When I attempted to resolve the issue, I encountered multiple problems: I was unable to reach anyone for months The laboratory changed their address and phone number after the initial invoice No chain of custody for the specimen could be provided No consent or authorization was on file No documentation linking the test to my child was produced Despite the lack of proof, I was threatened with collections. Ultimately, I paid the bill solely to avoid potential credit damage--not because the charge was valid. What was most disappointing was the lack of support or advocacy from PM Pediatrics in resolving this issue, even though the situation stemmed from care received at their facility. If there was an additional payment to be made, don't you think it would've been paid at the time we paid it?! Mind you, this wasn't a separate bill they were charging us for. This was stated as a "partial payment" of the original bill. They stated the total bill was for $700 something when we were told a much lesser amount. Of course, we called their billing department to dispute this. AND OF COURSE, they found themselves to be in the right so it was either pay the difference they said we owed or get sent to collections. This place is a complete rip off for the service they provide, they are dishonest in their practices, and I'm surprised they are even still in business.
