I've seen Nikki in this side a lot and she has such patience even with fellow patients that are just not grateful and downright rude. I came into this hospital because of a gallbladder stone and have been given proper care. They recommended I get my gallbladder removed so I'm going to do that. Very thorough testing, and Raz the radiologist is a cool cat. Learned a lot from him. I am grateful for everyone who has helped me improve my health, really cozy place in a pocket of Tustin. This place is extremely unsanitary and poorly maintained. Trash is piled up to the point that it is falling onto the floor, including used gloves, bandages, and towels. The rooms are dirty, and it appears that cleaning is not being done regularly. The overall condition of the facility is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and safety. I would like to say that my mom was hospitalized at this hospital a few months ago and the nurse that took care of her, Marcus on the med surg floor, was by far the most caring and understanding nurse we have ever met. He always answered our questions, kept me updated about her, and gave her the most excellent care. She was always bathed and clean which is rare for most hospitals we've been too. She even told me he washed her hair . I pray we don't end up in the hospital again but if we do my mom will definitely request to be in his care again. Friday April 4, 2025 Their MED SURGE Unit staff, charge nurse and nurse leader treat MED SURGE Patient's Room 101 as a staff area. Room 101 is located across the hallway from the unit's nursing station. As a visitor of a patient in MED SURGE Room 101 Bed A, I observed a female staff member peel gloves off her hands toss them into the overflowing trash can inside Room 101 as she passed the room pushing a portable charting cart. Another incident, a bald male staff member entered the room without knocking or introducing himself. He proceeded to turn on the faucet, wet his hands, did NOT use liquid soap, rubbed his hands together, turned off the faucet, grabbed paper towel, threw it in the overflowing trash can and left. Later, I observed him pushing a cart will dinner food trays. Both staff members are not part of Room 101 patient's care team When my sister arrived to visit, I told her what I observed in regards to the staff's inappropriate behavior. While I had my back to the door opening, she watched a nurse eating, throw her empty drink cup with straw into the overflowing trash can inside Room 101 as she past by. My sister said like that. I decided to inform the charge nurse about our concerns with staff members behavior When I stepped into the hallway, Room 101 nurse's aide asked if I needed something. I told him I was pissed about some staff members entering the room and tossing trash into her room. I asked to speak with the unit charge nurse. He went to locate them. He informed me that he let the house supervisor know I wanted to speak to them. I asked him to show me where they were He took me down the hall to the office. I followed him into the office. The older female staff member became visibly upset, yelled you can't be in here. I apologized for my error, exited the office and waited for her to approach me. While waiting I received a phone call, the woman saw me on the phone and went back into the office. I asked the nurse's aid to let her know I'm ready to speak with her now The brunette white female staff member did not introduce herself. She was wearing a badge holder with few items hanging from it. The top one facing me was blank. I asked her to flip it over so I could see her name and take a photo of it. She refused to show me, clenched all of them in her hand, went back into the office and picked up the phone I returned to Room 101, let my family members know what happened. The patient in Bed A said security was coming. A blonde white female staff member came to the doorway, she asked me to step out, a male security officer was standing nearby. She said she didn't like the way I was with her staff member I asked her if there was an office or a private area where we could continue our conversation. She told me no that this would suffice. We moved a few feet away from Room 101 doorway. We were still in a public hallway. I told her the House Supervisor refused to show me her badge or tell me her name. The blonde white woman told me she could tell me her name, that the woman is unit charge nurse. Blonde white staff member said she was the House Supervisor. Her badge was facing up with her name Brigit something visible. Her staff position badge printed nurse leader. House Supervisor Brigit told me there was to be no photos or any videos of any kind to be taken I told the House Supervisor Brigit yesterday my sister had spent most of the day till late in the evening in St. Jude Hospital ER. It was late in the evening when she was transferred by ambulance to Foothill Regional Medical Center. Probably it was after 11pm before she was settled in her room. Per my sister the toilet in her bathroom was flushed all night. The curtain was drawn around her bed. She could not see who was using the bathroom. She was not able to get any sleep or rest I let House Supervisor Brigit know per my hospital policy, personal are required to wear their badges so patients can see their picture, name and position. I inquiried why her unit charge nurse is not. House Supervisor Brigit told me the unit charge nurse wears her badge in the right area. She offered no explanation as to why not displaying front of the badge is acceptable practice I explained to House Supervisor Brigit all our family's observations and concerns regarding hospital staff who are not part of our sister's care team entering the room, using the sink and discarding outside items into her trash can. House Supervisor said the sink and trash can are not part of her bathroom. The area around the sink and trash can be used by anyone. As long as the staff does not enter the door into the toilet. She said the trash can is in the doorway. She was positive no staff members used her toilet. She told me there are two public restrooms on either side of the MED SURGE Nursing Station. She asked if I had any other concerns she could address. She told me staff using the area inside the room was NOT breaking any rules. She will talk to her staff read more

