We took him in 40 min after she called me, he was put on phototherapy and connected to bunch of machines with an iv.. Anyone who's a mom knows how much it hurts to see your little one suffer.. It broke me, thankfully my husband was my side.. They did tests, turns out his jaundice was not only high, he had developed a UTI.. All the doctors kept asking me how the pediatrician that was seeing him didn't notice the signs.. I told them everything , every single detail and they said she should've paid more attention.. 5 days after, he's about to be discharged.. His levels went down to 13, his UTI is being treated with antibiotics.. His skin and eyes are no longer yellow and he eats like crazy which is wonderful! His diaper output is beautiful and his looking more full.. Thankfully the infection didn't spread anywhere else.. But it breaks my heart because I keep wondering what would've happened if I had not stopped her that day and asked her to check him one more time... Why didn't she notice before it got to this point? My son was underweight when we brought him in to the hospital that night.. He had a UTI, and a chance of developing meningitis.. Please please if you have a baby, don't bring him to this clinic to be seen by her.. Thank god I was able to bring my little one just in time.. I just thought I should warn moms so no one goes to what I went thru.. read more

Really glad I told her that Im always on time and they're always behind, so it was really pointless to be there on time. Anyways, Next week, I'm there on time and the lady at the front does not check me in, one hour lateeer !!! The finally noticed that I Was there. They put me on the examination room another 30 min!!! To see the doctor. Once we are done, dr. Tina told me to wait that a nurse was gonna give me my next appt, gues what?? No one goes !!! Until I had to go to the nurse station and tell them like "Hello I'm still here!" Just because I'm about to give birth if not I would change my doctor right away. It's been Three times that while I'm on the waiting room people is complaining about their services. On 1/23/2017, I went in for an appt with Dr. Shahrokh Zahed, MD. I was there for about an hour and a half. The nurse, Diana, that checked me in, was great. The Dr, however, believes in falsifying his patients' medical records & the paperwork I was sent home with proves it. He claims to have discussed with me and given me paperwork for several items that Never took place. There are more items listed than actually took place or were discussed. According to him and his version of my file, I am fat and need to lose weight, at 5'6" and 141lbs. I drink 3-4 times a Year but HE says I have a drinking problem. He made several other false claims as well. I filed a grievance and am looking for another provider. I suggest to other patients, that you review your copy of paperwork very clearly to make sure he isn't trying to pad Your medical file as well, to which he will then report to the insurance company to be paid for services rendered. I've been bringing my 4 children to this location for several years now. The level of service we receive here exceeds all expectations everytime! Even if it's been great lengths of time between visits, my children and I are always greeted by Anabel Hernandez at the front desk with great familiarity. Before going to AltaMed in Orange, I was a bit skeptical due to all the negative reviews and comments from family members about AltaMed itself. However, my own personal experience at AltaMed in Orange is quite the contrary. The receptionists and staff are very inviting and are very friendly. I was assigned to Dr. Marie VuFlores and she is by far one of the best doctor I have ever had. She truly cares about you and your health. I am very satisfied with this location. read more

I've been going to the Altamed office in Orange for about 3 years now. I personally have only had great professional service. Ive read some of the other reviews and thought wtf there's no way. Im just a female patient late forties (no spring chicken) on caloptima (statepaid insurance) and I never write reviews (ugh my writing) and I really dont have a fondness of going to the Drs by any means, but seriously Dr Zaheed has only been the best. I was the type of individual that would hide my medical conditions when filling out the office forms. But this office is my family. Ive put them through a lot of my life's ups and downs. Shout outs to Tina for being the best gyn, Ashley the most hard working nurse that has witnessed things (TG for Hippa laws), office frontman Erik (hoping got name right) and Dr Angulo whom I just met because I needed Dr that day. Same day appointments easypeasy. Dont be rude and be late (but I have been many times sorry) but they do the best to change times if they can and only waited 15 more minutes to be called. Log onto the guest wifi and play games. If they start slacking off or if a bad Dr visit comes along, I'll be sure to write it. I am first going to say that I never give bad reviews, ever. But my experience today was just one of many that have finally got me to that point. I will start by saying that I never have any problems when I actually go into the office. Until today, my only problem was with the nurse hotline and the impossibility of getting anyone from my office on the phone. I've called the nurse hotline twice, and will never call again. Both times I got the most rude and disrespectful people. One acted like I was wasting her time and she couldn't believe she had to spend time with me on the phone. And the fact that the office doesn't have a direct line, is ridiculous. Especially considering that I can never get anyone to actually connect me. At one point, someone told me they weren't allowed to connect me to the office no matter what. Now today, I get a voicemail saying I had a prescription waiting for me at my pharmacy. Didn't tell me what it was or what it was for. And I haven't seen my dr in almost a month. Just said that IF I had any questions to call back. So I did, and had to wait all day for someone to return my call. They finally do and tell me that confidentiality wise they couldn't go into detail, but that the pharmacy sometimes calls, as if they would have told me what it was for or anything. I had to ask what it was for, an infection. I had to to ask what kind of infection. And that was it. She didn't tell me what kind of infection, what happens, if it hurts my baby (i'm pregnant), no details... It blew my mind. I had to freaking google it! If i wasn't so late in my pregnancy I would change doctors in a heartbeat!!! read more

This place is terrible, due to staff not paying attention! Administered an immunization that we did not authorize for my daughter! The immunization that was given, is an optional Individual choice. I would not recommend this place for the reason stated and some other observations: the doctor or PA they had treating patients, lacked attention to detail & her English was very broken; extremely hard to understand her. Our experience was horrible! My daughter absolutely did not want the immunization, which was the worst part of this. I hope someone within there quality care department really takes the time to investigate how many more errors they do at this terrible clinic. I didn't even know this place was here and I drive chapman all the time. Super nice inside! Very clean, new feel to it, and the staff was very friendly. I saw the nurse practitioner and she was amazing! I had a few concerns about things and she explained her answers to where I understood them and they weren't just medical talk. My blood work was quick and fairly painless. - *update: I gave them 5 stars back a few weeks ago but have definitely changed my mind on this place. Trying to get on the phone with them is a joke, I'm always on hold for at least 30 minutes. I was scheduled a follow up appt to hear the results of my blood test. I got automated phone calls and texts to confirm my appt. I show up the next day and they said "oh... we sent you a letter. you didn't need to come in today." Then maybe tell me that! Or don't make me a follow up appt, or send me confirmation texts! They had no answers for me from my blood tests, no suggestions on what to do. Nothing. I then got a bill for an outrageous amount to pay for those tests - mind you I have PPO insurance. I thought this place was going to be good but it's just like most places.. shady. read more
