First and foremost Lucy is a rock star and should be commended. A packed store and positive attitude was all she embodied the entire time. That said Sam at the front was incredibly rude. We found a dress on the floor with no hanger and we tried to pass it to her. She rolled her eyes. Then looked for the hanger and I confirmed the lack of hanger and rolled her eyes again. Most recent Fall 2022 Multiple visits at different times. Very nice and unique boho chic clothing options to choose from in Altar'd State. I dropped in often during the transition from Summer to fall to look at the clearance area. Always extremely clean and organized. The store is shop-able on every visit. The staff acknowledges me on every visit. Everyone seems so friendly and helpful. I felt really taken care of when I headed to the fitting room and I was checked in on a few times and even had the person assisting me bring me a different size. I've purchased a sunflower dress under $25 from here from the clearance. The clothes are not cheap in price or quality. I can appreciate this, as I buy quality items that will last for years. read more

Fabulous shopping experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, chatting with me and helping me find things I would like. I HATE shopping, and rarely enter actual stores-but I cleaned out 20 years of clothes from my closet and needed a fresh start. I entered the store expecting to cruise through and leave-my usual experience-but I was greeted with smiling faces and happy conversation about my outfit and my desire to buy new stuff. I ordered items from the Altard State sister brand, A Beautiful Soul, on 9/16/2020 and it arrived within 2 days (the only positive of my experience). I called before driving 30 minutes to get over to Crabtree to ensure that I could 1. Return items from the sister brand to the store and 2. That because the items were on sale, I could return them. The store associate that answered the phone said I could return A Beautiful Soul items and that as long as the items price ended in (.00), I could return them. So I drove 30 minutes to the mall the return my 2 items rather than paying the $8 return shipping fee. As soon as I got there, the woman at the counter took my bag (which was my personal re-usable bag). Wish she hadn't done that considering we are in a global pandemic. She then proceeded to start my return. First thing she said was I could not return the 2 items because they were from their sister brand. I explained, the person on the phone said that I could. She kind of rolled her eyes and said she would try her best. She then said I could not return the items because they ended in (0.88),which was not true. I tried to pull up my itemized receipt because the receipt they mailed me did not have it. I did not have any connection in the store. I told her the items were on sale on the website last week in the $20,$10,$5 sale on a Beautiful Soul and one of the items was $20 and the other was $5. She continued to argue with me and finally said it was based on the original price. This was not clarified on the company website, over the phone, etc. Then she proceeded the return (which she said she couldn't do twice, but she obviously could). She started to give me store credit. I asked why. She said it had been over 30 days since the purchase. I said "no I literally purchased this less than a week ago online." I showed her the date on the receipt that was right in front of her (like I said above 9/16/2020). I made this return on 9/21/2020. She said "I'm not going to fight with you, just give me your credit card." At this point I just wanted my money back and to get out of the store because now, one of the employees behind the counter was completely maskless! I felt so uncomfortable. Her name was not on the receipt but her cashier number is 984239. Not sure if that is helpful. But now, as I am looking at the receipt, the brand name A Beautiful Soul is printed at the top too. So you can't return the item to this store but it's printed at the top of your receipts. Don't normally write reviews like this but I have found no email to contact the company. I felt so uncomfortable, like I was being singled out because I was trying to return a plus sized item. And then the lady without the mask when at the front of the store was a sign saying to wear a mask is required to enter. UGH. Will not be returning anytime soon at least to this location. Wish a store that claims to "Stand out for Good" wasn't standing out because of their impolite and inconsiderate employees. read more

A female worker that interacted with my friend and I was exceptionally rude from the beginning. She eventually got us a dressing room to tell us that we couldn't go into one together. When we mentioned that we have previously gone in together she simply replied that store policies had changed. As my friend walked into a dressing room, a group of three girls walked out of the dressing room beside her, to which the employee solely replied with a snarky look. Don't go here! read more