I had to come in to get a lumbar puncture to do more testing to check for Multiple sclerosis and other things and also because I have a tumor in my spine. My appointment was at 8:00 and my procedure was at 10:00. I got checked in by Jessie she was really nice and assured me I will be ok cause I was having bad anxiety. I forgot I have been to this hospital before for an endoscopy. They were really caring when I came in last time. They don't have the best parking lot but they told me they are expanding the hospital. When I got there I was nervous and scared of course, waited in the waiting room, then they took me to my room to prep me my nurse his name was Anthony he was nice he had to check on me often. I had an iv put in me to draw blood, they had me lay down and wait while they checked my vital signs and everything, then I got taken for a CT scan on my brain. I got taken back to the room with two other people. I was actually the youngest person there. Charles was really nice he explained everything that would happen during my lumbar puncture and when I got my CT scan. Dr. Shahbaz was the one who performed my lumbar puncture I met him when I got put into the operation room. He was nice but we didn't talk too much but he explained what he was doing during. I had to use the bathroom right before the procedure and couldn't tell the distance between the table and the floor so I fell, little embarrassing, but I was ok. Then when I got back from the bathroom it was time. I was scared Charles let me squeeze his hand cause I was really frightened then needle went in and that sorta hurt felt like a pitch but when they actually took my spinal fluid out I didn't feel much. I was shaking and scared but I got through it. After it was done they rolled me back to my room. They told me I had to lay still on my back for 2 hours and then later they slowly lifted my head little by little to make sure my headache didn't get too severe. It did but not unbearable. After about 2 hours I was able to drink water I was so thirsty but couldn't drink till I could sit up. Then I had to get blood drawn again but the other nurse that came in her name was Julia her and I got along right away she was so sweet and told me I shouldn't be there but I told her all my issues going on so she understood why I was there. The drive home was so painful I felt every bump and curve and everything, it was unbelievable, after getting home the pain in my lower back was unreal and then the pain in my head started. I couldn't even lift my head up from the pillow without my head feeling like it's going to explode. I have light sensitivity and just sitting or standing gave me unreal pain in my head and back. The experience of getting a lumbar puncture is no joke, but I'm really glad I got it done finally so I can hopefully get some answers to what is going on with me! I don't know if it will be bad or good news but I won't stop fighting. It's really scary going through all this to be honest and not knowing what it is and feeling worse everyday. But I will continue to fight, just like I hope anyone who is or has gone through health issues won't stop fighting either. Thank you Darren who was my contact before getting my procedure done for helping me so much. Thank you to the nurses and Drs and staff for being so caring while I went through something so scary. It's not my favorite hospital but it is nice and the location isn't too far. They treated me well and the hospital is clean and easy to find. The nurses were all awesome! I'll start off by saying the nurses & CNA's were very nice & helpful, the care is horrendous. I was admitted by the ER doctor & was told I could not be discharged without a neuro consult. FAST forward, I never got a neuro consult & was pretty much thrown out on my butt after asking all day what was going on, with no imaging results or diagnosis, & the nursing staff would not give me a copy of any testing, nor a dr note, telling me I had to call Dr. Christopher Salem's office (I am well aware this is not the fault of the nurses). When I called the charge nurse Emily, she "no one is discharged with findings"' & made excuses for Dr. Salem not coming to speak to me. HORRIBLE care, if you want to do testing & not get results, by all means, waste your time. Do better FRMC. I'm definitely filing a grievance with my insurance company. read more

I had a stroke in January (treated at Mission Hosp. in Mission Viejo) and internal bleeding in February, treated at Foothill. Dr. Nguyen at Foothill operated on my stomach and fixed the bleeding. I wanted to thank everybody at Foothill, especially Angela and Marcus, two great nurses and just great people. Foothill is older with older equipment , but it seemed like they were upgrading everything, and it was spotlessly clean, followed good sanitizing protocols, did everything right. My care was about as good as it was at Mission, a really high tech hospital. Telemetry (the regular hospital) feels completely different from emergency/ICU. I was in the ICU for a couple of days and it was not great care or facility. read more

I really didn't know what to expect from this local hospital experience for it was the first time we had to go through this & it was for my dad's both knee surgery. Both experiences was smooth sailing but the first visit exceeded the second visit by a star. So the average rating is 4.5 star. Coming here almost felt like a private & better experience than at a bigger hospital - which I went through once & don't quite want to ever again. My dad's first knee surgery was back in February of this year. The staff, assistants, nurses & even the security were all very professional & exceedingly pleasant. My dad is in his 70s, has an extreme hard of hearing & doesn't understand English very well. Everyone truly treated my dad with lots of care! They made him feel very comfortable & at ease. They even had a traveling machine translator (of many languages) for my dad, since we were not allowed to be there with him at all times to translate for him. My dad only stayed over one night & we were able to pick him up the next day around 1:30pm. The nurse did give me a call prior to let me know. My dad's second knee surgery was in August of this year. The staff & nurses were all very kind but not as attentive. Also, my dad did not like the fact after his surgery and through his over night stay there they had drawn his blood 4 times. A bit excessive & my dad was in discomfort. Plus my dad's English is not so good & not to mention again his hearing is horrible. This time he was in a-lot of pain after his surgery but he due to miscommunication he wasn't given paid meds. My dad could not sleep at all through out the night. Overall, the experience was good. Just odd how the second round wasn't as great as the first. My dad's knee surgery by Dr. Mosich was very successful. So glad we got this out of the way! NOTE: Visiting hours was limited from like 12pm to 6/7pm & only 1 visitor at a time. Must check in with the security at the entrance of the hospital & provide proof of vaccination or negative covid testing. Must wear mask too. read more

It starts w the Doctors and specialists and trickles down to the nursing staff. Some of the people that care for people should not be allowed to. It's not just the medical staff. Hallways constantly smell like feces. Staff not quite off the runway. Hospitalists couldn't pass a nurse practitioner exam. I brought today April 28, 2025 my 90 year old sister to the ER. The staff were very accommodating and very nice. The ER nurse and the rest of the crew were very helpful, attentive, caring and always checking on her. When she was admitted to the hospital, the nurse was so nice and offered me a cup of coffee. The room is clean and well kept. This is just the first day, but I have no doubt that rest of my sister's stay here will be great. read more

Please DO NOT bring your love one here. Always go to hospital for ER. My dad's gtube was fell out and all the hospital were saturated so the only choice we have is here or somewhere further. There was no communication between the doctors or family. They hold off my dad g tube replacement until the fourth day of admission because they said his INR was unstable. My dad was starved for these days and was not able to take any of his medicines. He is a cancer patient, he has lots of critical condition that need to be taken care of. After his gtube was replacement, we thought he could get discharged, but no! The physician keeps saying his INR is low he has to stay. It's fine they want him to stay, but they do not treat his radiation wound, his bed sore, hygiene, his urine bag was so full that no one cares. You would never get nurse come when you pressed the help button. It will take an hour at least for someone to come . I have to finally sign a AMA to get my dad out and transfer to a hospital. When you sign AMA, they would not give you any medical record. You have to apply for medical record to get a copy. They won't even tell me or my dad what medicine he took that day. Oh and they can't give my dad a blanket when he was being transferred, you only get a diaper pad as blanket. It's just ridiculous. I finally get to talk to the physician because I was pulling my dad out. Otherwise there is no way you get to see physician unless you go there and wait for him/her. I have learned my lesson and I hope this would help anyone considered here. Please don't! read more

The worst emergency room visit I have ever experienced. I came in at 4AM because of a previously diagnosed tonsil abscess which I have been treating with antibiotics and elevated glucose levels (I'm a type 1 diabetic). The woman at the front was rude. The doctor told me he could give me insulin and to keep taking my antibiotic (which I was already doing and didn't need a doctor to tell me) my girlfriend in the lobby asked to use a restroom which they responded there wasn't one she could use. And after the doctor stared into my mouth for no less than 5 minutes and not even checking my glucose nor asking my glucose # (it was 360 from my CGM) they asked me to sign papers for insurance billing. Which I declined because a school nurse could've done more. DO NOT COME HERE FOR HELP! read more

I had a seizure and was taking here by the ambulance, From beginning to end, I was taking care of In the ER I was care of by Lo, who was super cool, When I got to my room/bed I was taking care of by the nurses, the ones that stood out with Elisa, Brittany, and Salia. I hope they see this because they deserve all the props in the world. They legit made me feel special, Even though of course I saw they were like that with everyone which of course makes them amazing nurses. Generally caring, knowledgable, and if they didn't know an answer to something they went and found out. I was there for 4 days, and didn't have one bad moment with them. The only negative feedback is that the doctors should explain any and all results to the patients before they leave the hospital. They leave it all the nurses to try and find answers for the patients. But yeah, Props to the nurses that took care of me! You're the best. read more

I truly loved the friendliness of each staff member who tended to me while I was there. Starting with Bein in pre-op. He was great. Made me feel at ease because I was totally nervous. Each nurse that helped me out.. beyond any expectation I would have. The ladies were always very sweet and attentive. Nurse Vanessa was amazing. She is a true definition on how patients should be treated. Always friendly. My evening nurse (can't remember her name) was also great. As many times I needed assistance to go to the restroom, she always did it with a smile. The Xray techs were great too. They made me laugh and made sure I was at ease. They went above and beyond by be so kind and making I was well taken care and not just some other patient with needs. I cried because Ann was so helpful and genuine during my chronicle pain. This review is of my emergency room staff during my visit today. The check in and admission process was very quick. Surprisingly I was the only patient, I got lucky. The dr and the staff were very friendly. Upon being given my room I was greeted by more staff. They were all so very attentive, they moved very quickly, the dr wasted no time putting in orders for labs, blood work, tests, etc...The staff collected everything they needed from me, the ultrasound tech was there quickly and I was picked up for my ct scan quickly also. I was given meds for pain and I waited for results. The care I received today was outstanding, the Dr listened and addressed every last one of my concerns and if I ever need the er again I know right where to go. The only thing I would change would be the speed of the results, I was seen quickly but I waited around 4 hrs for test results. Also I would've liked to have received paperwork stating what tests or exams were taken and also results so that I can show my Dr what was done when I go to my follow up, unfortunately I was told to call medical for that info. Most er's give you that upon discharge. Having to request that medical records is a huge inconvenience. And that is the reason for only 4 stars. Other than that I'm very pleased with my visit. Today I made a mistake on my part, a stupid one. I can to this hospital and from the very start, the entire staff was so caring and helpful. I felt they truly cared about helping me and making sure I was okay. My nurse Robert was a great guy, if anything ever happens to me I hope I get him next time. After a complaint to the House Supervisor on Friday about staff inappropriately using the patient bathroom and trash can in my sisters room....Now on Saturday the following day ....She is getting very delayed service ....40 minutes to answer a call light, the bed board with names was not completed. I watched and waited for someone to come help her off the toilet, she pulled the red cord as instructed and no one came to her assistance, I had to grab her as she came out of the bathroom by herself very unsteady. I helped her to the bed. I actually pulled the red cord a second time and watched as Nurses looked up at a lite in the hallway asking each other what it was for....UNBELIEVABLE.... We saw her CNA pushing a cart and I was able to get her attention and she helped my sister fully back to bed. Is it retaliation for the complaint the day before OR purely lack of concern for the patient. To top it off it was my Sisters Birthday !!! read more

Just had my second surgery here and I have zero complaints about this place. The check in process was quick and a nurse came to get me shortly afterwards. You're led to the back prep room where you change into a gown and fluids are administered. The prep nurses are great! The Asian one, I wish I remembered her name, remembered me from my first surgery 7 months ago. You're asked a lot of questions while you wait for your doctor to arrive. Doc arrives, goes over your surgery with you, and you're about 15 minutes out. An operating room nurse wheels you into the surgery room. Everything in there is super clean and the room is very bright. An anesthesiologist comes in, gives you a shot, and boom - you're out like a light and wake up in the recovery room. The recovery room nurses were top notch and the cherry on top of an overall great experience, even though I had my hip replaced. David and Blanca went above and beyond to make sure every need was taken care of while there. I really appreciated everything they did for me. read more
